My lease started 9 days ago and I am already looking for options to leave. The building is infested with bed bugs and management is extremely slow to respond. I've been forced to sleep in hotels in the meantime. My bed is ruined and I am incurring huge costs daily to deal with a problem they introduced to me. This is the worst rental experience of my life.

My husband and I moved here about 6 months ago, and our really happy with this move. Staff and maintenance here have responded to our questions quickly and are kind. We appreciate Maureen’s assistance and support during a stressful situation and when we needed to move here faster then expected. Imperial Village Apartments are in a great location, with shopping, restaurants, medical, and essentially all your needs close by. The apartments are very spacious. The staff are friendly, and extremely helpful, answering all of your questions.

I moved here in July. The office staff was very friendly and helped me with all my questions and needs.
I moved from Boston to get closer to work. The commute was horrible, so I looked at several apartments in the greater Worcester area. The woman who showed me the property was professional and super easy to work with in securing an apartment for me. The property is clean, well taken care of, and the staff are courteous and very helpful. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone who is looking for a clean, safe, and friendly place to live.
Moved into a 1 bedroom in the beginning of June. Friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
I came with my wife today to visit the place and see how are the apartments availability and prices but when we opened the office door the woman who was in she locked the door in front of our face saying to office was closed not even asking if we wanted to come another time or if she could help us with anything. Ridiculous how someone who work to greet people could treat someone like that. Never come back anymore. Literally trash.

We are renting the only house in the complex and we love it. It was recently updated and is very homey. Maureen was so easy to work with during the rental process and is always available if we need anything.

Staff/management are super rude, cut conversation short and are not welcoming whatsoever. I had called 5 days prior to scheduling an apartment tour with a move-in availability for 7/1/21. Confirmed apartment availability, address, and all details. When I came in with a roommate to look for the unit of our interest, person in charge of apartment tour was not welcoming, did not let us in, stopped us at the door and said they didn’t have any availability until end of July, when I had confirmed everything over the phone. The treatment and how the business was handled was so poor and upsetting.

I just relocated and found this place online. It was exactly what I was looking for and in my price range. It is conveniently located and the management staff is great. Maureen helped me a lot during my move. Any mainteance issues were fixed immediately. I highly recommend living here!

Though just a stones throw from Worcester, Imperial Village maintains the cozy feeling of Shrewsbury. The community is quiet and, even though it sits along Rt. 9, road noise is almost imperceptible. The office staff has been incredibly responsive and helpful when I've needed them. So far, I have not had any major issues with my apartment either.

I’ve been here almost 2 years. Never had any problems. The leasing office and maintenance team(Maureen and Gary)are on top of everything. Very friendly and willing to help with anything you need!! Never moving out!
For the amount of rent, the amenities are nonexistent. These apartments are built with MINIMUM quality. There is no electric outlet in the bathroom, smallest kitchen area you can put in an apartment, and extremely thin walls (I hear my neighbor burps, snores). The new people they put in the leasing office are nicer. No policy against smoking indoors, so do expect cigarette smoke in your unit if you got one of those neighbors. Location is convenient.
Water damage? No problem! you get painters come over and patch it up.. REALLY? You need to fix the actual problem! Find where the leakage is happening. Because of their fake renovation, things fall apart quite fast. Guess what? if any other damages happen (not due to normal wear / tear) they take your security deposit. This is how they've been practicing. Stay away unless they rebuild the apartment building here under new management.
Worst experience ever. April and General Manager Lady is worst in communications. They give False commitment and mistreat people. Beware of them. Worst people I ever meet. I don’t even want to give 1 star as review.
Don't do it. I lived her for 3 years, the electric in the winter is very high, no insulation. My rent went up 160 in one year. They charge you property tax every year and no cheap. They don't give back your security they use it for their benefit. Nothing handicap accessiable. There is always black stuff coming out vents. Please keep looking!
I moved in to my apartment just over 2 months ago. My apartment is huge over 1000 sq ft I looked at a ton of places and this was the best value for the money. I wanted to stay in Shrewsbury and the cost of living in this area is out of control. I was happy to find Imperial Village. The people in the office are very friendly and the maintenance workers are quick to respond. I could have paid another $600 a month to be at one of the brand new complexes but at the end of the day my apartment is big, the community is very quiet and the staff is helpful and friendly. I will update my review should things change but as of now I'm very happy with my decision and will recommend it to any friends and family looking for a nice place to live.
If you anticipate access to a luxury style apartment that one would expect for the price, I’m sad to say that this is not the place. A fresh coat of paint is not updating. You may find newer appliances, but cabinets and counters seem to be original and 20 years out of date. You will find only one cable connection and limited outlets. This development needs a complete overhaul. My recommendation, spend a couple more dollars for one of the many brand new options available within minutes.
