Property Ratings at Hunt Club
Hunt Club has been my home since 1996. I've raised 4 kids here. Schools are great, neighborhood has everything you could possibly need, often within walking distance. Yet, you still feel like you are in a suburban residential area with trees and flowers and the whole shebang. Just about all the utilities are included (except electric), full size washer and dryer, dishwasher, etc. As for pests, they are a reality of apartment living, but Hunt Club has an exterminator on the grounds at least once a week for inspections and trouble calls. As long as you're actually reporting the problem, they'll take care of it!
The pros great family location, it’s peaceful and nice. The cons MOUSE INFESTATION... if want to live with mice and pay that much in rent they go ahead. It’s disgusting, I’ve spend so much money and traps but these things are just use to them so they avoid them. Also never consume the water because some days I have to let it run for 30 minutes before using it because the water is BROWN!

This apartment used to be good before. But recerly water has been constantly shut off with minimal to no prior notice. I would never recommend anyone to this apartment. I regret living here now. Stay away if you can. Do not het yourself in trouble.
Property Manager at Hunt Club, Responded To This Review
We strive to keep our valued residents informed of scheduled repairs. In advance of a scheduled repair residents are given several days’ notice but no less than 24 hours advanced notice. Unfortunately in emergency situations like the one mentioned in this review, we did not have advance notice to give. During this recent emergency an email was sent to those affected just as soon as we knew the water had to be shut down. An additional email was sent 2 days after the repair was completed, apologizing again for the inconvenience, informing those affected what caused the emergency and our plans going forward to avoid a repeat of this problem. All in trying to keep our residents informed as best we can. With this resent unusual emergency water situation. Our first priority was to ensure that homes were not being affected by water coming in where it should not. The Hunt Club Maintenance team responded to the emergency situation in a rapid and professional manner keeping those homes from having additional inconvenience beyond the water turned off. We welcome your questions concerning our procedures in the handling of preventive services, scheduled repairs an emergency maintenance needs at Hunt Club. Our direct line is 410-667-0055. Sincerely Hunt Club Apartments
I’ve been here two weeks and already can’t wait to move out. The parking is terrible-i work a second shift and can’t even park inside the court when i get home. The walls, ceilings and floors are paper thin- i can hear the dog below me barking all hours of the night and day, and the kids upstairs stomping and running through their apartment. The parking lot is graffitied with inappropriate pictures. I wouldn’t suggest this to anyone.

Clean and very well kept apartments and property. Love the area
I chose to live here at Hunt Club Apartments after extensive research and visits to ALL of the apartment complexes available in the area, making spreadsheets, and writing algorithms to quantify the value for each amenity versus the total cost of living (what can I say? I'm an engineer). What ultimately settled the decision for me was the free gas for heating in the winter and for cooking on the gas stove/oven. My BGE bill is approximately $20-30 in the winter and about $60-80 in the summer (because of air conditioning). This saves me a ton of money! And I get to be toasty warm in the winter! No five layers of sweaters for me! I also like the fact that each unit has an in-unit washer and dryer, that way I don't have to drag my laundry to the laundromat or pay some rickety machine a few flights of stairs away. They also have a great pet policy. You can have two pets under 25 pounds each, and they don't require an egregious pet deposit. I paid $200 for the pet deposit, which covered both pets. There is a tennis court, and you can use the gym across the street at Saddle Brooke Apartments' Leasing Office building. Saddle Brooke's pool is also available to Hunt Club Apartment residents (make sure you sign up for pool passes at the beginning of each summer season). Anytime I have needed a service call, maintenance personnel have responded right away to fix whatever problems I've had. The management staff is also really good about changing vent filters, cleaning out dryer hoses, and performing regular maintenance annually. Eh, so it's not luxurious. Nothing in Cockeysville is luxurious. If you want luxury, buy a home or live downtown and pay triple the rent. But, if you want to live in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood where the rent is reasonable and the gas is free, Hunt Club is your place.
Decided to move to a different area due to work after living at Hunt Club for a year and a half. First issue, when our 1yr year lease was up, we had requested just a 6mon lease, a week or so later we got a letter that stated we were to be out of the apartment within a month, confused I called the office and they said they never received our request to stay and therefore to them meant we were moving out. I advised them of the time and date I handed in the letter etc. The office called a few days later- they had misplaced our renewal lease and miraculously found it.. so the next six months were fine...I always had loved living there, loved the apt, and loved the location. The office staff always had attitudes but I just assumed that was their sour personalities. Maintenance was great and always very friendly! As soon as we advised them we were moving out everything went south. They were rude about everything had very poor communication. On top of losing our renewal lease months before all of a sudden, messages were left unanswered- no callbacks were given. We were told once -the day we were to be out and if we needed more time they needed it in writing but after that got NOTHING from them. Weeks after moving out, and happy to be with community that was friendly from the start we received our "damages" bill. That in itself was a joke. They stated that the carpet were not cleanable and beyond normal wear and tear, $805 is what they want to replace the carpet. They also said smoke/soot on the walls caused the painters to prime first and that would be $150. We didn't smoke in the house because we had a three year old. I asked for pictures of the damages. They said the "soot/smoke" damage wasn't visible and sent pictures of the carpet that were not over and beyond normal wear and tear of a carpet with three people and a toddler living there for 18months. Overall if you're moving in- I hope you're there for the long haul, and hope you never have to move out.
one of the best resident place.I like very much and would advice others to stay Likes and suggestions: one of the best resident place.I like very much and would advice others to stay
Good location and quiet place. Mice problem should be solved
great location, closer to market and bus stops. convenient for those who doesn't drive. but the apartment itself is not that great. the entrance and hallway are not cleaned often. very noisy, you can hear every step of someone living above you. good thing the heat and gas are free but the stove don't have enough power that some food takes forever to cook and not enough hot water, esp in winter.
water and heater services are vary good..... only one unexpected thing is mouse....they are all around the apartment. if hunt club authorities can take care of that, and give us a permanent solution , we'll be very much thankful to them....
Good Play ground for children, Out side view, near by bus stops
This community is very good to live in with family.
Everything you need is within a few blocks. Gas and water included in rent. Most developments in the area do not offer this. If you prefer a parking spot close to your apartment, get home early. After 9pm, they are all gone.
It is one of the best community I enjoyed living and very good value for the money paid. Istrongly recommend this society
I like the size of our unit for the price (value), the fact that we were able to bring our two small dachshunds and that we have access to a pool.
Office staff not always friendly, hard to reach property manager when you needed her to aid in getting problems fixed. Always had excuses for why maintanence issues were not addressed in a timely manner. Likes and suggestions: Hunt club is near shops, has water and gas included. It would be nice if they updatde some of the apartments, appliances and windows are old and not efficient.
The staff and maintenance people are great! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I personally don't know many of my neighbors, but everyone seems nice and the area is great. There's a Target and a Food Lion within walking distance and the apartment complex is on the Towson University shuttle route.
24 hour access to the fitness room is great. The pool is well maintained and quiet, but I wish it was open longer. The staff is very nice.
I love the location - close to work, shopping, parks, schools, a lot of people don't even own cars and walk everywhere!
