This residential region will show you just why Greenville, one North Carolina’s fastest-growing cities, has become known as the Emerald City. Wide streets and gargantuan pine trees make a picturesque setting for the homes and apartments in this popular suburb. Southwest Greenville is also a retail hub for the entire city. 11 Galleria and the Greenville Mall have turned this tranquil locale into a shopping district, with plenty of grocery stores and big-box chains to check out.
This is a popular spot for families in Greenville. A large number of highly-rated schools serve the area, and they’re intertwined with a few moderately-sized Greenville parks like Guy Smith Park and Dream Park.
Southwest Greenville is bisected by US 13, making it the major thoroughfare into and out of the area.

Property Ratings at Holly Glen Apartments
This is a great apartment to live in. It is spacious, clean, and located in a beautiful quite area. You do not have to pay for internet nor water. It is a place where you can take a walk anytime day or night. The apartments are kept up and the lawn is kept up clean and professional. You are close to doctors' offices, grocery store and the hospital. The property manager name is Stephen, and he is a great manager. He stays on tops of his apartments and make sure everything know his residents. He is understanding and easy to talk to. If I were to go back to Greenville to live again, I would go back living in Holly Glen Apartments.
I’ve been living at Holly Glen since 2019. Originally I was in a 2 bedroom and it was perfect. Stephen the leasing manager made the move super easy when I had to transition to a 1 bedroom in 2021. The apartments are about 5 minutes away from ECU health depending on traffic and even though we’re close to the hospital you hardly ever hear any noise, it’s surprisingly quiet back here. The layout and square footage of the 1 bedroom is perfect, and every unit comes with a washer/dryer and they include all utilities except for lights which are also fairly cheap compared to other places. Only down side is the rent going up but that’s happening everywhere. This place is still affordable and worth every penny.
This property is close to the hospital, and it’s cheap. So it goes without saying you get what you pay for. I’ve been here for approx 2 years and I’ve had plenty of regular minor problems but the AC has gone out 5+ times for 12+ or 48+ hours before maintenance arrives. The carpet has also been mysteriously wet when I got home and the property manager claims it’s some water pump connected to the AC that’s also been “fixed” 2-3 times. Ehh idk it’s cheap. You get what you pay for.
Hollyglen is a quiet professional community so if you are a serious student or professional this is the place for you! there is no clubhouse there is no gym there is no swimming pool but what there is, are spacious apartments very well maintained, prompt repairs, a very special leasing agent named Stephen, a good sized patio and peace and quiet. I love living here!
I have been living here for past 3 years. NEVER had any complains of issue. Very close to ECU and Vidant Medical Center. Clean and quite community. Stephen is really nice, approachable and prompt.
Holly glen has been an amazing place to live. I'm currently a PA student so I wanted an apartment that was close to the health sciences campus and not too rowdy. It's mainly professionals living here and it's about 4-5 minutes to Vidant/HS campus depending on traffic. It has been so quiet, peaceful, and the 1 bedrooms are really spacious and well layed out. You get vaulted ceilings if you're on the second floor and a spacious patio/balcony. Also, any repair I've ever needed has been fixed in 24-48 hours which is unusual and amazing! Very responsive to maintenance calls and Steve is an amazing manager. Can't say enough good things about this place.
Holly Glen is a nice quiet neighborhood near the medical complex. Any repairs have been made within 24-48 hours. Grounds are kept mowed and trimmed at all times. Utilities are reasonable.
