Highlands is a small suburban neighborhood in northern Lincoln. Highlands features manicured lawns, cul de sacs, and affordable to moderately priced rental options in a variety of styles from single-family homes to modern apartments. The neighborhood is best known for the Highlands Golf Course which dominates the western portion of the community. Several office buildings and warehouses are located in the southern tip of Highlands making it a good choice for residents who want their workplace to be close to home. Commuters also enjoy easy access to several major roadways including Interstate 80, Highway 34, and Highway 77. Lincoln Airport is located to the west of Highlands making out-of-state travel easy. Although there are a few casual restaurants and small shops in Highlands, most residents travel into Downtown Lincoln for shopping, dining, and entertainment since the city center is only five miles away.

Property Ratings at HiPark - FrontNine
A great place to call "home". The staff is very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The fitness center is amazing and the outdoor pool area is so beautiful and peaceful. I love living in such a nice location with beautiful views of the golf course, great restaurants to choose from and parks near by.
From the outside these look like nice modern apartments.......... and then you move in. First off the walls and ceilings are so thin with zero sound barriers that you can hear everything your neighbors are doing and i do mean absolutely everything. If you end up living in the pet building be prepared to listen to unruly dogs 24/7. Even when you bring it up to the manager nothing changes. The windows and sliding glass doors are so cheap that when the wind blows(which in Nebraska is 300 days a year) they flex 1/4 to 1/2 inch which makes the apartment expensive to heat and cool plus theres always a layer of dust no matter how often you clean. theres a gap around all the apartment doors so if you open the patio door theres a constant howling. Never ending construction adds to the noise and grime. There are far better apartments for a better price literally anywhere around these poorly built crap holes. The best kicker was are we spotlessly cleaned the apartment and had the ok from the manager we still got charged $130 "cleaning" fee. Unless you absolutely don't care where you live, I would suggest finding something better.

While some excess noise is to be expected in any community living environment, we can certainly understand your frustration and would encourage any resident to contact the front office if they believe a fellow resident is in violation of our policies. Additionally, if brought to our attention, we are quite confident that our capable maintenance team could have addressed many of the small issues you've mentioned related to your home. While it sounds like you no longer reside in the community and we are disappointed that we were unable to leave you satisfied, we sincerely wish you all the best in the future.
