Property Ratings at Hollister Apartments
99% of the time they don't answer the phone. They don't respond to messages in the resident portal or emails. You have to go to the office and get in their face for a response. I've lived here less than a month and I'm ready to leave. The have 2 parts to the property. My friend that recommended me lives at the other address and hasn't had the problems I have had. My advice, do not move to the 600 Deats address. They have a really bad ant and roach infestation. So bad I have ants crawling EVERYWHERE--in my toilet, in my car, all over the kitchen floor. I've contacted them multiple times and didn't get a response. I went to the office and was told by the district or regional manager that they are aware of the problem and are going to "come up with a plan". Haven't seen this plan in action. I'm at my wits end and ready to call the city because this is a public health problem. As bad as it is, there is no way this just started when I moved in. They should be fined heavily for letting their residents live in such conditions.
Unfortunately, I have lived here for almost three years. The new management is very bad and rude. On August 2nd, my neighbor above me poured foods into the kitchen sink and caused the water to fill my entire apartment. I requested a repair. Two days passed and there was no news. The management stated that they had not seen the emails and that the problem would be fixed the next day. But there was still no news. The next day, they spent about an hour repairing it, but they didn't get an answer because they didn't have the right equipment. They told me that they would come back an hour later. There was no news again. On Friday, the maintenance guy said that they would come with new equipment on Saturday, but they did not come again. This Sunday again, despite the fact that the water was supposed to be cut off in the upstairs kitchen, but it was not, the water filled my entire apartment again. I asked the workers to go and rent the proper equipment, but the answer was no. Today is a whole week that I spend among garbage and the smell of sewage in this ridiculous apartment with incompetent and inexperienced management. I complained many times about the smell of drugs used by the neighbors probably 100 times. Finally, the management's answer was that I can't do anything. If you want, inform the police yourself this time. If you don't like it, you can leave here. This whole complex has a manager and two employees. Don't get hurt for all these apartments full of problems. The only person who cares about the residents is Mr. Derek. I wish he was the director of this complex. From my point of view, if you are looking for a place to live, don't be fooled by the price and appearance of this complex.
I absolutely love living here! Since I have a puppy I absolutely love the fact that they have a dog park for her to run her entergy out. To enter the property you have to have an app which I love because its not a code just anyone can have. That same app gets you access to the laundry rooms and clubhouse. Everything is brand new and modern. Couldn't recommend a better place to call home! :)
Have lived in the Galveston county area most of my life and I can really say this places owners have really put in a lot of work with the renovations! Lived here for more than a year now and everything looks amazing. The office is great and quick to get maintenance out in a timely manner.
Love what they have done. the staff in the office are great.
Went to get a tour of this property and it was gorgeous. They have so many new things and the property looks like it’s brand new. Staff was very friendly and nice. 100% Recommend.
