Property Ratings at ibex at Uptown
I was interested in the place because of the location! I went to view the apartment and didn’t have a great experience on the viewing. I can only imagine being a resident. The hallways stink. The guest bathrooms in the lobby are dirty and disgusting. The staff seems friendly but unworried about these issues. When I finally viewed the apartment, things weren’t in place. The appliances were disconnected. And did I mention the hallway stinks really bad. I think that the place has so much potential and the rates aren’t that bad. But I do fear that if it doesn’t get the TLC that the building needs. You are going to be an unhappy resident. I hope this helps and I pray you have a better experience. Good luck.
This apartment complex has so much potential but its wasted due to the management. The building is constantly smelling of garbage. The hallway carpets are filthy. There's always trash in the elevators on the weekends because there is no housekeeping and people have no home training! There's dog poop in the hallways. It's just not a clean place to live so if that's important to you DO NOT LIVE HERE.
This place is dirty. Management is horrible. Maintenance is mediocre. Trust me stay away!
Apartment staff is so rude, they behave as if they are kind of emperors to some kingdom. They lack basic manners and don't know how to respect people. They are employed to provide assistance to residents but they don't do. I don't know why they are even getting paid. Stay away from this apartment if you think you'll have complaints/maintenance requests, they don't just help you.
The elevators are consistently out of service. Common areas are regularly dirty, commonly including pet waste. Some of my maintenance requests have been ignored. I pay $120 a year for Amazon Prime to get my packages in 1-2 days from around the world, buy Eon takes longer to provide my delivered packages in the same building. The rent price is not justified due to these issues.
We have lived here for almost a year and will be looking for other options at the end of our lease. While our apartment itself is a beautiful space (although a bit quirky and lacking in closet space), the management of this complex has been completely disappointing from the leasing process and onward. When we were trying to sign our lease, we had to wrestle with the front office through the whole process. They told us we would only be able to lock in the rate we toured for if we signed and started our lease immediately. So we complied and did everything we needed to do to get our papers, insurance, payments, etc in. I had to CONSTANTLY monitor and call to make sure they would do their end, even though they were the ones who insisted the process must be complete that day. Communication only got worse: our apartment was not clean at move-in. During the final walkthrough with the manager, we requested things like the window ledges be cleaned because there were bugs, hair, dust, etc where we could not clean them ourselves. Despite office visits, several emails, and phone calls, this has not been handled in 9 months. Our communication goes completely ignored. Do you love paying for Prime or express shipping only to take a week to get your packages? Then this is the place for you! The concierge tells you not to request your packages from the counter unless you get an email about your package being delivered from Eon. Many times, I never get an email, although Amazon will confirm delivery with a picture of the package in the package room. Then once I request my packages, the employee will say “it hasn’t been delivered” without even checking the list or the room. OR, they don’t even bother to sit at the counter during normal office hours or during concierge hours. Further, I increasingly feel less safe in the parking deck and in the hallways of our building. The deck gates and elevators are broken. Non-residents wait in the deck for someone to open this door to come in. Neighbors are loud and inconsiderate- the hallways are so thick with smoke that there is literally a haze. Pros: the building is extremely close to Marta and to lots of grocery stores and restaurants. The finishes in the apartment are nice.
I've lived here for 5 months and I have nothing but great things to say about my experience living here! I love the layout of my apartment and the team is AWESOME!!!! Tanisha, Maria, the entire maintenance team, they are the best property team I've EVER seen! Bruno
I considered moving out after 7 years here. But even after just looking at a few other places, I knew I had to stay. I have too much of a good thing to move. These were originally built as condos before becoming apartments. So the lobby is very pretty, hallways are wide and bright, and the apartments have extra nice features and storage. Underground parking means not being out in the rain. Close to everything. Marta is a block away. Jan, the manager, and her staff are cheerful and accommodating. Maintenence guys are nice and ultra-responsive. They even put a new gated dog run in the back, with benches. Residents are friendly for the most part. Community is very dog-friendly.
Only bust there's a freight train that passes every hour, by not I'm immune.. The residents here come in mixture of working class and not-so working class if you know what I mean. Security overall isn't as bad as other places considering that the MARTA (Lindbergh stop)train station is a block up.ive lived here over a year pretty much everyone keeps to themselves.
Friendly staff, very nice units, and fairly safe for the area. Since I have been here (Oct 2013) I feel that the tenant quality has suffered, and the building is less desirable than when I moved in. Trash is typically overflowing in the trash chute, elevators feel dirty, slow, and are often on "priority" use for moving in and out. Pool, fitness center, and lobby are okay. Be mindful of the train tracks right behind the building and note they are pretty active. Overall Its not a bad place, and I have enjoyed my time here. It's not a bad value for the price, and it's a pretty good location with marta, tongue and groove, and gold room within walking distance.
