With curving roads, towering trees, and plenty of green space separating apartments and houses for rent, The Thicket is appropriately named. This wooded neighborhood is located in western Greensboro about six miles away from downtown. The Thicket is next to one of Greensboro’s commercial hubs, so residents have a variety of restaurants, department stores, and popular retailers near their homes. With easy access to major roadways like Interstate 40 and 73, residents can easily travel across the Greensboro metropolitan. The Thicket provides a quiet retreat from the city’s vibrant downtown area while remaining close enough to its major attractions. The Thicket is convenient to Greensboro Coliseum Complex, a large entertainment venue for sporting events, concerts, and more. The neighborhood is also a short drive away from Bennet College, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

Property Ratings at Hunters Chase
This has been one of the best moves ever. I came to Hunter Chase to view a one bedroom. I did not expect much honestly because I came from a sister property in Adams Farm and was treated like I was unwanted, spoke to like a dog and over all left feeling bad about myself. But all that changed when I came to hunters. I was greeted by Dawn with a smile and right away felt welcomed. I told her about my experience at a sister property and she then apologized on their behalf . Which she did not have to do. She showed me a unit , I feel the price was a little bit high and could definitely use a upgrade but it was clean and well maintained. I decided to rent because the customer service and dedication is the main thing that matters. While I was in the clubhouse filling out the application, Michael came out and introduced himself and chatted for a moment. Expressed to me he would love to have me as a resident. This sealed the deal. Not only was the Assistant manager great but also the Property manager. I am so happy here and will being staying as long as Michael and Dawn are here.
The Staff here at Hunters Chase the awesome. They are always friendly, do everything possible to help with any situation. Treat everyone the same always. Maintenance is the best I have ever had in any apartment I have lived. Work orders are always done quickly and we are kept well informed during the whole process. Great notes are left to let us know they where here and what was done. The community had been improved tremendously in the last year. The property manager Michael and Dawn can always be seen walking the property making sure its in order. This is the best place I have lived and the best staff I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I do know this is an older property so there is certain things that come with that but if I have an issue maintenance takes care of it very quickly then all is fine. I highly recommend moving to here if you are looking for a place that is convenient to everything but yet still feels like you are far away in the mountains. Also if your looking for a outstanding management team then look no further. These apartments go really fast because of all this.
Supberb, outstanding and excellent service Staff wonderful apartments
So I have waited to write this review because at first I was angry and I wanted to give a good review. I moved here in July and this is my first time living outside of student housing. I moved here to get away from crime mostly. I live alone and every Saturday night that I have been here I’ve heard gun shots and there are always people walking around when I get off at night. The maintenance guy smells like alcohol and they take their time when putting in a maintenance request. As a matter of fact I had to call the office to see if they got the request (they didn’t) after a whole week went by and still didn’t receive help. Another thing that happened this past week. As I was walking out my door I saw a letter posted on my apartment stating basically that they had 2 complaints about smoke smelling like something that’s not tobacco (I don’t smoke at all). In this letter she ended with they would eventually call authorities and investigate if they receive another complaint I’ll be evicted (never been evicted). Not one time during both incidents did she come knock on my door to confirm the smell coming from my apartment on top of there being about 15 other people who live in the building. I contacted my lawyer which is why I didn’t bother to contact the office. They handled that situation very unprofessional and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. I live by myself and bother no one. I was just in the leasing office the day before they put the notice on my door and she didn’t say anything about it. I feel like I’m being watched and harassed at this point. Oh yea last thing if you don’t plan on paying for Spectrum or AT&T cable and internet do not move here and if you are fine with creepy crawlers don’t move here the rent price is not worth it nor are the amenities worth what I’ve been put through. As soon as I can find a way to move out I will. Hope this helps! Don’t let the smile fool you
I never thought I would need to post a bad review for Hunters Chase. I am in the 4th year of stay in Hunter's Chase and I always had good experience here until Chris and Denise left. We have preferred to stay here just because of the welcoming, understanding attitude of the manager and the great maintenance team here (facility wise Hunter's Chase don't have much to boast about). Once Chris and Denise left, we don't see the welcoming attitude anymore. Existing facilities are being taken down! In the absence of children's play area, only option for "out of home" activity for my son was the pool and seems the management has closed it mid way through the summer. It's a pity this is happening as we all had good memories here. Hoping management will rethink the decision of moving Chris and Denise and make decisions with the residents in mind.
I absolutely love living here at Hunters Chase! Everyone is so friendly, yet keeps to themselves (no noise at night). The wonderful women in the office are very helpful, know you by name, and will work on any minor issues you might be having. The maintenance personnel are also very kind and willing to help.
Stayed here for almost 5 years never had any problems. Denise and Chris are always available and willing to go extra mile to help for anything. Just love this place and management. Swimming pool is good and surrounded by trees so you can have resort style feeling and not directly visible from any of the apartments. Will recommend this place to anyone from bachelors to family and 2 bedrooms and 2 bath floor plan is spacious and comfortable. Thanks Denis and Chris for making stay good in Hunters Chase.
What all can i say nice about this place???? NOTHING Keep looking!!!
In the summer its nice because the property has a ton of tree. The staff is great. They get to know every person and pet. They very friendly. The apartment is nice they repainted and recarpeted when I moved in have a new frig and stove.
I love my apartment. It's centrally located I can reach downtown in less than ten minutes and It has easy access to I40. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like you are part of a community. Another great part is how quiet it is here. I expected to have a lot of noise because of the location, but its very quiet at night, I can hear the crickets outside as I type this review. The apartment complex is older so don't expect brand new renovated units, but the quiet, calm and friendly atmosphere make up for the age of the units. Not to mention its affordability. Quite a few renters have been here for years which speaks volumes. It truly is a hidden gem. It's a great affordable apartment in a good area.
