Perfect area and setting. I can walk to the grocery store that is 2 minutes away, run in the area on the streets and it's very safe, without having to cross many intersections. Property is full of trees and they keep up well with the landscaping. Apartment is clean and all I need. Only minor thing I would love added is a washer/dryer unit in the apartment but it's ok I have to go to the basement to laundry, not that big of a deal. Andretti is wonderful to work with and looks after my apartment and car when I travel for work. Keeps an eye on everything for me. Work orders are met with promptness and politeness. Love living here!

I saw a single bedroom apartement on their website and applied online. They contacted me saying my lease is approved and they are going to charge $500 as a security deposit. Even though I did not see the apartement, I agreed and I deposited the security fee. Once I sent them the money, they sent me the lease agreement and when I check the monthly payment, guess what, it is more by solid $345 on each monthly payment, saying it is the wrong rent they used on the website. I checked on several websites, including theirs and it was the same. When I want to cancel they said the processing time to get my money back is 45 days. The lady who talked to me was very rude.

I have been living at Homestead Apartments for one year now, and I am very happy that I found this place. I was looking to find something quickly, and Michelle from the office was very professional, welcoming and helpful in answering all of my questions and setting up the lease. The other administrative staff were very nice as well. I moved into a newly renovated apartment and I am very happy with it. The entire property is very nice and well-kept, and it is a child-friendly place to live for my four-year-old daughter. The location is very convenient. Management has been very responsive to maintenance requests, and the maintenance staff have been helpful and in some cases have been working here for a very long time. I think the rent price is fair for the amenities provided. Overall, I have no reservations in recommending Homestead Apartments.

Moved in a month ago and the apartment was definitely move-in ready and very clean. I picked the 2 bedroom floor plan and it is very spacious, which is great because me and my wife are expecting our little boy soon. Michelle was very helpful with the entire move-in process. Place is always quiet and the community is very welcoming and professional. On the 2nd floor, the living room can get a little warm, but the a/c units are low cost to operate. I recommend a tower fan to circulate the cold air as it’s not central air. I like that we have our own storage unit, a detached garage, a laundry room on site, 2 parks, and located right by downtown Lagrange is convenient. Parking is probably the only inconvenience if you have guests over on weekend nights, but the strict policy ensures that tenants including myself have a spot everyday. Policies incorporated are fair and suitable for all tenants which I appreciate. Overall, a great experience and I look forward to the next chapter of my life here at homestead.

I have lived in the Homestead community for 10+ years (moved from a 1-bedroom with dining room to a 2-bed a little over 9 years). The interior and exterior are well maintained. The maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful as well as the office staff. When you call with any problems they are addressed within hours of the call. The office staff makes you feel like family when you call or stop by. I love the monthly newsletters, with the wealth of information they provide. They try to engage the residents with different activities throughout the year. The upgrades to the apts were small changes but made a great difference to me. The new laundry area with the industrial size washers/dryers is awesome and the room provides comfort while you wait with a seating area to include a tv with cable. If you are looking for apt living with a community feel come and check out the Homestead Apts.
My husband and I have been living at Homestead Apartments just shy of a year. We have always been met with very professional, courteous and capable office/maintenance staff whenever any issues have arisen which have been few. The interior of our apartment (2×2) is lovely! The kitchen leaves a little to be desired in regards to counter space but we love the layout of our particular floorplan. We also love the location! The apartments are tucked away from the busy streets and surrounded by beautiful trees and grassy, well kept courtyards. However, the Metra and a host of little restaraunts and shops are only a short 10 minute walk. The walls are fairly thin and we have experienced hearing conversations between our neighbors while in our bedroom or the playing of music from tenants around us. There is no central AC so unfortunately in the summer when running the window units, the livingroom can feel like its freezing while the bedroom feels like a sauna. We have had a few water main breaks and have temporarily gone without water. Those are really the only downsides in my opinion. Issues happen no matter where you live, am I right? Homestead is kept very clean, the landscaping is beautiful and I remain impressed by how professional and helpful the staff have been this past year. We love it here!
I just moved in and so far so good. Everything looks very clean and kept up well. The office staff has been very professional and friendly. Nicole, specifically, has been extremely helpful guiding me through the rental process and answering all of my many, many questions. I'm looking forward to living here.

You'll want to keep your place tidy, they enjoy entering at every opportunity. They enter a lot. Often with little or no notice. Apartments run hot in the summer and the A/C unit they provide only cools, maybe, half the apartment and definitely not the bedrooms.
I'll be moving out of the Homestead Apt's soon, but not due to any prob with them! Their Management/ Maintenance Staff know their stuff!!!! I'LL BE MOVING CLOSER TO FAMILY, BUT WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND THEM!
I had been living the Homestead Apartment for one year, the location is very convenience to the la Grange downtown, but it is too close to the train rail, it always wakes me up in the mid night, and also there are bugs in the kitchen and the living room, everywhere. they didn't collect the trash daily, so the smell is really bad in the stairs especially in summer, which also attract a lot of flies. you can easily find a better apartment in North riverside or oak park.
OK, So I ready the last review and thought this Eric either lives on a different Homestead or probably works way too many hours and just comes home to sleep! if you are renting this place just to spend the nigh then yea ...expensive deal but whatever ....if you are renting a home you may consider ... 1- NO PARKING, try to come home around 7 pm and you will be moving in circles ...no parking any where, no parking allowed on the street , your options are either you get a garage for extra $60 a month ( if you find one) or sell your car! seriously ! 2- Management office, call them and ask for ANDREA,, if she still there run for your life, if you don't you can always come back and read this review and cry! 3- no sense of community of whatsoever 4- NO AMENTITIES , seriously nothing, even their small play area is old and outdated, no seating around the premises , no pool , no community room , NOTHING! 5- Rent rapidly increase every year , if you are planning for one year lease then ok , if you are looking for long term , you will end up paying what you can pay for a 3 bedroom house ! 6-should you need to go month to month for any reason, BE aware, although legally you can , ANDREA does not like it, and if the other girls do not like you, get ready to rent a hotel ! 7- Laundry is $1.75 per load and $1.25 per dryer, one washer and one dryer for over 12 unites !!! 8- Mold , mold EVERYWHERE The list is long and I have no time , so here are your choices , you can read this review and look somewhere else , or you can try it yourself and you will be writing your own review within a year !!! GOOD LUCK
I have just moved out today after six years. Although I am am excited about living in my new home, which I purchased last month, I am a little sad at leaving this community. It has been a delightful experience living at Homestead, the people running the complex are so easy to deal with and nothing is ever a too much of a problem. The units are well maintained and the setting is very enjoyable, surrounded by lots of grass and trees. It takes only 10 to 15 minutes to walk into nearby Lagrange from where you can take the Metra to downtown Chicago. If you are looking to rent in a decent neighbourhood, I would highly recommend Homestead Apartments .
