Tehachapi is a small, secluded city located about 35 miles southeast of Bakersfield and 45 miles north of Lancaster along Highway 58. The community is perched high in the namesake Tehachapi Mountains, the boundary between the San Joaquin Valley and the Mojave Desert, with the rugged surrounding landscape providing beautiful scenery.
The city center is decorated with beautifully preserved vintage signs and marquees, giving the community a timeless character. While somewhat isolated from neighboring communities, Amtrak service from Tehachapi Station makes it easier to get around without having to drive, with the ride to Bakersfield only taking about an hour.

I lived here for two years, my first apartment, and the apartment manager was great with answering any questions I had and it was very clean. It was a nice quiet area close to everything in town. I would absolutely recommend!
This place is great. I've been here a little over 4 months and have been loving it. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. I would say that the only real "noise" is from the children playing, but I find those kind of background sounds comforting. Management and staff are friendly and responsive, they truly care about the community and residents.

I lived there for almost 2 years; the newest manager is responsive and gets work done. The units are getting updated and there is always enough parking. The apartments are a large and comfortable. I only moved, because my plan was to buy a house.

I have lived in the Indian creek apartments for eight months now.The apartment complex was very nice and neat, the landscaping was great and the grounds were clean.whenever there is a problem as far as maintenance or things that need to be fixed I was met with prompt service! I am enjoying my stay! Management makes my stay pleasurable!

Pet friendly, quiet, fast repairs. We have been here for a year now and love these apartments. We are upstairs and have experienced no big issues. A light switch went out and they fixed it immediately. Rent is resonable and property management is lovely. Walking distance from many stores.There are downsides of no AC, so it gets warm in the summer and laundry is on site but pricey. Overall I would recommend these apartments!
I am a retired mail carrier who moved to Tehachapi from Santa Clarita to find affordable living. The Indian Creek Villas have provided me with a peaceful place to enjoy my retirement. The management could not be more accommodating and the apartments are located conveniently near shopping and restaurants. I recommend this complex very highly.
I've lived here for a month. My heating system did not work but maintenance had it up and running in two hours! New carpeting, immediate response from maintenance and the manager. I'm glad I'm here and this is a grea place for families and singles!
Great location next to grocery stores, gasoline station and mail services. They had made great improvements outside and inside the apartments. If you can't see the apartments on the weekdays. The new property manager can do appointment only on the weekends.
The apartments need some work, cupboard doors don't close all the way, drawers can only open half way or else they fall out, some of the electrical sockets don't work, no air but have central heat which doesn't make sense at all. The blinds are cheap, come flying off when it's just a tad windy, and it's very windy here. I'm down to about half my blinds being on. An exercise room has been in the works for at least 5 months, she only has someone working on it once or twice a month. The manager is horrible, has tenants do all her work for her, is not easy to work with at all. Gives 3 day notices when your not even late with rent. She charged me late rent once and a three day notice when she was gone, and had the envelope hole closed up because there were people working in her office. I'm not sure how I should be charged late rent and given a three day notice when it was her fault I couldn't even give it to her. Can't wait to get out of this place and mainly away from Susan, the manager.
