A seaside city along the Pacific, Huntington Beach is known for its miles of white-sand beaches and fabulous California climate. Nicknamed “Surf City,” people from all over the world come to catch waves and hang ten on its pristine beach. The U.S. Open of Surfing competition is held in Huntington Beach during the summer.
And speaking of beach – the pier is a favorite sport for people to enjoy the ocean views and grab a quick bite at Ruby’s Diner. There’s a section of the beach just for pups and their humans, where pup-parents can bring their dogs to play. Residents are comforted by the area’s great public and private schools as well as Golden West College.
By the shore, you’ll find many fun souvenir shops and two neighborhood malls. 5th & PCH as well as Pacific City overlook the beach, and encompass high-end shops, local pubs, and fine dining experiences. Huntington Beach houses many public parks and green spaces close to luxury apartments.

Property Ratings at Huntington Breakers
I have been a current resident at the Huntington Breakers since the beginning of October. DO NOT pick a unit in the first floor. These are older buildings (1980's) and the walls/ceilings are extremely thin. (you literally will not believe it) The sound and vibrations of my neighbors footsteps above me are absolutely atrocious. Since moving here, my quality of living has declined drastically. I had an understanding that I would be hearing my upstairs neighbors from time to time when moving here.... But the persistence of which I hear my upstairs neighbors is just unbearable. I hear 100% of the footsteps they take, every cabinet they close, and don’t even get me started on how loud their washer and dryer is. When they do a load of laundry, it literally shakes my whole unit. Good luck trying to get to sleep if they decide to do a late night load. I wake up every morning at 6 a.m. sharp from my other neighbors upstairs taking their dog out. literally every morning. Because they walk down the steps past my unit without a care in the world. Even though I told them about my situation and how they are waking me up every morning. But they couldn’t care less. I have developed major anxiety since moving here, and absolutely hate this place. I complain to my family on a weekly basis about living here, it’s just that bad. The members of the leasing office do not care about us whatsoever. They are the most money hungry people I have ever dealt with. They have absolutely no sympathy for what I am going through, as they are aware of my situation. Make sure you do proper research before making this place your home. Especially if you are thinking about living on the first floor.
Horrible living conditions. Horrible customer service. I got mold poisoning while I was living there. Apartments are outdated, the communal areas are disgusting, rats everywhere. Stay away.
Walls are paper thin and the apartments are on top of each other. It is noisy at all hours and despite complaints the leasing office does nothing about it. Because there is no central air you have to keep your windows open just to breathe so you can’t even close off the noise. Overpriced even for CA standards. Feels like living in a fraternity on a college campus.
Thin walls, dogs barking all the time, dog urine and poop smell. Drugs, rude neighbors, unhelpful staff. Very expensive for what you get.
These apartments are super loud. The walls are very thin.
