Tucked in the northwest corner of Cook County, suburbs such as Hoffman Estates, Palatine, South Barrington and Schaumburg vary widely in personality and composition. Schaumburg, the largest in population, is home to Ikea and Woodfield Mall, the largest mall in the Chicago area. Palatine, developed on a wooded marshland, comes in at a close second in size. Nice unit, sub-par complex

Conveniently located to the I-90, grocery stores, and just about any other store you would ever need. The unit itself is clean and extremely spacious with a ton of storage space. I love the open dining space with the ceiling fan! Unfortunately, you would never expect this unit to be so nice from your initial tour. The "secure" door to the building does not lock or even shut! The hallway and stairwell have a sticky brown stain on the walls, and the carpets are covered in gross stains as well. Oh, and make sure to wear rain boots when you do laundry because there is water seeping up from underneath the carpet when you walk in. Though management is pleasant, they are hard to get in touch with unless in person and have let these maintenance issues go unfixed.
