Property Ratings at Hudson Preserve
My 80yr old Mother has lived here for the past 2 years before she died August 3rd. She was so happy here. The apartment was spacious for her wheelchair, well designed, plenty of storage, clean, and safe. The maintenance and office staff were exceptional in taking care of her needs. They went above and beyond. She truly was able to be comfortable and safe in lovely surroundings during her final years. Thank You So Much from her Family
It's not in Latham it's in Watervliet. It's billed as a luxury apartment complex, but the quality and workmanship of our home was poor. Management was rude and argumentative in general. This place is hardly 'luxury.'
Hudson Preserve is a place that I’m proud to call home. The property is set on 60 acres and is set away from any outside noise or traffic. It’s almost like living in the country, but close to plenty of shopping and major highways. I have a beautiful 2 bedroom that has a balcony and vaulted ceilings. Everyone is very friendly from the maintenance staff to the office staff to my neighbors. I have a dog and he and I both enjoy the dog park. I spend as much time as I can in the summer at the pool and there is always plenty of lounges available. They recently updated the fitness room and added new equipment. All in all I am very happy here and can say Hudson Preserve is a great place to live.
We have lived at hudson preserve for just over 2 years now and we are still very happy !!! Our apartment is renovated with granite countertops and stainless appliances. Mainteance has always been very quick to respond to any requests we have had. Our daschund loves to run and play in the dog park which is a great feature for us. We also enjoy the pool, although we dont get there nearly enough :( and my partner enjoys the new equipment in the fitness center. The office staff is very polite and they even hold our deliveries untill we can pick them up!!!
We have been residents here for 3 years now and downsized from home ownership. It’s terrific not to have to have all the responsibilities of owning. The grounds are kept up nicely and the snow plowing is done in a timely fashion. Maintenance gets to our service calls quickly and is courteous and respectful. The office staff is friendly and efficient. We have great neighbors and often get together in the summer at the pool. Everyone loves the annual barbecue and holiday party that they throw.... Hudson Preserve goes above and beyond and we are happy to call it home.
I have lived here for 4.5 years with my girlfriend and we could not be happier. The entire complex is essentially a really nice, suburban neighborhood. You can feel the sense of community. The apartment, itself, is spacious and private. When we host friends and family they all remark at how nice our 2 bedroom, 2 bath is. The amenities are great - I use the gym (which is accessible 24/7), often in the winter, and I use the pool in the summer. Hudson Preserve is pet-friendly, conveniently-located and well-staffed with super friendly management. They put out newsletters and throw holiday parties and summer BBQ's - the management is inclusive, creative and thoughtful. I would recommend Hudson Preserve to anyone. Young professionals, growing families, middle-aged, empty-nesters, folks who are slightly older.... there are people here in every stage of life! Maintenance is prompt, the landscaping is well-kept. Everything from snow-removal to pot-hole patching is taken care of as soon as it is needed. Probably one of our favorite aspects is the "preserve" part of it all. We are so impressed with the "wild-life" we have encountered. We have seen red-tailed hawks, hummingbirds, blue jays, golden finches and deer, and have heard owls and woodpeckers. We feel so lucky to call Hudson Preserve home!
My fiancée and I have been residents of the complex for 2 years now and we’re happy to call it home. We are conveniently located next to the office, so walking to the pool is quick for us in the summer. Living in NY, you know harsh weather is a thing in the winter; their maintenance team does a great job clearing the roads and sidewalks making it safe for all the patrons. Whenever we’ve had something break down in the unit, whether it’s our microwave or even needing sealing strips on our freezer door, maintenance came same day. Hudson Preserve definitely feels like a family complex with all the group activities they’re putting on for the community. Everyone seems happy and content, and overall it’s a great place to live. Our biggest perk is there’s Washer Dryer in the unit, so we don’t have to worry about timing it with other tenants like some other places.
I am surprised to see 5 start reviews by many. I am current resident and my drier is not working since last one month. Leasing office team have not control over maintenance request. Lia makes excuses and unable to get my problem resolved. In harsh winter i have to use common drier facility and we are talking about luxury residence. It is luxury without maintenance request closed on time
If I could give this place a rating of no starts I would. Unfortunately the site won't let you. I will not get into all the horrifying things that is happening to me at this place. It is too horrendous. Instead, this is a warning. I am one to do reviews, but I am doing this more so that others don't suffering a miserable faith here like I am currently. Do not rent here! THEY FIX NOTHING! The aesthetic of this complex is beautiful, but it is also cheaply done. The rent is ridiculously high and they raise it almost yearly, summer time is noisy from the constant mowing of grass-and I mean 3 to 5 days per week and all day long (unnecessary). The staff is not the friendliest or most welcoming. I am in my second year of living here (the reasons I had to stay because I am physically unable to move because of my health). In chronological order, I've had a rat infestation, then flies because the maintenance crew broke the windows during their window power washing, then comes water bugs and spiders and at last, my favorite - bees. The office refuses to get professional to take care of the issues, no matter how many times I've gone to them. They keep sending their maintenance guys who straight out tell me that they are not trained or quality to do all the things they are asked to do. And that's just inspect and pest. I will not born you with the details of not fixing the leaky faucet that raise up my water bill for over a year (and by the way, you don't get reimburse for that), and so much more. Once my doctor clears me, I am so out of here; broken lease and all. This luxury apartment is no luxury at all. All you pay for is to have your own washer and dryer inside your unit. BRB, have to go kill a bee. Did I mentioned I am deadly allergic it to them. See my point? I wish I could insert pictures on here. You would be terrified. So heed my warning, don't be like those stupid people in the movies who did something they were warned against and ended hurt or dead. Don't even bother when it comes to this place. Buy a house instead. I guarantee you that no matter how bad your credit is, your mortgage will still be cheaper than liver here and the place will be yours.
I am a former tenant; and I cannot recommend this complex. The managment is terrible and you have to be very persistent to get repairs done. The rent is high and there are much better places in the area to rent.
I reside here for the past 5 years. It is an almost 1400 sq. ft 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. I have high ceilings because I'm on the 2nd floor. I have a nice patio off the living room and a large open floor plan. The kitchen is ample size, no granite or stainless but you can get it as an option. This complex accepts large dogs! That is why I came here to begin with. Both bathrooms, the main bathroom with as tub and the on suite bathroom in my master bath both have wood cabinets built into the walls. They have a cool heating lamp in the ceiling that is really nice in the Winter or just during a shower. There is a walk in closet in the master bedroom and a wall to wall closet in the 2nd bedroom. Washer/ dryer has its own room concealed in the hallway. A pantry too inside the kitchen space. Berber carpeting for now... once changed it will be regular carpeting. Parking is good, nice park-like setting outside, garages and storage units extra. Pool, fitness room and very nice property manager and leasing agent, have been here since I moved in, they are like my family! Great neighbors! Easy access to everywhere! Good shopping location. I love it here and recommend it. Very good sound proofing between apartments as well as up and down.
Great apartment with private entrance, laundry in apartment, pets allowed, looks out on woods in back. The upkeep is fantastic. Snow plowing is done in a timely fashion, and the grounds are kept up beautifully. I will be starting my fifth year here this month!
