Cleveland is a city where spirit meets sophistication, and nowhere is this dichotomy more on display than Downtown. This lakefront district packs a whole city’s worth of attractions and amenities into a fairly compact area, making it easy for folks to walk or bike anywhere quickly: to work, to get a bite to eat, to a ball game, even to catch a flight (Burke Lakefront Airport sits right on the shore of Lake Erie). Like many Midwestern cities, Downtown Cleveland features a skyline filled with grand architecture, from the historic public buildings to the vintage skyscrapers to the magnificent monuments dotting the landscape.
Quicken Loans Arena, FirstEnergy Stadium, and Progressive Field are all only a few blocks away from anywhere in Downtown, giving residents direct access to professional sporting events and major concerts year-round.

Property Ratings at Iconic Living at The 9
Overall, everyone on the staff is great, the building is very nice, maintenance is available immediately and they are great! Only cons for me was no natural air/windows/balcony (which of course is just due to the building itself), and I received 2 noise complaints on the NFL Draft weekend at 9 PM because people were talking in the hall way. Great place overall but if you are young and like to have company, or be able to talk over a whisper, I would recommend somewhere in the warehouse district. In my opinion if you cant handle people talking in a hallway you should move to the suburbs instead of a apartment that is a hotel and has 3 bars.
This is a great place to live! The staff is very friendly and will go above and beyond to assist with any issues that come up. The leasing team are very transparent and friendly so felt like I could make a good decision to move here. There is so much to do both inside and nearby the apartment. It is perfect for me and my doggo who has adjusted well as it is peaceful and comfortable here.
I have absolutely loved my time and experience here. The building is clean and beautiful, staff is attentive, and maintenance usually comes same day. The amenities are a huge perk as well. I would HIGHLY recommend living here.
My husband and I spent 3 years living at The 9 and it was one of the best apartment experiences that we have had. The appliances and construction of the apartments are top notch. The 9 has great security (which was my main priority) and the staff is very personable. Other residents are very nice and courteous. We had a great living experience and I highly recommend!
Everything here is perfect from the amenities to the staff. We have lived in other mixed use/hotel apartments and this is the only one where the hotel staff provides equal attention to hotel and apartment guests. The maintenance staff is also fantastic here. Extremely responsive with any requests you have!
Love living here at the 9! It's extremely convenient and the people here are great! Highly recommend!
I have lived in the Boutique Suites at The 9 since February and love it. You can't have a more central, convenient apartment in downtown Cleveland. I can go grocery shopping at Heinen's, go to the gym, and enjoy 4 different bar/restaurant/lounges, all without stepping outside. The option to have room service right to your door is amazing on lazy days, and I often take advantage of the same-day dry cleaning service. I have only had 2 minor maintenance requests and they were both taken care of same day. Location-wise, I love the fact that I can walk to Browns, Indians, and Cavs games all within minutes, and my bank, office and pharmacy are all very close too. I plan to stay here for a long time!
I live here and couldn't recommend the facilities, amenities or, most importantly, people highly enough. I was really impressed upon move-in at the condition of my apartment: it's clear management have taken particular care of the space over the years. When I've had to submit for minor repairs, I've been blown away by how quickly and effectively building maintenance responds. Common areas are always pristine. The lobby and management staff are all soo nice, and take care to not only be helpful but also to curate community. My experience has been a 10/10 so far - complete satisfaction and absolute confidence I am getting my money's worth.
I’m about to enter my fifth year as a resident here, and at this point I can’t imagine living anywhere else in Downtown Cleveland. The units are great (I will never tire of the views), and the location right at the nexus of downtown’s two main thoroughfares (E. 9th and Euclid Ave.) is second-to-none. Shows in Playhouse Square and hundreds of food and retail options are all within a few minutes’ walk, and being able to pop down to the grocery without even leaving the building is the height of convenience. Even better, four bars and restaurants are all located WITHIN the building, so sometimes I don’t even have to venture outside. Adega is perhaps my fav restaurant, Vault is definitely one of the most impressive bars downtown, and the rooftop bar Azure offers some of the best views of the city (and serves as a great daytime escape for residents). And since it’s connected to a hotel, residents get access to all the same amenities: the gym, coffee bar, valet, and even room service + housekeeping if you want it. The staff here is top-notch and another big reason I’ve stayed for so long. Everyone is kind, attentive, and just generally great. There’s a reason The 9 has won so many “best of” awards since it opened: it is!
The 1010 Building is truly located in the center of it all (between Playhouse Square & Public Square). It’s terrific to be in an apartment complex with concierge services, restaurants, rooftop bar, exercise facilities, massage spa, in-house theatre and a grocery store. Our front desk, leasing, security & engineering staff are among the very best!
Lived here for 2 years. Definitely the best downtown apartment complex. I believe Cleveland Scene has rated them #1 for 3 out of the last 4 years. Management puts on nice events every month. The indoor dog park is great for the cold weather. Can’t beat the location.
Cleveland is experiencing a boom. The 9 downtown was one of the first buildings to take advantage and provide higher end apartments in the area. However, as nice as the apartments are, management can be difficult to work with and the price is higher than market value.
I had an amazing stay at The 9, and an experience that I would recommend for any savvy professional busineman or woman. The realestate here is beyond my expectations. It's super clean, well appointed, and very modern in appearance. The entire facility inside and out looked fabulous and is well maintained. The staff are very professional, and they seem to take great care to ensure your time spent here short or long term is an unforgettable experience and that your evenings are quiet so all residents can have a good night's sleep. As everyone's knows the demand and expectations increase for high-speed internet, hotels occasionally fall behind in offering adequate bandwidth but not this property they keep up with consumer demand for faster "business-class" internet speeds. The pricing was very reasonable for the luxury to what you'd expect from a residence of this kind. If you purchase realestate at this property I guarantee the staff will do their best to ensure you feel like you got your money's worth. - John Hughes Cleveland, Ohio Sept 12, 2015
