Property Ratings at Horizon House
Horizon house staff is very nice but the building needs a lot of maintenance. In the last 3 months, they asked us to move our car for parking garage renovation. The trash chute has been shut down for 6 weeks. They drilled holes in our bedroom and took out our AC to replace the riser tube. The elevators are also broke and we are scared we got stuck in there. One time the staff had to cal the fire department to rescue someone stuck in the elevator. Heater and AC are not controlled by the tenants. The manager chooses when to turn them on. Constructions with loud drilling noise have been going on from 8-5 every weekday for the last 5 months. Don’t live here!
Horizon House has really gone downhill in the last several months. The building allows smoking, and it leaks into neighboring apartments, which is a health risk. The smoking policy in apartments is not mentioned in the lease. I have tried working with our management to have a safer and healthier building, but management refuses to care about the health and safety of its residents. The new property manager has been unkind and unhelpful. The corporate resident relations director has also been uninterested and unsympathetic to living in a home that smells terrible and causes permanent health damage. I would strongly recommend prospective residents avoid Horizon House as well as all Southern Management properties.
Lets see...they flooded my moms stuff when she stayed in the guest room and gave her a problem with giving her money back. 2/3 elevators have been down/in use for the past two weeks. I was promised a parking spot when I moved here from New York but that never happened and was force to park 15 minutes away which made me have to get rid of my car. I was promised I would be able to control the temperature of my apartment when I moved in...that never happened. I think you are all starting to get a picture here that this property is going down hill.... BUT I will give them this...the apartments are nice and spacious.
Great place for the old and the young. The staff is friendly and quick to respond to anything the resident might think is an emergency, with a smile. :) As I text this, we are having one of our annual pool party with door prize catered by the staff. Oh, the pool is on the roof top. Beautiful down location and many great resturants. Come and enjoy the residents at Horizon House.
Amazing views of the city, staff is very professional and treat you like family. There is a real pool on the 21st floorthat gives you 360degree view of all of baltimore!!!! Also the gym is top notched and overlooks the north view of Baltimore with floor to ceiling windows on the 20 th floor. Shopping within walking distance, bars, clubs, brewery's and a plethora of restaurants just around the corner. The only bad side is the laundry room. There is one washer and one dryer per floor which has roughly 10-15 apt per floor, highly recomebd, oh and did I mention utilities are all included with rent price!!!!
