If you have the choice to rent in another place even with a higher price so just go for it, because these are the main issues you will face in you daily life here: -Packages get lost especially when the delivery guy puts them at the front door. -Packages are often put in the wrong building, the delivery guy is sometimes not able to see the building number, I don’t know why. -Even though they said it is nonsmoking buildings, people smoke inside their own apartments and the smell is spread thru cracks and holes in walls and floors. -the middle parts of the parking flood when it rains heavily, so you will have to find a place on the sides to avoid issues on your car. The management office are not able to solve this issue even you claim.

I love living here! It is quiet and the managers respond quickly to any problem I may have! I feel safe at any hour, going to and from my car. There are no loud parties and I love being smoke free!

If you want a clean, rodent- free apartment in Darien, IL, this is not the place for you. I was taken by the view of the apartment I was shown. Upon moving in, maybe it was March, I thought I saw a mouse. I looked for it to run out again, but it did not. I decided that my eyes were playing tricks on me. I continued to live there. The management had inspections and my apartment passed every time. The janitors came whenever I called them, that was the only good thing that happened. The halls reeked with the smell of food that had been cooked days ago. The carpet in the halls was old, dirty, and had a nasty smell of its own. The children in the building dropped crackers and cookies and things of that nature on the stairs and hallways. Those things stayed in the halls for days before being vacuumed. Then, in March, 2015, about 10 A.M., I was sitting in my apartment at my computer when I saw something black run across the floor. I looked and saw nothing. Again, I assumed it was my eyes. Then I saw it run across the floor again. I stood up and looked and kept quiet and there it was sitting on my living room floor. I ran to my bedroom and called a family member to come get me immediately. Two members of the management team came up with opened sticky traps. It was then that I thought that those buildings already had mice. When my family member came to get me, I left right then. I didn't start my cleaning for the day because I am afraid of mice. I am a crafter and had supplies on my craft table. There were dishes in the sink from breakfast that I was too afraid to clean. I had talked to one of the ladies in management when she came to inspect my apartment and I told her that I didn't know what to do with my things because there was too much in the apartment. Her reply was not to worry because I would, eventually find space, and then she gave me a passing mark/grade on my apartment. This is not the place to live if you don't like, mice, nasty smells, and unclean hallways.

great place to live, for all ages. we have a pool, if something breaks its fixed emediatly. management takes an interest in tennets best interest. pet friendly. they keep the place clean. in addition to maintenance the management here are not afraid to get their hands dirty, I see them cleaning, and picking up the grounds too. I lived here for one year and these are the best apartments in Darien, for a family to live in. They have a friendly office staff,and i never had any problem with the parking. the area also has a great school district. and if i would ever returned to this area i would not hesitate to come here.

I've been living here for over a year and I have no complaints. The neighborhood is very safe, and I feel safe when I'm out in the parking lot at night. I've had issues in my apartment that were fixed within a week of emailing the office staff. The maintenance staff are very friendly, as are the two ladies in the office. Sometimes there are people who are out in the back of the building who are kinda loud, but it's only happened a few times in the past year. The amenities are fine. Rent is pretty inexpensive, so I don't expect a whole lot of extra special things there. The overall value is great, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment community to my friends!

I lived there for almost 3 years. My husband and I had problems with mice. We ended up catching 3 mice and management would not do anything about it. They got so bad that we ended up finding feces in our pots and pans that were kept under the stove. They were horrible at fixing any of the problems that we had. Our sink was linking and flooded our kitchen. It look 3 calls to them to get them to even look at our sink. They attempted to fix it but it was still broken. We had to keep a bucket under the sink at all times. Do not rent from them. Management is horrible and rude.

Idyllwild has everything I need in an apartment community. The office staff and other tenants are all very friendly. The parking lot is enormous, but tends to flood a bit when there is a heavy thunderstorm. I have been here since May 2013, and have not had any maintenance issues. There is a washer/dryer on every floor, which is very convenient. The clubhouse is always clean. I would highly recommend Idyllwild!

The whole place is infested with bedbugs and they are not doing anything about it. Management is just laughing in our face. You gotta be insane to rent here!!! If I could, I would have uploaded pictures of the bedbugs in our apartment but this website is not allowing that. Run from Idyllwild Apartments as fast as you can and don't look back!!!!
