There is a lot of emphasis here on making the place like brand new and adding many conveniences, but ignoring basic things that current tenants have been promised. Spending LOTS of money, but the washers don't work and they have been broken for a year.

I like the June apart from the incredibly squeaky floors. The area surrounding the June is filled with street crime and drugs.

I moved from out of state so maybe this is normal for Albuquerque but not for me. The area is called the war zone by my coworkers, it's strange to be able to say I know what gunshots sounds like from 30 yards away, and homeless population is out of control because the police don't seem to care in this area. Appointments made to have repairs done just go by with no contact and are forgotten about unless I keep bug them for weeks. It's not fun to be home from work multiple times without anyone showing up. It's cheap for ABQ, so it's got that for it, but otherwise I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Nicely updated complex surrounded by homeless people, street crime and drug use right out front of the apartments. This will be your experience.

Hunters Ridge was the right choice to call home. The staff is friendly, the maintenance is fast, the location is convenient, and they have washers and dryers!

Hello Hunters Ridge Resident, We strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at Hunters Ridge Apartments. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if there's anything more we can do! Sincerely, Your Hunters Ridge Team
Location is very good. Grounds are kept in good shape. Appliances in most apartments are inefficient and old. Most people pay a very high electric bill. This is totally unnecessary given the rent we pay. Gates and any security often aren’t working. My last work request asking for a gate to be fixed disappeared.
The perfect size apartment for me and my boyfriend, we absolutely love it!
I’ve lived here almost 1 year with at least 3 different managers. Appliances are old and easily fall apart. When requesting maintenance, they don’t show up at the times requested (you have to pick 3 different time slots and they still can’t come). If they do show up they don’t properly fix things and are in a rush to leave. Unable to get ahold of anyone in management. “Gated community” but the gate is broken and left open the majority of the time. They fix the gate for one day and then it’s broken for days to weeks. Can’t wait to leave.
Manag used to fix plumbing. Used to fix sprinklers. Used repair problems in complex. They don't now. Homeless get into complex and sleep in the grass or by the park, set fires in trash bins. Gunshots 3 or4 times a week. Dog poop not picked up. Trash not picked up.
The staff are very nice and helpful, and perform repairs quickly. The location (proximity to grocery stores, major roads) is excellent. However the complex itself is very old and the appliances are extremely inefficient - the dryers and washers are some of the worst I've experienced, and the dishwasher requires long pre-soaks and hand scrubbing to actually wash dishes. In the summers and winters, your electric bill will run very high if you keep the apartment at any reasonable temperature for living. Overall, management needs to renovate this place for it to reach its 5-star potential.
My boyfriend and I have been living here for two years now. All in all this place is exquisite! We came from a 485sqft hellhole of an apartment to this oasis. The grounds are meticulously maintained and lush with greenery! It is a smaller apartment community so you actually feel like more of a community. No bug problems. No neighbor problems. There is ample parking. The apartment homes are well maintained. There is so much natural light, you don’t feel like you’re living in a cave! Every apartment has a patio and is well laid out. It is GATED, in case you’re not familiar with Albuquerque, that is VERY important. Most of all, the maintenance employees are so nice, professional, and efficient; and the office employees know your name and are always happy to help with anything you may need! You can’t find better than this in ABQ without spending most of your income. You’re on the edge of the city just off the freeway, so close to the mountains, surrounded by grocery stores, behind a movie theater and close to many restaurants and breweries. Definitely recommended if you would like a quiet, lovely community to live in.
My husband and I moved to Hunters Ridge in June and have been very happy with the entire staff and the quick response time with any repairs. Would recommend this apartment community to anyone.

Friendly staff. Good and timely maintenance crew.
In my time as a resident of Hunter’s Ridge Apartments, I have found it to be incredibly satisfactory. There are ample parking spaces available, it is thoughtfully laid out from courtyard to pool space. My apartment is very spacious for a one bedroom, with great closet and storage space, a spacious balcony, nice countertops and a very comfortable bathroom. Whenever there are things to be fixed or repaired, concerns or questions, maintenance is very accommodating and very punctual and considerate. I would definitely recommend Hunter’s Ridge as a place to live, as a single person or as a family. It is very safe, as it is gated and well lit, and the people, all in all, are very friendly. Huzzah! Annette E.
I lived there for one year starting from 6/2012. I moved out because I needed a bigger place and went on to rent a house. I am usually very meticulous about picking a place to live in, reading on-line reviews, crime statistics and asking people. I did pick this place after doing my homework and was truly pleased with my choice. The number one priority for me is safety which I was very satisfied with. The complex is in the four hills area which is a nice neighborhood. It is gated. The gate was always working during the year I lived there. It is very well-lit at night. It is also very close to shopping and restaurants (5 minutes walk) and one minute away by car from I-40. The office staff are truly pleasant and competent. Any fixes needed were always done quickly with a follow up phone call to make sure I was satisfied. The grounds are always clean and there is a nice little park right behind it. I surely do miss this place.
