Property Ratings at Hyland Hills
A few weeks ago, we started the leasing process with Hyland Hills, and the staff have been amazing. Shiane has been our primary leasing support, and she made the process informative and easy. She is personable and has great customer service skills. The steps were explained regarding various documents that needed to be submitted and any questions that my wife or I had been answered. The apartment is beautiful, and the grounds appear to be kept clean. So far so good.
Hyland hills management lets tenants leave open bags of garbage in front of their buildings. This has resulted in rat infestations by the compressor and roaches in the apartments. Disgusting!!!!!
We've had an approved application for this property since February and have been in contact with the new ownership regarding the lease, keys, move-in information (you know, the things you need to ensure you aren't homeless) The leasing agent we had been in contact with sent us 7 different leases, all with incorrect information. We had been begging for a correct lease and for them to confirm when we can pick up the keys and haven't heard from this individual in over two weeks. Multiple calls and emails have gone unanswered. I eventually had to use the chat function of their website pretending to be a prospective renter to get into contact with somebody actually willing to do their job. This place is woefully mismanaged and the people working there have an apathy that started as mildly disrespectful and grew to be genuinely dangerous. Stay far far far away from this place. If you submit an application and are approved, there's zero guarantee you won't end up homeless on move-in day.
I’ve been living at Hyland Hills for almost a year and I was originally planning on moving but decided to stay after seeing all the improvements the new owners have made. Since they took ownership, the property has improved. They started renovating their first day and the management team is very friendly, they are much nicer than the old management. They are proud to be here and have made my experience so much better, looking forward to getting a new kitchen installed in my unit!
