Twenty-five miles northeast of Baltimore, Aberdeen is a small city positioned between Interstate 95 and the northern reaches of Chesapeake Bay. The city is known regionally as the hometown of legendary pro baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr.; Ripken himself owns a sports complex on the northwest side of town, which includes community athletic facilities and the home stadium for the Baltimore Orioles-affiliated Aberdeen IronBirds.
The nearby Aberdeen Proving Ground is a major Army testing facility, and many of the 5,000 military personnel and 7,500 civilian employees who work there live in and around the city of Aberdeen.

Property Ratings at Holly Oaks
We have the worst experience here. We were one of the first tenants to move in the complex it was shiny and new. Layout is nice but things were built very cheaply, paint peels if you touch it let alone try to wipe a spill. There is no rental office on site they packed up and moved once the units were done. There is only an app to pay rent which is convenient when it works but if something goes wrong and you pay your rent literally 45 minutes late and it's time stamped not making it up. I was charged $115. No one was willing to help just kept telling me it's due on the 1st. If you need handicapped parking good luck they have spaces but it's not enforced and neighbors are inconsiderate and park in the spaces because they know there is no enforcement. In fairness there is new management the property was sold a few months ago hasn't even been a year so maybe they will be better but very disappointing experience and wouldn't want anyone else to find out the hard way like we did. Now have to find another place to live and move again. Was hoping to call this home. Very sad.
