Life in College Station pretty much revolves around Texas A&M University. The student body accounts for 60,000 people in a city of just over 100,000, and the university employs roughly 15% of the non-student population. The cultural impact of the university is tremendous, from the on-campus art, scholarly resources, and architecture to the thriving food, nightlife, and music scenes around town, and of course the exuberant Texas Aggies fandom.
Apartments and rental houses are available to suit every budget, from exceedingly affordable student rentals to more upscale homes. Parents will appreciate the vest selection of highly-rated public schools, and easy access to city parks gives everyone the opportunity to get out and enjoy the fresh air.

Property Ratings at Holleman Crossing Apartments
When I moved in I was confronted with an apartment that was not cleaned at all. I say this without exaggeration. This included old crumbs of food in the microwave that also had burn marks. It also included caked dust above every door, window, and on top of the cabinets and refrigerator. The real kicker was when I opened a drawer in the kitchen just to find the previous tenant's belongings still in it. One of the window screens was also covered in grease/oil with two grills left right outside the window. One of the employees had to call the owner of the cleaning service that they use, and she personally had to come and help my parents and I clean the place on the day of move in. This was appreciated, but should not have been necessary in the first place. Trash will pile up in the walkways, with many bags sometimes completely open or ripped open from the roaming racoons/cats. This obviously isn't a great sight or smell to wake up to in the morning. To move out they had the audacity to charge me for damages that the previous tenant caused. They wouldn't know the previous tenant caused them since they obviously didn't inspect the apartment whatsoever before my move in day. Their claim was that I had caused two dark spots on the wall. I responded and said that the previous tenant caused them. They literally assured me that the previous tenant did not cause the dark spots. Luckily enough, while I was documenting the disgusting apartment on move in day, I happened to capture one of the two dark spots that the assistant manager assured me was of my doing. What was their response? After being unable to provide a photo of the other stain since I didn't document every single square inch of the place, here it is word for word "Unfortunately I am unable to lower or remove the cost of the paint. The usual touch up paint cost is $50.00, but the paint stain on the wall by the head of the bed required multiple coats and more labor/time than usual.". So I proved that one of the two stains that they claimed was my doing, was actually not my doing, but the original charge for a total of two stains remained because their workers were inefficient in painting a small spot on a wall. They also charge something at moveout for a "carpet cleaning fee". My carpet, along with everything else in the apartment, sure wasn't clean when I moved in so I'm not sure where that fee is actually going.
They switched management my second year and its been awful ever since. They got rid of all the old staff and hired all college students. Nothing wrong with college students, but they had no experience! A total lack of communication. And to make it worse I receiced a bill for 600 upon move out! Appears to be common as i'm now seeing multiple people with the same issue. After scrubbing the place from top to bottom, I now owe 600. Makes no sense. Ignore the good reviews. If you look at the dates there all from when the old management was there. The new management raised rents aswells. Seems like there trying to increase there profit by ripping off Aggies.
While there, management was kind of helpful… not horrible. But when you move out… they will send you a bill for cleaning that is about 2 months rent. Paint, steam clean, replace couches, steam clean mattress, and more. If you do move here- photograph/date everything! Couch, chairs, floor, oven, fridge, toilet, shower head, faucets, walls, all furniture… the only way you may save on being charged.
The management is the worst ever. Definitely not going to renew my lease. It on average takes at least 3 months for any service request. My roof has been leaking for almost a year now and still nobody has come to fix it. Very poor communication with the manager (although front desk folks are very friendly and responsive).
Trying to contact this apartment complex was difficult and when I could finally contact them, their customer service was TERRIBLE. I told the woman about my problem and she just said one sentence not even answering the question. Additionally, she said it with quiet an attitude. If you cannot tell me who to contact for my issue or at least tell me the next step, I do not want to live here. I cannot even IMAGINE maintenance request. WILL NOT be going back.

I apologize for any attitude you may have received over the phone. Additionally, I apologize for you not receiving any help for your problem. I would love to help you personally with any problems and next steps for you. You can contact me personally at my email lsnyder@campusassetservices.com or call the office and ask for Leslie. Again, I am very sorry this happened to you and I will discuss this with my team so that we learn from this. -Leslie
This is a place that I definitely would not recommend to anyone due to the fact that Holleman Crossing cant get there systems together! Something always has to be out of wack, whether it be the online portal to see rent and payment info or a sudden (and rather HIGH) change of monthly payments and random credits being added to your account because they over billed you. The ONLY pluses are that it's pretty quiet most of the time and the vending machines they recently just added but long overdue.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody!! ONLY plus: It's a brand new place (Jan. 2017) and everything MUST work fine (if it doesn't, don't expect them to fix it any time soon). If you move in here, you'll get these issues for sure: - Super high random water fees (ranging from $54 to $80). - Apparently new residents pay electricity directly to management and get charged super high fees (I pay it through BTU). - Appliances are not high quality (as advertised by them), they are the cheapest kenmore model. Dryer always takes two cycles to dry a half full load (I do clean the lint filter). - If you read "Walk-In Closets" on their website. Well, take about 90% of that out. It's only about 2 feet deep, so it's just a regular closet. - Trash compactor room is always full of trash bags all over the place because apparently they never collect the trash. - Don't expect them to regularly clean the fitness center or replace wet wipes. - It took them 7 moths to get a propane tank for the BBQ grill (with constant requests from me). - They stopped offering things on tours because apparently they can't afford them any more (dog park, coffee machines, etc.) PS. If you read this and guess I'm not renewing my lease, you're right!

Thanks for leaving your feedback and we apologize that you are not completely satisfied. We did experience an incorrect billing issue months ago with our water utilities however that has been corrected and the water charges are correct through the utility company now. We were frustrated, too, and tried to get it corrected as quickly as possible. Electricity charges are direct charges from usage. There is no added fee to it. The appliances are high quality Kenmore appliances and are under warranty, so if you are having an issue, please contact us in the office so we can get it serviced. We would follow up with you however contact info is not provided with an anonymous review. Our fitness center is professionally cleaned bi-weekly and our porter cleans it daily. We have sanitizing wipes stocked in there daily and apologize if they ran out while you were in there. In the future, all you have to do it let us know and we will restock it if it is before the porter goes in to clean and restock. We also have a propane tank in the grill and the same goes for that, if it is ever out and is before we check levels, just let us know so we can get it changed out. Trash is picked up on a schedule and we try to make sure resident's don't leave trash bags in the room and actually put it in the compactor but we cannot catch everyone who doesn't follow the rules. If you see anybody doing that, let us know so that we can address it with them specifically. We haven't stopped offering anything on our tours and we're not sure you're referring to. Give us a call in the office at 979-703-8240 so we can follow up with you directly.
