We are very happy with our townhome here. We can't hear any noise from the loop when inside and we'll insulated. The office staff have always been nice and helpful to any concerns or questions we have. The maintenance in time will resolve any issues we have. We know they have a lot of apartments to deal with and we understand there is priority in what gets done first, but any issues we have had was fixed. We just signed another year here and Valerie the Assistant Manager was amazing to us and helpful in answering all our questions. Love the location easy access to everything.

Avoid this place at all cost! My girlfriend had a lease here and after a DEAD BODY was discovered in the apartment next to hers(sharing a wall with her 4 year old daughters room) she tried to get out of the lease. She attempted to do it the right way and pay the buyout fee, however they told her to cancel her notice so they could get someone else to sign a lease for her apartment at the rate they were charging her (about $100 less than the current rate) However every time someone contacted the complex they were given the run around and lured to sign a new lease for a different unit. I guess so they could get more money out of them? The management is almost impossible to get ahold of and very unresponsive. We have had several people interested in her apartment that have been ignored or turned away by management. If honesty and integrity are values that you appreciate do not sign a lease here, you will not get that. Also the new building is very poorly built, noise from the loop keeps you awake and other tenants are very loud.

I loved living here at hunters way the past 8 years! Shelbie is always very nice an always so easy to talk to and always ask about my day. Taylor is always very nice and patient. Valarie is always helpful about any of my rent issues. Deann is always willing to talk to me about anything and the maintenance staff is always prompt and efficient. Each of them are amazing in there own way!

When I did my application, the staff made the process so very easy! They answered all my questions and were super responsive. the apartment was very clean when I moved in and I love the layout. This place is the perfect size for me and my family!

Let me start this off by saying I have never written a review about really anything and I am a pretty easy person to please. Having said that, DO NOT LIVE HERE. I'm not even talking about because the apartment has roaches, it's loud, the AC doesn't work, cars get broken into, units are pretty dirty, water gets shut off once a week, hot water goes out, and it's just an all around terrible apartment complex. It's a cheap place so you kinda get what you pay for with those things. I'm going to tell you about how incompetent management is. I lived at this apartment complex when I was in grad school and not long after I started living there, the unit above mine caught on fire because of what I was told was an electrical issue. I was forbidden from going into my apartment even to get any of my belongings. I then had to basically demand that they put me up in an apartment, which they did for only one night. After that I still couldn't go into my apartment for anything so I had to make the 2 hour drive to stay at my parents' place for days. They finally told me that I had to move to another unit but they would not help me move. Instead, I had to get my mom to help me carry furniture up and down stairs. My new unit was much worse than the one that I had to leave. The blinds were broken, carpet was dirty, and it didn't have a microwave. I asked them if I could get a microwave and they told me I could but after asking at least five times, I never got it. The water was turned off at least once a week due to "a leak" and one time in the middle of February my hot water went off for a week. I put up with all of this and finally was able to move out the next summer. I had paid my last month's rent and I thought I was done with that place... boy was I wrong. Last year I was leasing a new car and the dealership was doing a credit check. They came back and told me that I had some unpaid debt with some place called Hunters Way Apartments. I had no idea what this was. I had never been contacted about this money and my father (who was the guarantor) also never was contacted about it. Not to mention the date of the charge was about 6 months after my lease was over. I still have no idea what it is because I called them and they couldn't tell me. I just applied to move into a new high rise and they told me my application couldn't be approved until I paid back what I owed Hunter's Way. It's totally unfair.These people are the worst and I'm going to let everyone know about it.

I’m happy I decided not to finalize with HUNTER’S WAY. I was lied to so I’d agree to placing a application, security and deposit fee totaling $309.00 Dollars. When I chose to not finalize they lied and made up a story about I had exceeded a 72 hour rule of theirs. All of which started from misdirection and lies on their part.
I ignored the bad reviews, and moved in anyways. Nothing ever gets fixed, even if it is important, and the property manager could care less about what goes on. I expected so much more. Please don't ignore the signs and do what I did. Do NOT move here

Worse place to live!!!! They never fix anything and my water was turned off on a daily basis for hours at a time!!! And when i moved out they charged me for 2 whole extra months of utilities claiming their utilities ran 2months behind!!!! Wish i had listened to the reviews i had read prior to moving in.
DO NOT move to Hunters Way! There is a huge roach problem! We have had our apartment sprayed 3 times and we still have them. When we moved in we filled out the paper with things that needed to be repaired and nothing has been fixed yet. We can’t use our dishwasher because it shoots water everywhere and to top it off we found drugs in our apartment last week that the previous tenant left behind. We contacted the office and they didn’t seem to care and said if we wanted to move to a different apartment we would have to pay a transfer fee when it isn’t our fault at all. They don’t return your phone calls so you have to end up calling them multiple times instead. I now am going to have to go though corporate and who knows if anything will get done. If this doesn’t convince you I don’t know what will.
This is the first place that me and my Fiancé have lived togrther, before buying a house together, I current live there and the two features I liked was the pool close by and the cameras, I work long hours and my fiancé is home. They have cameras and there seem to be a lot of people so it is safe. However, I recently had a package stolen from my door step and when asking to see who took it I received nothing but excuses that the cameras didn't even record in my direction! When I asked her to look I got attitude in return! The pool that attracted me to it, currently has been open for 2 weeks out of the 3 months, it is the end of July, dirty to the point oh don't want to swim in. I have had an infestation of roaches since I have been there, they have sprayed 2 times and bombed, (major inconvenience). And I still wake up in the morning to bugs on the floor!
My carpet in the master bedroom still not finish after 1 months it's flooding because the rain.. they tell me 100 times they gonna fix it but they don't... everyday i keep telling them... but... now still... why they can change you if you pay late for the rent but when you need where are they??? If you don't wanna do so plzzz let's me know don't play with me like that...so upset... PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS APT... just 4 people do fix everything in this big apt ... when your turn??? And how long to wait...
If you plan on living here . Always keep your receipts of your rent payments . Me and 3 others that have previously stayed here were billed for not paying last months rent at move out also for not cleaning after move out . This place is guilty of theft to its residence they don't tell you you owe them anything they just send ur bills to collections and by that time you have thrown out any receipt you may have kept . I paid out over 1,000 dollars to this company for fraudulent bills that never should have been charged to me.. If moving out make sure they inspect your apartment because even if you leave it spotless they will charge you for not cleaning 300 bucks ! if you don't take photos or have them look before you leave there going to steal from you. After finding out this happeng to 3 other people I know I figured this cant me a coincidence and is happeing to many people out there that have familys and are barely making ends meat .. This place is stealing right form your pockets ... IF your going to live here you must cover your tracks beouse they will steal from you
We love our townhome and so do our dogs! They have a dog park and so much improvement has been made in the last couple months. The new manager Bailey is really trying hard.

I haven't been able to stay in my apartment, because the AC has been out FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKS. Nothing has been done. I keep getting the run around, and told nothing is wrong with it. I'm pretty sure something is wrong when it is 88 degrees inside. But according to them that is live able. DO NOT LIVE HERE. DO NOT.
They keep losing rent checks!!!! My husband and I turned our checks in and they lost them around Easter claiming we didn't turn them in and found it!! Well all things go back to normal, we turn our rent checks in before we take off for vacation and they say we have never turned them in!!! I would check your bank accounts to see if anything goes missing. All my information is on that check. This makes me think that someone who works here may have taken my check and has access to my information. On top of that, our ac was out for a month last summer in 98 degree heat!! They didn't look at it for two days and said it was the filter. "It's always the filter" in this case our ac was smoking and screeching and they still said it was the filter.. Then 2 weeks later they decided to replace it. Yeah this place is horrible. Never been disappointed with an apartment complex. Going to call the higher management and see how they will handle my missing checks from their office...
My electric bill is extremely high every month because my apartment is old. I hope the next renter insists on new windows because the heat/AC is going out! My parents fuss because everything at my apartment looks unkept and unpainted and run down.
These apartments have several different floorplans to choose from. They're affordable and two blocks from the mall, restaurant lane (slide road) and 5 minutes from the college if you get on the loop. I would think that would add to the night time noise, but it is so quiet here at night. The complex has 3 pools, the walls are thick, and maintenance is here within a day of you putting in a service request. Really nice guys. Overall, I've really enjoyed my stay here. And the application process was a breeze. No stress.
Living at Hunter's Way has been the best experience. They're prompt with any fixes that we need in the apartment and do the best job in making us feel at home. Hunter's Way is located in a central area in Lubbock and is easy to get around town in 5 minutes from here. It has a pool, a place to workout, and covered parking areas for bad weather days.
I've lived here for 2 months now in a 2/2 unit. What drew me to these apartments were the variety of floorplans and the affordability. They even let me view the apartment twice before applying. When we finally applied for the apartment, they were very helpful and I was approved within 2 hours of sending an application! In the past I had dealt with apartments that took 2 weeks to do so and still wanted more money. No, a deposit was paid, apt reserved and we were done. Wonderful! I was afraid it would end when we moved in but it has honestly been great! We noticed that the pipes connecting our washer was leaking and we called because we didn't know who to tell yet, they had someone there 2 hours later and literally replaced the pipes entirely. No bandaid that would fall off in a month. After that I noticed that their team works all over, everyday. Not just fixing things but keeping them up to date so they don't break in the first place. They also boast 3 pools that I was wary of, but after visiting each one on multiple occasions, I can say they keep clean pools. The walls are also very thick. I didn't even know if I had a neighbor on the other side of the walls for several weeks. The community is kid/family friendly but also young adult friendly. And we are close to the mall and several restaurants, without penalty of noise. I look forward to the rest of my stay here.
