Property Ratings at Hunter Ridge Apartments
I've lived in all types of places. Apartments, dorms, a house with 8 other college students and in none of those places was the noise as bad as it is here. I live on the bottom floor and I can hear EVERYTHING my upstairs neighbor does. EVERYTHING. I can hear him pee. I can hear him in the kitchen using the sink. I can hear him talking. I can hear his tv. I can hear him when he's walking anywhere in the apartment. He wakes me up just about every morning between 4-5am just because I guess he gets up at that time and decides walking around aimlessly is the best thing to do. I had to buy earplugs. If he decides to take a shower I can hear the water in my bedroom like it's leaking out of my ceiling because of how they decided to do the piping, which they also did terribly because anytime he showers there's a wonderful tapping sound of pipes hitting each other until the water stops running. When he walks around it sounds like he has concrete attached to his feet. He throws things around on the floor that sound like bowling balls. The excess of noise is utterly ridiculous. I've contacted the apartments twice about it because it interferes with my daily life. They've said they've talked to him both times but the noise has not decreased whatsoever. I'm pretty sure they used construction paper for the floors while they were building these things. I actually get excited when I come home and I don't see his car because then I know I get a short time of it being quiet. He's an older man so he obviously has nothing to do with his life and rarely leaves the apartment so he's unfortunately home most of the time. The quality of the apartment is not worth the price either. It doesn't come with a washer and dryer. If you have a pet not only do you have to pay a fee before you move in but you have to pay a monthly fee for them too. The paint peels off of the doors and baseboards with any type of pressure. There are bugs and spiders everywhere, I kill at least one bug a day. When I moved in the blinds in the bedroom were broken, the stick that opens the blinds was broken off and just sitting on the window sill. The first time I tried to use the drain stopper in the bathtub a giant piece of mold came out from under it. The appliances are pretty dated and you have to buy your own microwave. All in all, if the apartments were priced lower there wouldn't be much room for compliant but for the price they're at I don't think it's worth it.
