Property Ratings at Indigo Springs
I currently live in one of the units at Indigo Springs, and unfortunately, my family and I are having the worst living experience we’ve ever had in Washington state. There is a severe lack of care toward the residents and the overall condition of the property. We’ve experienced ongoing issues with maintenance and security, including property invasions and difficulty resolving problems. Since moving in, we’ve dealt with unstable internet, a homeless person sleeping around the condominium and leaving belongings behind, and multiple break-ins and thefts from our mailbox. Maintenance response times are far too long, often taking 3 to 4 days. Additionally, trash, clothes, and personal items are regularly scattered throughout the property, and the common areas like the garage and landscaping are visibly neglected. I sincerely hope the management and maintenance teams will address these problems and improve the living conditions here.
This apartment complex is super nice on the inside, but the leasing office staff is so horrible and parking is ridiculous! They lied to us when we moved in, they promised things they could not actually provide. There’s absolutely no parking, and the office did not even offer an initial parking space and my roommate ended up getting towed. 500 dollars!!!!
The maintenance just come in without a notice. The property managers don’t respect the tenants wishes even though you’re paying them and they have attitude problems and are not professional AT ALL. Don’t move here !!
Ive lived at indigo springs for the last 4 years and the staff is very polite and willing to help where they can, ive never had to file any complaint during my time here which i am still a current resident. The maintenance crew do a great job of keeping the grounds clean and its located near a ton of great restaurants and grocery stores and its a short drive to both Kent station and the Landing. I would recommend Indigo Springs to anyone looking for a comfortable place to call home.
My cousin suffered so much from this company since she's moved to this apartment (no oven, ref loud, heater doesnt heat, locks not on safety accepted, etc.) Charged her 700$ more per month (compared to a similar apartment a few doors down from her in the same complex. Sent her a letter she can be released from her lease if she removes her online comments that were negative. She was just stating facts and can prove her claim) Feel so bad for her and her kids.
My bff was promised an upgraded unit and charged top dollars, new company gave her a place in poor state (no heater, no oven, dryer do not work, ref old and groans 24/7, etc etc). After time money energy spent on driving back and forth, keeping two units as this unit still has no heater (to this day, they're still using space heaters: PM supposed to bring sensors to prove heaters work but they never brought sensors), this PM do not care. Maintenance person does no call no show to weekend appointments, tells her "she's costing company money; condescending, rude and lies. (He also took videos of her unit without expressed consent by owner. They then give a ten day harrassment notice after she complains of being harrased (retaliation). Her car gets towed because of being given the wrong parking space by PM, and then they have their lawyer write her a letter to move out as she's not happy. Oh and btw, told her to get out of her lease, she needs to remove negative online comments (if any). Quid pro quo. Do not rent here please. Save your kids the hassle of poor apartment living and stress from dealing with people who pretend to care, but really only see dollar signs.
I came home from work at 4:40pm on Monday, April 15, 2019 and found notices on all of our doors. 48 Hour Notice Of Entry! Checking Fireplaces! We're coming in beginning at 9am Tuesday, April 16, 2019. And they came in, on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Seems like it's against the law - not that they care. Or maybe they can't tell time. Counting all the way up to 48 is really hard! Anyone see the problem? Their version of 48 hours at best 24 hours of notice. Effectively, it was less than 16 hours of notice to me. And the kicker? Please move all your stuff out of the way ahead of time. Don't pay any attention to the small print at the bottom stating notice posted on April 10, 2019. That's not a thing to be concerned with at all. They have zero respect for us. They treat us like we're their property. They will lie to cover up their negligence.
Today is April 12, 2019. Indigo Spring mgmt (ISM) has a towing company moving (towing?) vehicles that are in otherwise their own dedicated parking spaces. 2nd day in a row. ISM is refreshing fire lane curbs – but who knew? I was able to stop them from towing my car, but others were not so lucky. I have ZERO notification/knowledge of this project. No flyers, no mail, no email. I keep it all, and I’ve searched key terms like “auto” “car” “vehicle” “paint” “curb” and nothing of import comes up. I called the office yesterday and as typical had to leave a message - that was 24 hrs ago and still no response. Any notice would have sufficed: post mail, email, door flyer, phone call/voice mail, come talk to me. Think long and hard before choosing to move into The Nightmare on Indigo Street: (1) There is no street parking close by. You might have to walk upwards of a mile or more if you are forced to park on the street. Not at all convenient. (2) Parking is already difficult here with very few guest spaces (which require a permit from the mgmt office to use). (3) As evidenced today the mgmt here doesn't care 1 iota about your (the customer) experience and is willing to just tow your vehicle when it suits them to do so. I watched them drag front wheel vehicles against their front tires - I can't imagine what that does to the drive trains, but my guess is it's not good. Would anyone have told me? What if they dinged my car in the process? Would they have fessed up? Would they have taken responsibility and paid for damages or would they have just not said nothing and moved on with their day? There was ZERO mgmt oversight this morning (same as yesterday) – Just Lynn’s Towing company towing cars, and 1 construction guy with an orange vest walking around putting orange cones out once vehicles were towed away. I can’t imagine that either one was paying too close attention to any possible damage they could have caused, and not having anyone from Indigo Springs overseeing I can’t imagine they would particularly care. I don't want anyone touching my car, ever.
Terrible customer service, and they impound cars that are legally parked just to paint the spots we are paying for. This is unacceptable as they are not paying the fees and they reference a single paper notice they gave us.

It took them 12 days to fix my water heater. I moved out 2 months ago and they haven't returned my deposit. They keep saying the check is in the mail. Parking is nonexistent. These guys MUST be completing their own reviews because the tenants are NOT happy
Ok can I just talk about the PARKING. They keep saying they're going to fix the problem, but the issue has remained the same for years, if not gotten worse. For the price I pay to live here I should not have to pay extra to park my car. How about, next time instead of building an awkward "premier" apartment complex smack dab in the middle of all our "regular" apartments, you could turn that into extra parking. Living here puts extra stress on your everyday decisions. There have been countless times I've said "Hey! I think I'm gonna go out tonight and have a good time for once!... oh wait but then I'll lose my parking spot.. never mind then." When you get towed their solutions are to buy a place to park, or telling you to TRY to park legally. Well that's NOT POSSIBLE if there is no OPTION to park legally. They tell you to park outside of the complex that we LIVE IN, risking us getting towed again from other local businesses. They have visitors passes but have not notified any tenants, because their friends at the towing company are making money off of us. And they do not compensate their tenants for their OWN issues that they constantly fail to fix. It's also noisy. Almost every day at 2am this car blasting the same awful mainstream rock music drives around the apartment complex, sometimes for hours, looking for a parking spot. That one is regular, but not the only car that decides it's a good idea to do that while people are trying to sleep. Disrespectful neighbors, couples fighting, kids screaming, old people yelling at the kids for screaming, I can never just sit on my balcony and RELAX. The thing that really "grinded my gears" though, is their complete lack of security. When I got locked out of my apartment, I told them which apartment I lived in, and the lady just gave me a key. No ID or cell phone to hold, she didn't even ask my name. I told her the apartment number and she went into the back and gave me access. I don't know about you, but that doesn't make me feel the slightest bit safe. They should know better, especially when tenants are complaining to them about their cars being stolen or apartments burglarized. The whole complex lacks surveillance cameras, despite the constant criminal activity. When your car gets broken into in the parking lot, the apartment "officer" will say he'll get there hours after you explained your issue, or in my case, just not show up at all. Rant over. Moral of the story: stay away, far away.
I absolutely love my apartment. Its reasonably priced, there's always parking, and matenience is always done quickly. Its located off of a main road which makes it super easy to find and near Safeway, Rite Aid pharmacy, a gas station, a Starbucks, and much more. Its pet friendly and there is plenty of space to take your dog out for a walk, my only complaint is that other residents don't clean up very well after their dogs. (Which I've told management and their workingworking on a solution) Speaking of management, the office is located on site and everyone is super friendly and helpful. There's also an outdoor pool/hottub and a gym room. Great place, great amenities, great people.
