Property Ratings at Hinkston Pond Apartments
Hinkston Pond Apartments provide affordable rent prices for their spacious units
I’ve been living here since 2019 and I’ve loved it. Maintenance is friendly and gets the job done fast. Never had any complaints about the neighbors. Great place to live in!
I lived here for 2 years and had nothing but problems with other tenants in my building and no responses from the office when I would say something about it. I had a garden apartment and they never fixed the broken lock on my living room window I mentioned to them on the walk-through on day 1. I would have moved out after the first year, but couldn't because of COVID. Every time I would email them about an issue, it would be several days before I would get a response, if I got one at all! I moved out a month ago and have yet to see my security deposit returned. I emailed all 6 (!) office emails I have for them and got no response. When I called to ask about it, they said it was still "processing" and would get back to me by the end of the day... Of course I still have yet to hear from them about it. Rent anywhere else but here!
Good place to live! Convenient location! Maintenance team is doing a good job at keeping tenants happy and things working around here. Will definitively recommend Hinkston Pond Apartments to anyone who is looking for an affordable place to live. Gracias!
I absolutely love living at Hinkston Pond Apartments. I've lived here for several years and it is truly home to me. I have a very peaceful view out of my window of a tranquil pond with pretty ducks. It is really safe here and people are so polite and helpful. Management cares about their residents and responds promptly to every request. The maintenance professionals are excellent, and they are on top of their jobs. Management and maintenance are very service oriented and it’s the best experience I’ve ever had as a customer!! My apartment is roomy and comfortable. In addition, the community is conveniently located. I recommend this property to all of my friends. Thanks so much Hinkston Pond!
This place was such a treasure for me to discover and eventually a place to call home. It’s beautiful, with hardwood floors and spacious rooms. The management is very polite and accommodating. If I had some concerns, like leaking and such, they will fix it ASAP with no hesitation. It’s quiet and comfortable. I’m planning on staying here for a very long time because the people who run the place are reliable and very very friendly. The only complaint that I may have is that the person above me smokes in the bathroom and the smell and the ash somehow gets into my ventilation system and it makes the dust settle in the bathroom. Not really a big complaint but that’s it. Again, this place is an amazing place to live in.
I have been living here since this summer (2017). Pros: -Large unit for the price -New leasing office staff who really care. THEY ARE AMAZING!!! -Parking has improved since complaining about it to the NEW office staff! Cons: -GERMAN COCKROACHES!!!! -Poor work completed by the maintenance staff. Often needs to be redone. -Very old appliances on the brink of death. -Weed smoke in the building. -Dirty Hallways When I moved in I noticed that my apartment was not clean. Maintenance had left behind their materials under the bathroom sink, the window sills were black, cracks in the doors, items left behind in the kitchen drawers ,bugs in light fixtures, and bug traps on top of the kitchen cabinets. When I addressed the issues and had a second walk through with the maintenance office staff, she stated that my apartment will not be cleaned and that I needed to clean it myself. A few days later I started noticing these small brown bugs(one at a time). I killed a few and brought them to the office in a zip-lock bag for diagnosis by the maintenance staff. I spoke with the maintenance staff and they stated that they had NEVER seen them before. I did not believe them because I had truly never seen them before. I killed a few more (in the kitchen cabinets, drawers, stove, counter)and had them diagnosed by a licensed exterminator. He informed me that they are called German Cockroaches. They are the worst to kill because they lay eggs every 30 days. Maintenance came to spray but they came back. After my repeated conversations with Riverside Property Management, they sent a "licensed" exterminator to perform treatments to my unit and several surrounding units. Unfortunately after a 2 month hiatus, the bugs are back and I now have to request for the exterminator to come once a month. My door buzzer is also broken. Maintenance has come at least 5 times to "fix" it. Its becoming such a hassle and I am OVER IT. Not work the headache at this point. I do have 6 months left and I believe that the new office staff will turn things around but I will not be resigning. I encourage whoever is reading this to reconsider other options.
Hinkston Pond Apartments is an amazing place to live. The staff is wonderful and always available if needed. There is always parking available. There are a lot of places to go around in the area. I have lived at Hinkston for 7 years and have enjoyed it very much. The office staff has been very kind to me & the manager at the office has always been very kind. I do recommend Hinkston as a place to call home.
I would recommend Hinkston Pond to anyone looking for a quiet comfortable place to live. The manager is so friendly and helpful. It is nice to see a smiling face when you go to the office. Our apartment was very nice and had a big master bedroom. We had a new dishwasher and microwave when we moved in and everything was so clean. (I would still be there, but I bought a house.) Great location, wonderful apartment! I popped in last week for the Halloween Party.. Good to see all my old neighbors.
I have lived at Hinkston Pond for over 10 year the last 3 years I was ready to move out, up until the new management company came in and made a few changes about a year ago and improvements that were very much needed...I love my apartment and the area Hinkston Pond is located is great! Really good neighborhood!
I have lived at Hinkston Pond for 3 years & I have to say my first 2 years was really a nightmare this past August a new management company took over and boy have things changed. I am very content with all the improvements they have made on the property starting with the new carpet installed in the hallways and paint most units are remodeled. We actually have real maintenance now and I have to say the guy is a very hard worker and can get the job DONE! I love my landlord she really means business when it comes to enforcing the rules and has done a great job cleaning up the property from the drug dealers honestly I really thought this place was a lost cause until Riverside stepped in and since then it’s gotten better and better!!! I love my apartment I liked the area very much which is why I moved here in the first place. I guess you can say I am very happy with my place and wanted to share with all the people looking for a good place to stay I would recommend Hinkston Pond!
The worst place you could ever! Here is a list why: 1.Ceiling is always leaking and after weeks of trying to get maintenance out to fix it when they finally did they did a terrible job and just painted over the spot in a different color 2.Its infested with spiders and roaches 3.The office manager is not helpful at all and made a mistake on our rent and then wanted us to repay the rest within less than a weeks notice and if we did not we had to pay a fee 4.Cabinets are broken when before we moved in the promised to fix them 5.Maintenance never answers the phone even for emergencies 6.Office never answers the phone 7.Washers and dryer machines never work
