Property Ratings at Huntington Place
You will see some crazy things. You will not be safe. Your vehicle will not be safe. Car thieves, shootings, drugs, arms dealing running rampant. They had to implement and armed guard checkpoint im talking men with rifles checking cars and doing patrols. You can't make this up.
Violence, crime, smoking in the hallways, my apartment constantly smells like cigarettes or weed from the neighbors downstairs or the people in the hallway “hanging out”. Garbage everywhere. Mice, roaches, unfinished maintenance all over including my apartment I told them about 6 months ago. Stabbing in the hallway 3 days later blood is still in the hallway and on the walls. Neighbors upstairs have no consideration they have down stairs neighbors. Management and building managers don’t do anything about any of the issues around here. Not a family safe environment. The model apartment they show you is far from the actual one they put you in after you sign the paper work. The list could go on. Seriously worth a couple extra $$ to live somewhere much more safe and cleaner.

We’re saddened to learn that your experience has not been a more accurate reflection of the positive living situation that we strive to offer. Though crime can happen anywhere at any time, we do work closely with local law enforcement to provide as much assistance as possible when necessary. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we hope to work together to improve your rating of our community.
Please do everything in your power to NOT LIVE HERE. The Aeon management lead by Rory is useless. they barely answer phone calls to the office, but Rory will lie to your face and then stab you in the back. It takes them SO LONG to get anything done. Repairs are 6 months behind. They left a tree on my car for over 2 days because they are lazy, Rory said they would cover the damage and then ghosted me completely and didnt cover anything and left me with 100% of the bill even though they were negligent. there's trash in the hallways constantly, there is little to no maintenance inside or outside the building. Corporate is even worse, trying to get anything resolved with Aeon is impossible. They dont answer calls, they dont respond to emails. Please believe me when i say you are better off living literally anywhere else. Please do yourself a favor and keep looking cause these apartments are trash. The staff is trash. the property manager is trash. The crime here is crazy, things stolen and damaged multiple times living here. if I could go below 1 star i would. This is the worse place i have ever lived.

Our team works hard to create five-star homes for all our residents, so it’s disappointing to see your negative perception of our community. We try to fulfill all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, regardless of high volume. We’re sorry this was not your experience. Please bring these concerns to us in-person at the management office during our business hours, M,W,F from 9-7 to reach a resolution.
If I like drugs and violence this is your place. Not a good place to live unsafe and many many problems here.

We’re disappointed to see some aspects of life in our community have fallen short of your expectations and we would love the opportunity to improve your experience. Please come by our office so we can discuss your concerns offline. Our office hours are Mon., Wed., Fri., from 9-7pm
The website boasts a fitness center, aerobics workout room, and a heated indoor pool. What they don't tell you is that you can only enjoy the amenities during office hours. Furthermore, their office hours are CONSTANTLY changing. When I first moved in, they said they were open M-F 8am-8pm, shortened hours on Sat/Sun... but there have been many times that I arrived after 6:30pm on a weekday and they had already closed (with no email notice or anything.) They do not notify tenants about upcoming staff meetings that require closing the office. They also often close completely for lunch. The erratic hours make it hard to pick up packages, load your laundry card, and use the amenities. Since moving in, they have quit opening the office on Sundays altogether (we did get an email), and I just today found out that it's now 9-7... I didn't get any email, no notification in my portal, nor did they update their facebook page about this change. I'm lucky I noticed. The staff is not welcoming at all. Not just one person, but all the customer service front desk people have been rude, short, talked over me, or sneered when my issue "wasn't there job". It's kind of hilarious (yet aggravating) to see the one scoot everywhere on her office chair (she even remains sitting while trying to reach packages on the shelf. No, she's not disabled-- she has no wheelchair, cane or walker.) Oh, there's this new youth program that meets in the clubhouse and they just let the troubled youth run wild in the hallways of the apartment buildings. They won't tell the youth program to find a new place to meet. Tenants have tried. It's been weeks since we submitted a request to have our dishwasher fixed. We have received no communication. The laundry rooms are always awful- one 1/3 washers work. It is considered the tenant's responsibility to call the washing machine company to request a repair. But they never get fixed. It's mid april and the potholes are unlike I have seen anywhere in my life. I wish I were exaggerating. Not only is it hard to drive without damaging your car, but the potholes make it hard to walk in the parking lot as well. There has been no communication to us on what they plan to do, or when. They don't respond to emails, either, so here I am, writing a review because these are all issues that I've previously brought up with management. The rudeness, crazy hours, broken appliances, kids who don't live here running the halls.
This was my husband and I’s first apartment as we were newlyweds and couldn’t afford much. They showed us a really nice apartment in the first building and we were sold. About a week into our lease we realized that we made a big mistake, all the security doors are rigged, there’s large scary men that stand and guard every door unless they’re walking into the parking lot to make a drug deal, I’ve had them follow me to my apartment, and the icing on the cake was receiving a death threat. After that we moved out the next day and ended up paying about 2,000 dollars in eviction fees. It was tough and drained our accounts but better than having our lives threatened and management doing nothing about security.

I've been living at Huntington Place for a little over a year. The office people are friendly, and the community center and pools are great. They have awesome weekly events like bingo and Zumba. That being said, I would not recommend living here. I'm in building 49, and up until they started renovations a couple months ago, this building was a mess. The carpet in the hallways was completely torn up in places. There was a hole in the ceiling of the hallway for months, from where the water main broke, that they didn't repair properly until last week. Throwing down new carpet and slapping on a fresh coat of paint doesn't cover for poor building maintenance. I'm paying extra for an apartment with a dishwasher. Sadly, this dishwasher hasn't worked since I moved in, because of a latch problem. I've called maintenance three times about it, but gave up after it wasn't fixed on the third go. There's six laundry rooms per building, but it costs $1.30 to run each machine. You have to use a special chip card, not coins. In the closest laundry room to my unit, there's always at least one machine out of order, and it's not always marked. I've lost a lot of money in the laundry rooms. It's not just the building that makes this a really bad place to live. It's the other people who live here. While it's a "secured building," people kept finding ways to rig the doors open. It got to the point where all of the exterior locks were replaced by management, and they were still getting busted. Someone completely stripped the lock out of one of the doors. There's no soundproofing, so I can hear the conversations of anyone walking down the hall, and the kids running around in the apartment above mine. (I've taken to lovingly calling them the "tiny rhinos.") I don't know how families manage to live in these tiny apartments without going crazy, but those parents have my respect. The hallways and stairwells frequently reek of pot. I've legit seen drug deals go down in the parking lot. There are frequently fights in the parking lot, and at least one has ended with gunfire. Recently, there was a string of car break-ins. Saying it's a "high-crime" area is putting it lightly. While I'm glad the Brooklyn Park police department does their job, and they do it well, they shouldn't visit the building more often than the mailman does. This was longer than I wanted it to be, but I want y'all to know what you're getting into if you move to Huntington Place. Be smart. Be safe. Peace out.
Struggling hard to stay above, paying rent with no job, car payment with no income. I believe in GOD he who has saved me carries me through all Rocky roads. I thank my apartment leasing manager for allowing me to live in there wonderful home my house is my home until my sweet Lord call me thank you and God bless.
I've been living in the Huntington place for quite some time now and I can say that its not a bad place to live. I've heard many negative comments about the place, I decided to move in and see what it was about. I like it hear and the people are actually really nice. It gets noisey from time to time but its not anything I can't handle.. I would recommend it to friends and family.
I is the worst apartment I've lived in. There's to much crime and there's cockroaches too. I wouldnt suggest renting there.
People are always rigging the security doors so they stay open. People are always arguing in the hallways and slamming doors constantly. I told the office that my dishwasher was broken 3 weeks ago and they still have not come to look at it. The office people are friendly though.
i would only live here if i was in a desperate situation
The first day of moving in to my apartment, was full of cockroaches, It also didn't look like it was cleaned from the past tendent. I've told them about it and they moved me, Yet charged me 4 days for the first apartment whitch I didn't understand why. So then they moved my to A dog building and didn't tell me it was A dog building, Yet alone didn't tell me the naiberhood was a high crime rate. I had to find out the hard way, When I could go to sleep for three nights in a row. I've asked them if I could put a month or two month notice for moving out. But the lady at the office starts threating me, by saying I'm Gonna Take You To Court Or else you have to pay the full year rent, and as a first time renter. I didn't know what to do but to shut up and pay my rent on time, all i can say is lessened learned
Its the right size, right fit, right price and amenities. Just right.
My son and I recently moved to the Huntington place Apartments. So far so good it's pretty quiet around me and really convient with work and things, overall I'm satisfied.
Been at the place for 3 yrs now it was a good place for the first year then slowly becoming a noisy, and unsafe rent to high for the new problems..don't come here
For the little time I've been in this apartment I actually like it the majority of the time it's peaceful and quiet. When you need something they are quick, fast and in a hurry to please you. I like my new apartment and I'm a first time renter.
