Scio dates back to 1835, but the reason behind the name is a mystery. The early township records were destroyed in a fire, so the reasons the name was chosen remain a mystery. Some believe it is named for the Greek island of Chios -- the town was apparently named shortly after the US established diplomatic relations with Greece after their War of Independence, which ended in 1830. However it was named, Scio is one of the largest towns in the county and is situated west of Ann Arbor. Its location along the Huron River makes Scio a popular destination, offering beautiful riverfront parks.
Apartments in Ann Arbor Scio provide easy access to downtown and the University of Michigan. This neighborhood offers two top-rated school systems -- Ann Arbor and Dexter. Dexter-Huron Metropark, a wooded, 122-acre park, features picnic areas, a playground, ball fields, fishing, and a canoe launch.

Property Ratings at Huron Towers
You will not find a better location or value in Ann Arbor. Not to mention top-notch management and maintenance, and some of the most beautiful views there are. I lived in Huron Towers for nearly 11 years and loved it. The buildings are incredibly safe and now with the new hallways and lobbies are stunning. You will not be disappointed if you choose Huron Towers!
I've lived in Huron Tower for 2 years. It's a great apartment with easy access to the Huron river and public greenery spaces. Nice people, the managers, and the store-keeper! You may enjoy vegan brunch downstairs in the highly-rated restaurant!

Thanks so much for the review, we appreciate it! We try to do what is right in all that we do, and our residents mean a lot to us! We are so glad you love living here! -Jason
I have lived in the Huron Towers for two years now, it was my first apartment when I moved to MI from CO. I can't say enough good things about the apartment complex- from the property, the grounds, the location/scenery, but mainly about the management. Jason, the manager, along with every other person who works for Huron Towers, has been so kind, attentive, and professional. Every time I have needed anything fixed or looked at, it's been taken care of immediately. The management always says hi, knows their residents, and makes you feel like family. My studio apartment has been perfect for living by myself through grad school, and I have loved living right on the Huron river. I would highly recommend Huron Towers to anyone looking for a beautiful place to live with beyond amazing management.
