Property Ratings at Hunter's Ridge Apartments
My husband and I moved in here with our 4 year old in March of 2022 and we are approaching one year with the complex. We moved here because our brother lives on-site as well and enjoys it quite a bit. The rent is extremely affordable for the location and our neighbors are very friendly. We’ve never had an issue with the office staff or maintenance, they’ve always been quick to get things fixed including bringing me a brand new stove when our oven stopped working. I will say to keep in mind that these apartments are older so there is some cosmetic issues, like countertops bowing, and trim pulling away, but overall the place is really solid. We live in a 2 bedroom garden and converted the walk in closet into a nursery for our baby that we brought home in August, we plan on signing another lease here and hopefully transferring to a bigger town home in the summer. I love our little apartment and living here and I have recommended and will continue to recommend hunters ridge to anyone looking.
I’ve lived here since 2016. My apartment is falling apart! Maintenance half fixes everything. We needed a screen door replacement and instead they replaced the whole back door. Ripped up the floor and damaged the wall. Two years later and we still have wood floor board showing where they never replaced the floor. On top of that I had to clean up all the debris that fell into the basement. There’s so much more! Instead of fixing the garbage disposal, they just removed it and we no longer have one. There’s black mold in our basement and shower! The people around here are great though! Makes it a little better.
I cannot express the amount of issues we have had at this apartment complex. You would think for the amount you pay and the location they would be a little more organized . We are moving asap.
I usually do not write reviews, but I have to speak out about this place. I wanted to move here because of the location as well as the Gahanna school district for my daughter. I applied a couple of months ago, I had to continuously call them to see if I was approved for the apartment or not. Fast forward to now, it’s the day to sign my lease, I go to do walk-thru just to make sure everything looks good. It wasn’t what the model looked like. There was a horrible smell as soon as I walked in, the paint job was awful, the outside balcony had mold on it, the bathroom room was literally falling apart, the master bath had writing on it. I literally couldn’t believe my eyes. When I went back to talk to Cierra about it, she said that they could re-paint and made it seem like it wasn’t that big of a deal. She suggested that I still move in. Absolutely not! If I could post pictures I absolutely would! I was not pleased and to top it off they refused to give me my deposit back, they said “I backed out.” If you are considered to live here don’t!
I never have been treated so poorly in my life..the office personal is horrible. Went there to check this place out with my two daughters and the lady looked at us rolled her eyes and said you have a credit score of over 750 and then rudely handed the applications to us never told us anything about the apartment or never let us ask any questions. It seems to me that we were a bother to her which is very unexcusable for people to treat other people that way.
I read a couple of the reviews and couldn't agree more. I have been living here for a couple of years. The location is great, however the office staff is incompetent and rude and maintenance shows up (after several calls) to fix poorly what needs to be fixed.
I couldn't have moved to a better place after relocating . Nice quiet area, friendly neighbors. Office staff friendly and professional. Maintenance is great! great location for a variety of entertainment. Food restaurants and shopping stores within walking distance. The school system is wonderful. Gahanna police department only a few minutes away.
I lived in one of the one bedroom apartments with a patio and I loved it! Great location to live with easy access to 270, walking distance to Kroger, and lots of great restaurants just down the road. When I moved in, the place had just been remodeled with new cabinets, appliances, carpet, ceiling fan, and paint. On the inside it felt like it was a brand new apartment! The outside has a few spots that are showing some age, but for the price it's totally worth it. Another great part was the office staff, I had to end my lease early because I'm getting married and had to get a new two bedroom apartment closer to my fiance's work. When I went to talk to them, they were so helpful and worked everything out so perfectly and very quickly. I had a great experience here highly recommend this place.
Office staff is terrible. Extremely rude. I was referred by a friend who lives there and she is now planning on moving because of excessive problems with getting maintenance request resolved. Office staff has been a continuous issue for her as well. The only plus is the location.
The only thing good about these apartments is the location. The office staff are extremely rude and obviously dislike their job as well as all the tenants. The maintenance takes forever and the inside is very dated. The floors creek so loud that if one person gets up in the night the entire house wakes up. The windows are so dated and most of the stuff inside is falling apart. I would really look somewhere else to live if your thinking of moving here.
i love it it is just ragadey on the out side but in the inside it is wow I would recommaned someone to move here
I don’t normally write apartment reviews, but in this case I think it’s necessary. Ok first we’ll talk pros — The location is awesome. You are right by 270 and Kroger and the neighborhood they are located in in very nice. They just remodeled the kitchens and bathrooms with new cabinets and tile, which look beautiful. Now for the cons— The office staff is TERRIBLE. Now you think, of course everyone only puts bad reviews on these websites. I feel the need to make sure whoever is thinking of moving here knows what they’ll be dealing with. They do NOT communicate with residents about anything whatsoever. Oh, you want to go to the pool ? You walk in, and someone asks you for your pool pass, which no one ever mentioned. Surely, it wouldn’t be so hard to send out some summer reminders such as needing a pass to use the pool. Normally, you get a statement with your rent/water amount due for the next month. Well one month we didn’t get ours, so we just put our last months amount and left a note with our check. Next we receive an email stating they switched to emails instead of statements. Ok, again is it that hard to NOTIFY residents of these changes? Also if maintenance comes to service anything, they will fix it and then write how you should come to the office to get such and such for this specific problem. 1st off, it’s not my job to keep up with the general upkeep with apartments. That’s what you get paid to do. Secondly, I would never have known that was the problem, which is why we put in a maintenance request. Lastly, the ventilation in these apartments is terrible. Our bedroom doesn’t heat or cool. Our closet has no insulation. All winter, we had drafts coming into our bedroom, and the closet is whatever temperature it is outside. So yeah, that was fun when it was -9 degrees outside. The outside air comes in through our bathroom vanity, our kitchen cabinets, and our front door. For some odd reason, the cold air from the A/C gets stuck in our dishwasher. So whenever you open the dishwasher, all the cold air finally flows out. It’s pretty strange. I know these are old apartments, but seriously. Just wanted to offer a heads up, if you are considering these moving here. This is one of our worst apartment experiences, we can’t wait to move out.
I went to visit the apartment the other day. One of the office personnel was completely rude, wasn't interested in providing information. I had to ask ALL the questions. She allowed me in the apartment and didn't say much at all. She was unbelievable and should not have worked, if she was having a "bad day".
Good location and good looking apartments. Nothing overly fancy, but for the price they're a great bargain!
