With its spectacular mountain views and numerous palm trees, Chino is a favorite city in San Bernardino County for good reason. The city is adjacent to Chino Hills State Park, a popular area in the Santa Ana Mountains foothills for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Chino is also home to Prado Regional Park, a popular park with a fishing lake, hiking and biking trails, campgrounds, a disc golf course, picnic areas, horseback riding, and a shooting range where shooting events were held during the 1984 Summer Olympics.
As a key city of the Inland Empire, Chino has a long history as a hub for agriculture, especially dairy farming. The city's slogan reflects its agricultural roots: Where Everything Grows. While it is much more suburban today, the city still retains some of its rural feel. The city is award-winning and is often used as a filming location. Downtown Chino hosts a variety of events, including a weekly farmers market.

Property Ratings at Homecoming at The Preserve
I’ve lived here for 4 years. This is the 4th time I’ve had a mice infestation. I am VERY clean, all of my food in the pantry is kept in sealed boxes but every fall I get mice. THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

The amenities are amazing! The community events are awesome for people with children with Santa visiting for Christmas, the Easter bunny, Easter egg hunts, periodic food trucks, block parties, pre-pandemic they had parties at the clubhouse with dancing and food and even used to have after school programs for the kids after school. I’ve had an awesome experience so far and I have no complaints. I’ve lived here for almost 3 years now. Nice place to call home!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Please call us at any time if you had concerns or questions about our property. Sincerely, Mari Nilsson Bailey - General Manager.
It's all pretty at the beginning, just wait until you leave. They are crooks at the highest level. I had a professional painter take care of everything and THEY STILL CHARGED ME $3000. So don't think for a second that "small" deposit in the beginning is simply going to be just that. That's aside the fact I paid them for an EXTRA MONTH just because their own staff gave me the wrong information purposely so they can pocked another month's worth of rent. On top of that we didn't have access to ANY of the amenities because of COVID, did they reduce rent? Of course not. Yet that's all the show you in the tour. RUN IF YOU CAN - Those who have ears let them hear! I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD, THEY ARE COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR RESIDENTS.

Hello, thank you for your residency. If you haven't reached out to our office regarding your statement, please call us at (909)606-0681. We welcome an opportunity to review the move out pictures and/or charges with you. We also recognize the frustration about the restricted access to the Clubhouse due to COVID-19. I hope that you were able to use the outdoor amenities such as pools, spas, tennis court, basket ball court, barbecues, etc. and take part of the virtual resident events that have been hosted since the start of the pandemic. We are looking forward to the day the crisis will come to an end so that we can fully re-open our Clubhouse to the general public. We are looking forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Team Homecoming at the Preserve
I’ve been here for about 5 months and because of COVID, I’ve spent a lot of time home and walking around the community. The entire complex is very very clean. The dumpsters can get a little crazy during the holidays due to trash pick up coming later and the amount of boxes from so many deliveries. It’s fairly quiet even though there are lots of kids ago and everyone seems to be very nice. The management/maintenance staff is always very helpful and prompt in getting back to you with your questions or concerns.

We moved in this past March and LOVE living here. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Maintenance, specially Cody, does a great job in taking care of any issues that may come up. The grounds are constantly being kept up with lots of attention focused on landscaping. What more can you ask for? Having downsized from a big house sitting on an acre of land constantly needing upkeep, this is a perfect setup. Now I know how it feels living at a resort!

I’m aware that not everyone has the same experience based on expectations, but I’d like to let everyone know that I truly LOVE living here. I renewed my lease for two more years because of how wonderful it is. The pros are: garages, in-unit laundry facilities, gated access, spacious apartments, attentive maintenance crew, and beautiful landscaping. There are dumpsters and recycling locations all through the complex so nobody is having to walk far to take out the trash. Their parcel storage facilities are a wonderful alternative to having packages sitting on your porch all day. Rent is super reasonable. The cons...only one. Parking is HORRIBLE. I have crippling parking anxiety and if I didn’t have a guaranteed parking spot (my garage), I probably wouldn’t live here. I don’t know how to solve the parking problem and I don’t blame management for it. It’s just the nature of a ton of people wanting to live in a wonderful apartment complex. All in all, this is a truly wonderful place to live.
Rent is cheaper than most places, the community is nice however there is major theft, every night cars and garages are broken into. Staff is very rude and do not care your personal property. there are better communities out there that will value your safety.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide excellent customer service to previous and current residents. We would be more than happy to speak with you regarding any concerns you may have. At your convenience, please reach out to the leasing office should you wish to discuss.Thank you
But this place is great we love the surroundings here our place is spacious! It definitely feels like home!
Awesome people, awesome site, awesome units, awful parking availability. unless the parking situation gets fixed with people parking in there when they shouldnt, taking up the space and making it inconvenient for actual residents then as good as it is it wont be good enough.
We had a beautiful, brand new 2 bedroom 2 bathroom with a one car garage and walk in laundry room. Everything was just big and spacious. We never had issues with parking, theft, or the apartment in general. The only downside is that you’re in the middle of no where without fun things to do within close proximity. Otherwise, I was very sad when we had to leave, truly loved living here.
I just move out, my wife and I spent 4 hours to clean and paint,Make the place just like we moved in one year ago. The staff did the pre move out inspection, and told us the condition is very great and thanks us for taking care of it very well! And he said we will not be charged a lot, just the basic cleaning fee. We are very happy and move to the new place to expecting some of the deposit back. However! We got the bill today, they charge the replacement fee for laminate floor ,it is $790!!!! which they never ever mentioned at all!!! I just curious why they did not tell us when doing the pre move out inspections???? And we don't think it is necessary to change the floor for just one year living, and we clean it and taking care of it as our own property. But they wanna charge additional $650 after they keep our $600 deposit!!! it is really doesn't make any sense! !! I strongly recommend anyone who wanna move in this community, please think about it carefully, you will be charged a lot when you move out!!! Much much more than you can imagine!!!
I love the Homecoming at the Preserve Apartments because it is like living at a resort. All the conveniences of being at a resort is here at Homecoming. From exercising to getting my nails done are only a few steps away from my home. The management as well as the maintenance staff are wonderful! It's been a great experience so far!
overall good but too much construction Need more attention to current residents
I love all the ammenities I've been afforded accept the shooting that happened on my side of the complex that happened and the fact that when I was out of town and tried to call for my rent total owed with utilities no one made more on my account that there was NO answer and a late notice and eviction notice placed when I called twice. I travel a lot and wanted an address and payment value to pay. I was never told of the shooting and I have trouble getting pay to info to mail rent. Please help! Thank you Jenifer
This is a great community to live in. Very safe, gated community. Security patrols are done in the evening (I get home around midnight from work and see them driving around). Lots of really fun activities are planned every month. Overall, the office staff are great (especially Bri!). Rent is comparable to other places in the area, but we have gated community and way more activities. Love the landscaping. Maintenance are slightly slow, but get the job done and do a good job. Not very close to many restaurants or shopping. Love having attached garages and private patio/balcony.
This is our first apartment experience in 30 years -- we were nervous about community living again after owning our own home. But, the Homecoming in Chino has been wonderful! Our condo unit is beautifully appointed, well-kept and sound-proof. The community areas are always clean and welcoming. You don't feel crowded at all. The parking has not been a problem for us ever - but we do have a two-car garage. We have had up to three or four cars on the same day and have not yet had a problem. Everyone is friendly and service, when we have needed it, is prompt.
What an awesome place to live! The owners/management go above and beyond. Excellence in customer service and attitude is refreshing! I love my apartment! The little touches in the apartment, the landscaping outside, and club and pool amenities are fantastic! There's a reason why there's a waiting list here. :)
I've been living here for about a year and I love it. It's a quiet place and the park house is amazing. Its has two pools and a children pool on the side for the little ones. The gym is a state of the art and comes with a tennis court. The apartment is perfect for me and my wife. It come with a one car garage attach to the apartment and there's a place where you can wash you vehicle. The only bad part about this place is parking, not enough parking spaces. First come first serve for parking space. But over all great place to live.
We moved in to the newly built Homecoming at the Preserves in Chino, excited to our new resort living lifestyle. The amenities are great. We are happy with the 4 bedroom townhome except for a one time visit by an unwanted visitor (mice in our pantry). But we are friendly people and we love entertaining friends. The parking situtation made it impossible to have guess over. Worst, we feel taken advantage by the company's not so helpful attitude with parking situation. We have an 18 month lease and we are now looking for a new place to call home.
I love living at this apartment nice and safe, all our family likes coming over to visit and expend time with us ,our grand kids love going to the pool and the gym, we also like to barbecue a lot
My experience at the Homecoming Preserve in Chino Ca has been comfortable but also very frustrating. The complex is beautiful and the amenities are nice. I love the friendly community vibe and the cleanliness of the property. The staff is nice but have proven to not be very competent at times (I have had billing issues for months now) and as of August 2015 Homecoming now uses electronic billing. Hopefully that cleans up a lot of the billing problems and we can move on from all of our troubles. The whole time I have lived here I have found it hard to fathom that a multi million dollar company like Lewis Operating Corp would still process all payments via check or money order. Parking is a nightmare because the staff never enforce the rules. Many of the people with garages use the garage as a storage unit. Many people use parking passes that have long been expired. If you get home after 7PM, you will never find parking within the gates of the community, hopefully you'll find legal parking outside the gates, chances are you'll have to park illegally somewhere in or around the community. Also, never move your car on a Saturday or Sunday or you'll end up having to park in front of a fire hydrant. Overall, I'd rate this place a C. I will not be renewing my lease, the price has not been worth the headache. I expected a much better experience when I decide to live at the Homecoming Preserve.
We absolutely love it here in the preserve! The staff is amazing and they have fun stuff for the family on a monthly basis. A common complaint from neighbors is the smell from the surrounding dairies, but you pass like 7 dairies on your way here so you know what you are getting. Mooooove here! You won't regret it!
This place is great. 3 pools, 24 hour gym, but parking is a pain. It's manageable but needs fixing.
State of the arch living, you never have to leave your home... just to buy groceries and come back n relax like your at an Oasis spa retreat. From granite counter tops, and all black appliances, to large washer/ dryer sets . Living here at the Preserve has become a stress free life!
In this area known for being the center of agriculture and dairy farming, Homecoming at the Preserve makes reaping the benefits of wide-open spaces, vast views, affordable housing and new infrastructure, easy. This apartment community is in San Bernardino County, a prime location with convenient proximity to the Los Angeles and Orange Counties and the Pacific Ocean. This master-planned community has left little to want. The inspired-design floor plans meet my family's need to have comfortable, individual private space as well as inviting, core family area. The abundant options and generous great room, large private garages, full-size personal laundry/utility room and modern appointments with ample convenient storage gives the apartment beauty and a single-family residence feel. While the personal interiors have the feel of detached private residences, I soon remember that resort-style living is offered here when I visit the clubhouse and make use of the concierge-style services including participating in community-planned activities, using the movie theater, working in the office, using the gym and library or grabbing a morning coffee. My children are super grateful to have access to the children's library, meeting other children having fun here and swimming the huge, clean pools. I'm excited to have all these things available for my family and not have to personally maintain them. I'm frequently amazed that the gym, movie theater and other entertainment areas are so accessible and feel as though I frequent the amenities alone. One of the best public schools in the area help compliment the luxurious living experienced at Homecoming at the Preserve. The Cal Aero Preserve Academy is an engaging and motivating center that is focused on a whole learning experience. I look forward to my children utilizing homework help at the Homecoming at the Preserve Kid's Club. When repairs are needed and attention in the unit is required, customer service is excellent. Requests for service are made simple through an easily accessible Internet interface. Grounds are always immaculate. Arriving downtown LA for work is a breeze by getting to the local park and ride and letting the Foothill Transit take over. My family and I visit all-inclusive resorts across the world. Living here and coming home reminds me of going on vacation.
Amenities are good. Parking is so awful and never enforced, and they allow people to use their garages as storage. They say they don't.. But I see it all around the community. And people without parking pass never get towed, just lots of warnings.. So why even have parking passes. My neighbor uses old parking passes and gets away with it! April passes in July!
The view is beautiful, our home is very comfortable, great neighborhood for families with young children! So many activities for all ages; very enjoyable. A couple down falls; parking and upkeep of property. I believe the property should uphold to the name, reputation and price tag. I think more guest parking should be provided due to the high volume of tenants. People love to entertain, especially living where we live but there's never enough parking for at least every house to have one guest. Also, I think the restrooms in the clubhouse and pool can be cleaned more often, as well as the floors in the gym. Other than those two things, such a great location, great activities, friendly neighbors and the pools are amazing!
The amenities and the friendliness of the staff is remarkable. I love the resort style living. The weekly actives are awesome.
We have lived in homecoming at the preserve for almost a year now and have very little to complain about. Our apartment is spacious with nice floors and finishes, it was really easy to make it home. The amenities are VERY nice: tennis court, three pools, gym, garden, grills throughout the neighborhood you can use, plus a bunch of other stuff that I'll probably never use....but its nice to know I can if I want to. The rent is pricey but it seems to me to be worth it given the amount of amenities and the quality of everything...somehow you don't seem to get a whiff of the Chino smell until you are outside the gates....but maybe that's because of where my apartment is. I also love that they allow large dogs. Few apartments do these days (my husband is of the opinion that a dog under 15 lbs is hardly a dog). Our dog is 30 lbs and tends to be just over the limit for most apartments... Which is silly...he's not big. But this place is dog friendly. Poo clean up stations everywhere ....a dog park ( turf) with a wash station....its really nice! Few downsides: Parking is terrible- it is first come first serve parallel parking spaces for those without garages and guests....which means there are almost never enough spaces. Guests are supposed to have a parking pass whenever they come which is a pain...as is trying to find a parking spot...I have never seen anyone get towed....but I'm always nervous about it happening because they made it sound like they are very strict on the parking policies... They should really either ease up on rules (which I know...I know...are there for a reason) or figure out how to get more parking...or both. We sprung for a double garage so we don't have to worry though Our freezer is teensy: good news is all appliances are included...bad news is (at least in my unit) the freezer is extremely narrow and you can't fit much in it. We have also given up trying to used the crushed ice because it gets stuck in the dispenser Arbitrary location of package pickup- sometimes FedEx and UPS will drop packages at your door...sometimes its at the office and I can't seem to find rhyme or reason as to when/why which will occur. All in all I would highly recommend Homecome at the Preserve. There are just a few tiny things (as I explained) that could be better...but other than that I love it here
Homecoming at the Preserve in Chino, CA is the best apartment complex I have lived in so far. The amenities are unparalleled, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the apartments themselves are well appointed and built with quality. The pool area looks like a mini resort, the gym is excellent and open 24 hours, and there's ping pong tables and a tennis court. It's a very pet friendly complex as well. There's also a ton of BBQ's scattered around the complex so no worrries if you don't own one. My only complaints would be the rent can be a little high but it makes sense when you consider all you're getting and how nice everything is. Also, the parking situation can be annoying. I have an attached two car garage so my and my wife's parking isn't an issue but if you have guests it's a hassle for them to find a spot. Additional parking is extremely limited.
Homecoming is great, it's like living in a resort. However, it has its down sides as well. Pros: New complex Appliances included Great amenities Friendly staff Cons: Too expensive for the area If you don't have a two car garage, parking is awful. If you come home after 6 you're parking outside the gate. Not freeway friendly.... Especially for the price you pay.
These apartments are set up like homes with top quality installations such as Quartz counter tops. All features of the home add to the luxurious features. The neighborhood is quiet but close to major freeways (15, 91, and 71). Golf course, shooting range, and archery range are only a few minutes locally for entertainment. Albertsons, Starbucks and a few fast food chains are a few minutes away as well. The office staff are extremely friendly and there is also a night time security. The complex is gated as well for extra safety (but the neighborhood is already extremely safe!). Overall an amazing place to live.
I have lived in this resort style living community for over a year. I love all the amenities they have to offer. We have a community garden, tennis court, dogpark, car wash, 3 pools , 2jacuzzis, theatre, library, gym and more! What nore can you ask for really. The staff is very helpful and kind. The only thing I would say the downside of living here is PARKING. They do not have enoughparking at all. And if you have friends and or family over you must print out a permit and put it on the dash or they will get ticketed. You will also get towed if you park in the community gates and not have a resident permit. It is insane that they offer so much but totally missed the mark on parking. They are planning to make more homes here but not more parking. I know alot of my neighbors have moved away just because of this. I hope they address this parking situation soon. Then they can be a perfect place to live!
Love the area...amenities, floor plan and community. Great space with lush landscaping. Lots of activites and amazing amenities. You feel like you are part of a housing community and not an apartment building.
Your neighbor is a big fat cow!!!! Let me explain this now U live right across a dairy I know that may sound scary Its Chino tradition my friends Long before there was apartments But my oh my how u forget When u step into this Lewis Homes complex 24 hour gym so u can work out when u can Or when u feel guilty about eating that whole box of chocolate mints!! A pool to relax in and forget your horrible boss A dog park for u and your best friend to play a game of toss Came here with a plan to stay only 1 year But dont think i might find anywhere near That makes me feel safe Oh!!! And my gosh! ! Did i forget to mention They have a free car wash!!!!
In between major freeways of 91, 15 and 71 but super peaceful!
This place is like being in a resort in Las Vegas. The cabanas, pools, state of the art gym, theater room, and all the extras make it so you don't have to go anywhere on your days off but the grocery store (and I think they're secretly working on that). I met my nail professional at the on-site nail salon also. No more driving to Gardena on my days off. It's always quiet and the grounds are excellently maintained. All units are brand new so you get to actually make it your home. The staff takes care of your every need and if they don't know the answer to something, it's quickly looked into and they call you back. Unless you have a need to mow the lawn and pull weeds from the yard, Homecoming Chino is the place to call home. There's floor plans to fit every need!
This is the one place I have lived where all the staff treat you like you are a guess at a resort. You are always right they never argue with you they just come up with a solution and follow thru till until the problem is resolved.
To call these "luxury apartments " may sound pretentious, but the truth never is. Between the Spas, olympic sized salt water pools, tennis court, theater, office space, conference room, show kitchen, banquet room, craft room, game room, library, reading room, nail salon, massage room and beautifully maintained grounds...you may fool yourself into thinking you are on vacation!
I'll start off with the negatives; Poor parking space although they are expanding. Sharing the clubhouse with others is fine unless there are young kids unsupervised which can ruin the enjoyment of certain activities. The rest however is very positive. I feel like with the private movie theater, gaming room, community kitchen, 24hr business center, and kid's playroom- My family and I are finally able to spend time together again. I am a fulltime student, all I have to do is take my kids to the clubhouse playroom, park myself on my laptop with free clubhouse wifi, and work away. This productivity leaves much more time with my family and tons of stuff to do!!! Our unit is very spacious. Check it out!
The Homecoming at the Preserve is a wonderful place to raise a family. They have a wide variety of apartments ranging from 1 bedroom all the way up to 4 bedrooms and the property is still expanding, so everything is new and clean. Only two minor things stop me from giving our amazing complex 5 stars: Parking is an adventure when we have guests because most every space is taken by residents, even though every apartment comes with at least a 1 car garage. The other issue is there's a lack of follow through with making sure residents are abiding by the rules of the community. Plenty of residents have parked their cars without permits and management doesn't follow through with the towing warnings they've issued, making parking a real annoyance. Overall, we've thoroughly enjoyed living in our beautiful apartment. It's the only apartment that's actually felt like a home. We plan to stay until we purchase our first home.
Homecoming at the preserve definitely is a LUXURY apartment. Beautiful community, nail salon, massage parlor, great pool and barbecue areas. Seriously has everything you could think of. And the apartments/condos are beautiful inside. Only downfall is the parking. If you get home past 5pm parking can he hard to find if you use the street parking but they do have visitor parking that always has spots you just have to walk. Other than that I have zero complaints.
The apartment is just divine. Once i saw the unit, i never looked anywhere else. Quiet and relaxing ambiance is what i get everytime. Makes me excited to come home from work everyday.
The Homecoming at the Preserves is more an exotic getaway then an apartment complex. 24 hr fitness room, pool area that looks like a Fiji Hotel. When I am out walking with my family I don't feel like I am in a apartment complex I feel like I am on vacation in a quaint neighborhood. Fun, family friendly enviroment. Come live in your vacation home.
