Property Ratings at Indian Creek Apartments
In my 15+ years of renting through college, graduate school, and as a young professional, this was BY FAR the worst place I have ever lived. I got out of there as fast as I could and was counting down the days until I did. It was disgusting, pest-infested, and far from “luxury” that they advertise. The leasing office is a joke and they have no idea what they’re doing. AR Building Co. has horrible ratings and I understand why. It took a lot of sleuthing and multiple phone numbers to track them down. Here was my experience: • MISLEADING RENT: your rent will be $200/mo higher than listed because of “premium” amenities, including maintenance??? Maintenance is not premium, it’s standard. You cannot opt out of any of these, including valet trash which is inconsistent at best. • When I moved in, they said they deep cleaned my apartment, checked all the utilities/appliances, and took great care of the transition. In reality, I found cigarettes in the “new” carpet, lightbulbs out, dirt everywhere, shower head covered in limescale, dishwasher leaking, a 1-inch gap at the bottom of my front door, a missing closet door, and dryer vent completely full which is a huge fire hazard. • Many tenants do no follow the rules: dogs off leash, dog poop everywhere, trash left on side walks, adult males purposefully urinating in the pool, and much more. I had brought a lot of these to the attention of the leasing office but nothing ever happened. • Reeks of marijuana • Online rental system glitched and deleted my auto-pay, and I was treated horribly by the leasing office. • Birds, squirrels, and mice living in the walls • No recycling • Minors in the sauna at night • Leasing office manager hung up on me multiple times because she “did not have time for this.”

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing. We greatly appreciate your kind words.
Our apartment was not ready at move in. There was an extensive list of things that needed fixed that should have already been done before move in, ie smoke detector batteries needing replaced, multiple light bulbs needing replaced, light fixtures/ceiling fans needing fixed, holes in doors, missing toilet paper holders and shelves in the bedroom closet that were missing screws or had hanging screws. It took them 3 weeks before getting this fixed, thus not being able to utilize my closet for that amount of time after moving in. One bedroom was missing the knob to the bathroom sink for at least two weeks. No prior knowledge of the laundry room not being able to fit standard washer and dryer sizes, thus having to remove the doors completely & this being known throughout the units and most people just placing them under their beds, per words from maintenance staff. We did two walkthroughs where we noticed some things in the first walk through were only half replaced/fixed, ie one of the hanging bars holding a closet shelf up was just taken out instead of being fixed and one of the door holes was just replaced with a white door knob wall protector (a white circle wall protector being placed in the middle of a brown wood door). The word "luxury" should not be used when referring to this complex. Maintenance entered my home on 11/23/2020 where I was the only one present upon them entering & I left while tasks were completed. I came home and noticed there was a dent on the top of my dryer where a request to replace a light bulb above was listed. I alerted the office staff the next morning where the response was, "blank, is an excellent employee & we have never had an issue with him & he is not a liar so I just don't know what we could do at this point." As if, accidents don't happen and people can't make mistakes. They also stated, "He used a ladder and was nowhere near the dryer." but you have to get right next to the washer and dryer to fix the light ABOVE them, especially because it is sticking out onto the carpet because, as mentioned, it does not fit into the appropriate area. The severe lack of professionalism from prior to moving in, to current is a major disappointment. There's no accountability & if roles were reversed they would not ask for a witness or proof if there was damage done to the actual unit. I am the witness, there was no damage to my property before I left and there was upon my return. I'm being generous with 2 stars only due to the location

It looks nice but they have the exact same reviews on EVERY website.
This is an excellent community its quiet, conveniently located, and the maintenance staff are very quick to respond. I am so sad to go but it was the best experience I have had renting so much so I stayed for 10 years. Kirsten is the best office manager anyone could have she is personable and when you speak to her she really make you feel at ease and apart of the Indian creek family. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in search of a great living space with excellent staff.

I moved to Indian Creek in October. It is a very quite place to live. The complex is small and nice. Parking sometimes is a little hectic but there are places to park . Just recently the parking as become an issue and the apartment manager sent a email out to address the situation. They keep their grounds up and decorate nice for the holidays. I haven't had any issues so far and the staff seem very friendly and willing to help. I would recommend moving here. The location is great as well.
I want to be honest to give a true perspective of living here. I will be talking about about 3 areas. The apartment itself, the property itself and management. I want to start out by talking about the apartment itself. I rented the townhome and must admit it Was pretty nice inside. The carpeting was comfortable and brand new. The kitchen was really small but got the job done, and its actually pretty funny but the refrigerator is bigger than what was intended for the area it occupies so when you want to load/unload the dishwasher you have to open the refrigerator door. The apartment allows for a washer/dryer stackable inside which makes it convenient so that you don't have to go to the on-site laundry but is something you can either rent or buy on your own and is not included. The living room was spacious. Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms. Both pretty good size. I used the spare as a game room and extra storage space but it had a walk in closet which was very nice. The showers had a strong stream and the water heated up pretty quick. Overall this apartment was the best that i looked at and i looked at a few. The property itself is nice too and was one reason i chose this place. The exterior was very welcoming which means the staff takes care of the place.Private entrances mean no breezeway which made me feel safer at night. However the parking lot is what brings the rating down. There isn't much parking space if you live in the corners of the property. If you weren't home by 7pm or if you leave during the weekend good luck finding a spot close to your unit when you come back. Also There is a problem with tenants owning multiple cars plus commercial vans that take up alot of spots and i observed vehicles being parked and not moved for 2 weeks or more. There is no assigned parking spot so its first come first serve. There were times I had to walk a long distance to get to my unit, and if i had been injured sick etc... thats not good. As for management. They were very nice and professional. I have dealt with some managers that once you signed your name to the lease didn't want nothing to do with you anymore, however here they continued to reach out and treated you with respect and took the time to assist you when they could. This place has an AWESOME manager. Also they have a social website which is pretty cool and allows you to mingle with other residents in the complex. I give it 4 out of 5. Parking takes a star away
Well this is my first apartment moving in after I got out of college. I moved in with a roommate to save money. It's been a great experience, the people in the way she wants those are very helpful in understanding. Then make the transition to move until the apartment complex a lot smoother than other ones have. They're renting process didn't take long, it's going to pleasure to live here I love the way out of the apartment I absolutely love the stairs and it's nice to have a fireplace in your apartment especially when it's about to be winter time. And I love all the new upgrades and they are doing to the apartment especially the new carpet and also the new appliances and I do love that are all black.
Although this is in Reynoldsburg, you are only a mile or two outside the Columbus City limits. Broad Street runs a minute from the complex and has almost every fast food chain you can think of, Krogers, a gorgeous Giant Eagle, car washes, and multiple, very good dine-in restaurants, pubs, and bars. There are many ethnic eats as well, including Caribbean, Italian, African, Asian, Mexican, and Greek. Broad Street takes you right to I-270, so you're only 15 - 25 minutes from any place in Columbus, from Short North to downtown and OSU. As far as the complex goes, it was built in the 80's so keep that in mind. It has great bones, and some nice layouts, but could definitely use some upgrades. I'm not sure if I'd consider this luxury compared to some of the newer and (of course) more expensive complexes popping up, but for this particular area and rent, it could definitely get away with that title. There are a few layouts available here, so pick our fancy if available. There are also garages, first come, first serve style. My apartment is on the second and top floor with a skylight and vaulted ceilings. As another reviewer mentioned, this really opens up the space and makes it seems very spacious. This layout has a great kitchen with a long breakfast bar where I have four stools, and a great sized eating area with a ceiling fan and window. Appliances are newer, if not brand new. I love my range which includes a griddle. There is ample storage in the kitchen and elsewhere including a great space under my stairs. The living room has great bay windows, so natural light is plentiful. The windows are supposed to help with sound, but I have yet to experience this. I have drafts and can hear people outside very clearly. There is also a very loud group of kids that roam around that I "enjoy" daily, lol. Too bad there's no playground for them. These are the original windows, so I'm sure noise levels vary by rental. Grounds are okay. The roads are being repaved, which is nice. There is a lot of nice greenery but often a fair amount of litter, at least in my area. VIP trash pick up was just started. All in all, people are generally nice, although I wish my neighbors were quieter. Pets are allowed. For the price (add $120 for fees, internet, cable (latter two both optional at $20 each)) and location, you can't really go wrong. Staff is nice and know you by name, and maintenance comes pretty quickly. Outside of some noise, I'm happy to be here and would recommend!
I have been living at Indian Creek Apartments for a little over a year now, and overall I would say it is a nice place to live. My apartment is on the second floor so I am lucky enough to have a vaulted ceiling in my kitchen and living room space as well as a skylight, which really helps to make the space feel bigger. My neighbors are friendly without being nosy, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet overall. This past summer they have invested in fixing some damaged sidewalk sections and repairing potholes, which increases the overall appeal of the community. It is also convenient to the freeway and shopping which is nice. If you are looking for an affordable apartment in Reynoldsburg, make sure you take a look at Indian Creek!
Beautiful and friendly place to live. Where do I begin? It's my very first apartment and I'm so glad I chose this place. The staff and the support staff are so friendly and helpful. Things are done in a very timely matter. Pets are welcomed with open arms. My dog loves this place too! It's sits right off a walking path that I use to go walk my dog or run. There's also a park named Civic Park that's very easy to access as it is less than half a mile to get there, it's huge! One of my favorite holidays is Independence Day because Reynoldsburg blasts the fireworks at Civic Park and it's practically in my back yard, I get the best view! My neighbors are very friendly and welcoming. My parents even love this place and they are hardcore skeptics. I highly recommend. Definitely deserves every star!
I have lived here now for 3 years and it has been nothing but the best since I've moved in! Office staff know you by first name, send you cards on your birthday and even can remember where you work! Most of my family can't even remember my birthday or where I work. Parking is not assigned but there is ample parking. Also there are garages which are able for rent. The pool is open during its season and there are always friendly faces laying out soaking up the sun. Maintenance usually comes by and fixes the problem with in a week or so. If your looking for a friendly, not to noisy, pet friendly place to rent where everyone knows your name (literally) I would recommend moving here.
My family and I have been living here for just about a year. Over all the experience has been pretty satisfactory, but as with most apartment communities there are little intricacies that can be challenging. Parking can be a bit of an issue sometimes, especially for me as I tend to work odd shifts at a hospital- when I get home all the spaces close to my section are taken. That's the only real problem though. The staff are helpful and very friendly, and they always know who you are and which unit you live in! I've never had that in any other apartment community I've lived in. My neighbors are nice and the community is pretty family friendly. All told, it's a pretty nice place to live!
I love living at indian creek apartments! We have been here for going on three years and I barely have any thing negative to say! If we have a problem that needs to be fixed, the staff fixes it usually within the same day! Kristin is a FANTASTIC person and keeps these apartments running at their best! It is truly a great location and a great place to call your new home!
Don't look any farther to find a home. We moved here expecting to stay 1-2 years, but then the impossible happened, complete happiness. I give Indian Creek 5 stars. This is a quiet, clean, safe community. The office manager is Kristin who is an amazing woman. She definitely goes above and beyond for all of us living here. I have never met such an open, honest, friendly, professional apartment manager as her. She really offers the best community with her personality. The atmosphere she provides is the reason we have stayed here year after year and will continue to do so. The maintenance staff is awesome. Justin is the friendliest maintenance member I have ever run across. He is quick, efficient, and always smiling. Greets everyone as he passes. He is a complete professional and never has made us feel bad for needing anything fixed. Very rarely does anything in my apt needs fixed because he takes pride in doing the job right the first time. A perfect place for a family with activities happening all the time. Professional landscaping and snow removal (most important with the snow we had for winter 2013-2014). Safety has never been an issue here, I am comfortable in the parking lots whether its 4pm or 3am in the morning. I work all different shifts and always am comfortable traveling around the complex. Pets are welcome here. There is a clubhouse, pool and tennis courts, close to the park, and shopping is convenient to get to. Lots of stores and restaurants to go to. We can see the Reynoldsburg fireworks from our lawn. Different floor plans to choose from, we have a 2 bed 2 bath garden apartment with bay windows. The floor layout is great and open. Most importantly I always LOVE to come home!
This is by far the BEST apartment complex I've ever lived in! The complex itself is small, but I have lived in big complexes too, and there, you are just a number. Here, the staff know you by name! The head of maintenance, Justin, is just the absolute best - timely and knows how to do his job very very well. Kristin is the property manager, and she has done everything for me to be content and happy living here. We have conversations on the regular and I treat her more like a friend, forgetting she's my property manager. I've lived here for 2 years now and I love it. The community is close and have little parties regularly in the main building. We know when someone should not be here! We all keep a close eye on each other, looking out for one another. I can let our daughter play outside and feel at peace that she is safe. A local church holds their worship and little events in the main building, and they do a lot for the children. The 'neighborhood', as we call it, is quiet and our neighbors are lovely. The landscaping is always well-maintained and quite scenic. I hope that they fix the net on the tennis court soon. The laundry room is quite small, with only four machines and four dryers, but in the apartments, there are washer/dryer hook-ups. Then again, it is a small complex with only about 150 units (I believe), so it wouldn't make much sense to have a huge laundry facility. I like the fact that there isn't a lot of resident turn-around because it means the tenants have been around a long time, showing that the complex is well-maintained and people actually WANT to stay here. The only thing that I do not care for is the fact that the back patio of our apartment (by the road Daughtry) faces the section 8 apartment complex The Post Woods. TERRIBLE. The police are over there constantly and they can be loud, disruptive. The children/teenagers from there walk through Indian Creek and think they have access to our pool. This past year though (2013), there has been Lisa, the pool monitor. If you do not have a pool pass (given to you upon your lease-signing from Kristin), you DO NOT go to the pool, you do not stay at the pool. An associate of Indian Creek will kick out trespassers. Indian Creek is not responsible for The Post Woods, this I understand, but be forewarned if you rent an apartment with your back door facing The Post Woods. Now, back to the good stuff :) Indian Creek is seconds from Broad Street, where you can easily reach 270. Reynoldsburg/Pickerington are minutes from Indian Creek. Easton Towne Center is about 15 minutes from Indian Creek. One of the best locations around Indian Creek is the minutes walk to Civic Park - it's right behind the complex, past a few neighborhood streets. There is a playground, soccer fields, basketball courts, a community garden, softball fields, a large running/walking path around the park, and open fields for my dog to run through after our walk. All in all, I have nothing bad to say about Indian Creek. It is by far the best apartment complex you could ask for, and you are lucky if you get an apartment here! To me, this little neighborhood is my HOME!
