Olympia is more than just the state capital of Washington. It is a vibrant community-centered city with plenty of exciting entertainment options for residents and visitors alike. Olympia prides itself on supporting independent businesses, with popular local farmers markets, cafes, and handcrafted beer and wine. The South Sound Wine Trail leads you through Lacey, Olympia, Tenino, and Shelter and includes six award-winning wineries. Breweries are plentiful as well, like Fish Tale Brew Pub and Three Magnets Brewing Co.
Restaurants range from casual to fine dining in Olympia, but waterfront dining is always a local favorite. Anthony’s Hearthfire Grill is a pristine waterfront restaurant at the edge of the Port of Olympia, with gorgeous sunset views and the freshest seafood. Budd Bay Café is another local favorite, with 180-degree bay views overlooking the marina.

Property Ratings at Imber at Union Mills
The good, the bad, and stuff you should know. Some of this about old management. The Good Moved in under old management, so I cannot speak to the process now, but it was very easy. Units have AC which kept us cool all summer long. Maintenance gets things done quickly. Allows dogs of all sizes. Has good areas outside complex to walk dogs. Plenty of light both inside and outside of the apartment. The Bad When we first moved in they forgot to turn on the septic which resulted in the toilets backing up. Maintenance came super quick and was able to fix the issue. The address wasn’t registered yet so people could not get directions to our apartment and we could not get deliveries there at first. This also affected us being able to get internet. We were told before we moved in the pool would be open year round. It didn’t open until 8 months after we moved in. The gate system has issues which has affected delivery. Limited parking even though there are many open units. I would suggest you pay for a spot. Under old management everyone would get unprofessional emails frequently. New management seems to be better. Apartments were built quickly and some materials are very cheap. Our front door had a gap that you could see light through. We had to keep patio door locked because it would open with a simple push. Base boards, walls, and flooring (minus the carpet) damage easily. The fan is controlled by a remote which meant other people could turn on and off your fan and sometimes your bedroom light. You can see markings under counter top that isn’t level. One of our bedrooms doors that we hardly moved had the screws pop out and couldn’t be fixed with just a screw driver. I miss placed the one key for the apartment that goes to the pool and small gates. When I went to the office they said another key would be 150 dollars, to encourage people not to lose them. I ended up finding it a few days later and returned the key before they were going to charge me. The stuff you should know You will pay for every utility. Valet trash and the community trash. PSE electric for your apartment and the community electricity. Water, sewer, and pest control. Check what they are saying you need to pay as two different times under old and new management I caught mistakes on my account. Both managements fixed the issue. There are three ways you could receive packages and there is no rhyme or reason. The mail box, door step, or the lockers by the front office.
