Property Ratings at Hunters Ridge
My husband and I wanted to rent an apartment in this complex. But when my husband came to the office, they weren’t happy to see him, didn’t offer to sit down, and were very rude. We decided not to live where we weren’t welcome. It’s a shame what happened attitude towards clients.
I rented Hunter's ridge March 2020 until May 31st 2022. the process of getting the apartment was good in the beginning. maintenance staff is the best. I've lived different places around the world and around junction City. Only a couple of gripes I lived in an apartment when I first moved in and moved due to neighbors below me smoking marijuana which was fumigating my apartment and then in 2021 I switched to a townhouse I felt like management didn't do anything to try to alleviate people smoking marijuana in the building and in the lease it basically says there is no smoking. Next they end up putting my townhouse up for rent 60 to 90 days before my lease was up and that was my reason for not renewing my lease I felt like I was being harassed I felt I was treated differently due to not renewing my lease putting letters on my door saying they going to put my apartment up for lease if I didn't resign and this is 60 days prior and also embarrassing to have those letters on your door. I end up turning in my keys May 31st 2022 6:00 p.m. I was charged and extra day of rent because they didn't get the keys until the next day according to my lease my lease expired May 31st they have cameras in their building they can see when someone put stuff in their mailbox. I attempted to dispute this but I just went on and paid it. Also the customer service needs work in my opinion when you don't renew your lease the address you very differently as a retired veteran, USD 475 employee, and a purple star representative for military families coming to junction City or fort Riley I cannot recommend this apartment complex.
Lived in these apartments for 3 years and had constant problems with the company that controls them. They often raised rent with little to no notice, made it impossible to move out, will try to nickel and dime you for anything and everything they can think of. Had many issues with the staff being argumentative, rude, or downright idiotic. Don't sign with these people, they're real nice until they have your name on the dotted line.
Good apartment complex, nice and safe. Lived here for nine months before i deployed. The move out process was easy. They let you do pre and final inspections so you know exactly what to expect. If you follow their instructions you will get your full deposit back (minus carpet cleaning but you know that moving in) Denis the maintenance guy is awesome!
I did not get to live in this place but just applied and reserved an apartment so I can move in later. Missing 1 week to my move, they bumped me out and gave my reserved apt to someone else. They would not compromise or help to fix their error. They told me to take another apt that I did not want or wait almost 3 weeks for another apt opening. Very disappointed!!!!!!

Hello, We are so very disappointed to hear about the trouble with your new apartment at Hunter's Ridge. If you would like, and haven't already done so, please contact the Satellite Properties Department Director at our corporate office in Manhattan at 785.776.3804. We take our residents' experiences very seriously, so if we can help sort out the situation, we'd be glad to do so.
The staff is great! Obviously there is only so many of them so they can't be everywhere all at once but they are great at making sure everyone's needs are taken care of. It really is in the BEST spot to live in in town! The view from the south side of the property is a sight to see! No other place in town has the same views. It's definitely worth the look! And the pet policy is great since they allow up to 55 lbs now.
Under the old management it was a great place to live. I really enjoyed the main office and the maintenance personal. They were really helpful. When they change office managers they became money hungry!when we did our premise out they claim the place we in great shape. They found some wear and tear but nothing major or advert. After we left they told us they had 20 days to find damage to the apartment and that we would be charge for it. It has been 4 days and they have claimed we damage the tub with a 4 in micro crack ($50) in it. They Charged us for a light bulb that wasn't missing ($3). One of the door handles was already damage on move in ($50). There was an issue with some kin of black mold in master bathroom. We told them about it and the sprayed some chemical on it. On move out the charge us ($50). They said the stove was clean on move out but now claim its dirty ($50). Every day I call they add a new charge to take the deposit. The walls were painted with a flat paint that smear when touched. On move in they spot painted the walls so now they claim we did it ($300). Every day for the past 4 days they continue to ADD new charges to keep outer deposit! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. THEY ARE A RIP OFF ON MOVE OUT. THEY WILL PRETENT TO BE FRIENDLY BUT THEY REALLY WANT YOU TO FEEL LIKE THEY ARE YOUR FRIEND! On Monday they told me $303 and on Thursday its $600 and they still have 16 days to claim we did damage to the apartment!
