The quiet, residential Starlite neighborhood in southeastern Green Bay nestles up against the East River on its western border and lies just south of the busy East Mason Street. Within those boundaries, the tiny community — about a single square mile — enjoys no-frills, family-oriented living in an array of mid-century, suburban-style houses.
Starlite lies just five miles east of the historic Lambeau Field. In fact, most would say that the town and the neighborhood are defined by a shared love of the NFL's Green Bay Packers.
East Town Mall provides plenty of shopping and dining options close to home, in addition to the many commercial offerings clustered near U.S. Route 141. Just north, the heart of the city and the shores of Green Bay offer entertainment, recreation, and even a touch of wilderness. To the east, the landscape quickly changes as the city falls away in favor of rural roads and open vistas.

Property Ratings at Hometown Apartments
Our time at the Hometown apartments has been wonderful. The rent is very reasonable, the neighbors are quiet, and it's within reach of many businesses. However, I was most impressed with the staff and management. Whenever there was any sort of issue or question all I had to do was email or text the landlord and a response was given typically within a few hours. One Sunday I emailed about a maintenance issue that I eventually wanted fixed (I was in no hurry) and she had sent someone over to our apartment within 3 hours of me sending the email. Any maintenance issues were fixed extremely promptly. We couldn't have been more pleased with our time at the Hometown apartments. So much storage space as well!
Ended up choosing these apartments because I needed to move fast for a job, but it ended up being a great choice. My one bedroom is plenty spacious with a large front closet that houses my seasonal decor, luggage, and other large items. The bedroom has a regular 6 foot closet and a large walk-in, which houses all of my clothes and one dresser. The kitchen could use more storage space, but it's large enough for my dining room table & chairs. There's no management on site, but Nicole is great to work with & has matters attended to quickly. When I moved in, the panel for my heat didn't work, and she got it fixed that night. Sound from neighbors is rare, and then it's just footsteps (from the upstairs unit).
I have lived in my apartment for 3 years now and really like it. Rent is affordable and the apartment is welcoming. Landlord is very helpful with anything you need. Maintenance comes out in a timely fashion which is great. Apartment is not fully updated but they have updated some things. I would recommend living here to anyone looking for a reasonably nice apartment to call home.
I have lived in my apartment for over 23 years. The property is kept up to date and clean. I feel safe and secure in my apartment. If I need help or something is not working service is done quickly. I think people don't see apartments as a home but on this property you live where people care. Obliviously living here this long it's a great place to live and feels like home. This is a property to consider as your home.
I have lived in many different apartments in Green Bay but my current residence has proven to be much different. The management has been very nice since day 1 and after a year of renting I have had only possitive feedback to report. The location could not be much better for the east side of Green Bay. Anything you need for your every day life is within a couple blocks of the complex. For anyone looking to rent an apartment on the east side of Green Bay I would recommend giving Hometown Apartments a call to see if there are any available units.
I really enjoy living where I'm at because, I fell save, nobody bother me. all the people that live in my apartment unit are very nice to each other. I don't have any problems with anyone. I hope to live here until the good lord takes me. thanks alo
Great place to live! The price is very reasonable. The apartment is decent size and very functional the way it's set up. Location is perfect for living on the East side of GB and right across from a kwik trip was a plus. The maintenance was always there within 24 hours emailing, only a couple of times we needed them for minor fixes. Management is super nice and always received a fast response when we emailed/called. Overall extremely pleased with our apartment. Only leaving due to job relocation.
I've lived here for almost 6 years and love it. Location is super convenient with lots nearby. The few times I've had to contact the office their response and service was very fast. Tons of closet space and rent is very reasonable for what you get. I've been surprised a number of times with what friends are paying for much smaller units elsewhere in GB. I would definitely recommend Hometown Apartments.
Great place to live, staff and maintenance are very kind and quick to reply. Apartments are very spacious with lots of closet space. Close to shopping and main roads. I would recommend these apartments to anyone who is looking for nice neighbors and kind staff.
Great location, great neighbors, and better yet - a great apartment staff to see after your needs. I'd recommend this as an awesome, wonderfully priced apartment for anyone! As a single woman, I find it to be a very safe place and neighborhood.
The Hometown apartment complex on Abrams St is a great place to live. Quiet place. Tenants are nice. Well kept up, and when something is wrong in the apartment it gets taking care of right away. Very clean. Apartments are nicely laid out and has a open concept with in the apartment. They are handicap accessibly, and all laundry washers and dryers are on the lower level easy to get at. Snow removal and side walks always cleaned and well salted after a snow fall. Lawn care is kept up.
We lived here for 3 years in a 2 bedroom unit (2009-2012). We loved the location of these apartments on the East Side. It was located perfectly between both or jobs. It was probably one of the better, affordable complex's located on the East Side. It's right next to a Kwik Trip, the bus stop is on the corner, it's a few blocks from a grocery store, East Town Mall, and about 6 minutes from Walmart. It's not too far from the beginning of the East River Trail. We had very few maintenance issues and when we needed maintenance they were there same day or the next day. The kitchen appliances could be updated, but worked perfectly and we didn't have problems with them. Heat and water were included in the rent. Unit was heated by water heaters. I loved the closet spaces and the open kitchen, dining, and living room! We didn't have many issues with noises. We lived in a lower so if the people upstairs walked really heavy you could hear them. Other than that the complex we lived in was very quiet at the time we lived there. Parking was sometimes an issue. There was the option to park on the street. Snow removal was done pretty quick for the parking and walkways. The parking lot is monitored by security cameras. There was no onsite management, but they were reachable by email or phone. I usually emailed and received responses within 24 hours. Very helpful and casual. Enjoyed living here! We moved out of the area due to job relocation.
