Property Ratings at Hudson Ridge Apartments
I initially gave this apartment a good review, but 1 month after moving in cockroaches appeared. They tried to blame it on me saying I brought them in. I found out from the exterminator that the unit next to me had a cockroach infestation and that was the source. It’s been 4 months now since this issue. I have found cockroaches on my bed, on food, dishes, and clothes. I gave them access to extermination multiple times. I asked for another unit and other options but they kept stalling me. It’s affecting my quality of life and mental health.
I lived in a 1bd1ba apartment for only a year. The first couple of months I barely lived in it because I was commuting 5days a week to midtown & back. I definitely don't believe this area is a place to raise a family or to have pets! EVERYONE here has a dog! I always bump into at least 5 people just getting the mail (not even leaving the building)! & what's a "plus" is that you have to pay for parking in the complex IF they even have spots available! Otherwise you'll have to Find parking & pay $10 everyday or else you'll get a ticket. & God forbid you wake up later than 7am to change parking tickets. You have to pay for laundry which I don't understand why since tenants pay to live inside the building. The apartment manager is nice, but overall, it's just not a place I would live at again! This experience has taught me that I am definitely not a full time city girl! It's ok if you have MONEY & PATIENCE, otherwise the negativity of this area will eat you up! Good luck!
Really nice community, clean, friendly people, nice garages, one annoying thing that you need to deal with: is the super of the building, never picks up the phone, never reply to the messages, and if gave you an appointment to fix something, just consider him absent, he never shows up or even apologies for being ignorant.. check your apartment before you sign anything, if there is anything needs to be fixed, do not sign till they fix, if they promised, you will never hear back from the super Otherwise, the place is pretty nice and located in a very nice spot
This is a nice apartment in a great building that's well maintained. It's in a super convenient location with an easy commute to Manhattan and a gorgeous view of the skyline from the grounds. It also includes parking which many apartment buildings nearby do not provide.
