Property Ratings at Indiana Village
I've lived here for 3 years. I would warn students & families especially to stay away from Indiana village. If you are someone who has to study a lot or enjoys the quiet, this neighborhood is extremely loud and people are always blasting their music. Keep in mind that there are no washer and dryer connections, only laundry facilities. The girl who lives above me had a washer & dryer in her apartment and caused my apartment to flood 3 times. She was told by management that if she is caught with a washer again, she’ll be evicted. Well she was caught & is still not evicted. Know that there is a chance your property will be damaged and you will have to pay for the damages. It’s better to pay extra for peace of mind. Don’t compromise peace for wanting to save money. My neighbor's home was broken into, they broke his window and entered from his bedroom window which is not even a meter away from my bedroom window. Also, many times I was woken up from my sleep due to loud gunshots. It's so loud that you can hear the echoes afterward. It’s not worth it to rent here. I was also looking to save, but its better to pay an extra 100-200$ for a nice, safe, clean, and quiet place. I won’t be resigning my lease & tell all my colleagues looking for an apartment by Tech that this please isn’t worth it. Management & maintenance are kind, but there isn’t much management can do it seems. Not worth staying here.
They raise prices on you they don’t give u ur log in and jus make random charges they have rats and roaches pest control come once every year valet trash are supposed to come around but they don’t pay 25 dollars for that maintenance doesn’t do nothing but ride on golf carts

When we moved here it was not cleaned before hand. Everything is extremely outdated and we have to put in several work orders a month for appliances to work. It’s decent place to live, but also just. Awful at the same time. If I could insert pictures I would; this site doesn’t allow me to do that. It’s really not worth it, look somewhere else.
My apartment was decently cleaned when i moved in, a few tears in the wall but needless to say while staying there i have grown to love my little apartment. Maintenance is really good about getting things done, the staffing is amazing, clean units, and peaceful neighbors.
My apt wasn't completely cleaned as I moved in. I found items from previous tenant. It was very hot,ac wasn't working. But during our stay,it was quiet and we had great neighbors
Living at Indiana Village is an excellent and amazing place to live. If looking for a first apartment this is the place to stay. Its a great environment and great community.
I'm a tech student who also works at the hospital, so the location is great plus the bus to tech is nice. I like my neighbors, all sweet and nice. The apartment is cute (1 bed 1 bath), not luxury but totally livable. I am deathly afraid of roaches and there are some in the summer time, so that is a downside. Only found them in the kitchen though. I had a few things not work when I moved in but fixed by the maintenance who were super sweet and friendly. And about the people complaining about maintenance, just call them and leave a voicemail or check in the front desk and they'll remind the guys. They work hard every day, so have some leniency. It only took tops 1 day to get my stuff fixed. Windows are very thin, so you can hear outside pretty easily and so get nice curtains to keep the place from getting too hot. The AT&T guy is kind of creepy and flirted a lot when I just wanted wifi and messed up on some things, but great wifi! Another thing is fees (trash pickup, package security etc) which is unavoidable, so I just go ahead and use it. As a girl living alone, my neighbors are trustworthy, so I feel safe except when the college guys throw parties, but if I get kidnapped, the windows in every apartment is so thin, somebody would hear me. The laundry rooms are clean except on busy days when irresponsible neighbors don't clean up after themselves. There is no gym either or free wifi. Nice feature is the deadbolt which can be only opened from the inside, so you don't have to worry about random people coming in. No problems with hot water, stoves are great, A/C keeps my apartment freezing cold, and just a nice place to come home to. Overall, great apartment for students and people who need a place to stay. Hope this helps! xoxo btw management is so nice and friendly! Love Ashily and the lady who is the manager!
When I moved in it was filthy. Not only was it dirty the door was not even locked. When I first got there the dish washer didnt work and I told them. It is still broken. I had a leak in the bathroom sink. Just thought someone should know the pictures on the website are nothing like what you see when you move it. It is not that clean.
If you are a student at Tech, this is the best place to live in. This is very family friendly. Because of the COVID situation, things are not normal. But I highly recommend this property to live in.
nice clean complex at a good price....just stop all of the "extra fees"no one likes that in my opinion
Roaches, EXTREMELY dirty laundry room, specific work requests that were on the move in form were never performed, missing carpet, mold in shower, trash over flowing into parking lot, the grass never gets mowed. Ive lived in apartments closer to campus/ avenue Q that werent even this bad. Considering paying the pay out amount just to get out of this apartment.
Cheap but you get what you pay for except for the added fees they are not worth it
I have been here 3 months and I am very happy to be here I would recommended Indiana Village in a heartbeat
On my 2nd year at complex. I really have had one issue. Took 4 months to get coat closet doors when I moved in
My husband and i lived at Indiana Village for almost 2 years. The experience we had there, I would not wish that on any human being. It may seem like a good deal moving here. It’s not expensive at first, but when you look at all you have to pay for in fees it’s extremely overpriced. Especially if you live in the smallest apartment. There is no workout room. The photo on here is a very old photo and the workout room is now a storage room for maintenance. The walls in the apartment (at least the one we lived in) are very thin. And if you have loud neighbors? Good luck getting them to be quiet. The property managers won’t help you with that. We had no AC for almost 30 days in the middle of the summer and we couldn’t even stay in our apartment some nights because of how hot it was. The maintenance didn’t even know what to do and how to fix our AC. Even after it was replaced it still messed up and we didn’t have AC some nights and they wouldn’t fix it. They never came and replaced anything when we moved in because they barely have a maintenance crew. It’s basically just a couple guys that only work on the emergency things and not the non-essential stuff. Oh and if they do come to your apartment for a work order they will not tell you they’re coming. They will just show up and come in your apartment. Please. If you must live here, just know these things. We thought it was a good deal and it was not. The property managers will not take care of you. The laundry rooms are disgusting, there is no amenities and the neighborhood is not great. I hope in the future they will change and this comment will mean nothing but right now all of this I have said is true.
Very nice community, everyone is friendly and respects everyone's privacy. Staff and maintenance are amazing and tend to needs in a respectable time frame.
great place to live
Everything has been great and everyone has been very nice and helpful
Haven't had any issues this place has been a good choice for me. I have no pest issues which I find funny another review listed a problem. Let them know and they should take care of you. As a matter of fact they have a pest company don't remember the name but worth it. Spacious closets and awesome location for my att job
I have lived here during 2014-2015. The AC and heater didn't work. (I had to wear jacket all winter) First I arrived, the carpet was not cleaned and I had skin problem because of that. I can go on and go on.... Just DO NOT rent an apt from here.
Live here for two year ,love it its great people are great here they make you feel like family always doing something for the residents here.its quit ,no problems since i moved here, just love it here,.
Indiana Village was built in the 1980's and looks like it. It's in a good location, close to my job and my daughter's school. The rent would be fair if there wasn't a roach problem that the owners are unwilling or unable to rectify. If they would keep rent rates closer to the move in specials and not raise them to "market rates" when the complex isn't market comparable. There are two pools that are dirty more than they are clean, good laundry facilities, back logged work orders, and a poor gym. Besides the roaches, with sporadic severity, Indiana Village is a decent place to live if you have a lower income and can deal with roommates (roaches) that don't help pay rent.
