Outer North Charleston sits at the center of the city of North Charleston and lies just under 13 miles to the northwest of nearby downtown Charleston. An easy 20-minute drive via Interstate 26 takes residents into downtown Charleston and its multitude of restaurants and bars. Management just changed over and it has already been a thousand times better! I moved in at the end of June and had immediate minor maintenance requests. They were ignored since the end of August. With the new management, they have already made huge strides. The new maintenance director, Justin, went above and beyond! He came and addressed everything after hours, adjusting to my schedule and needs! Everything that was put off for two months was fixed in the matter of minutes! The complex is beautiful and quiet, and with the changes the new management has implemented, the complex is only getting better. Thanks Justin and leasing team!

I'm sorry to say that living here has taken an unpleasant turn over the last few months. The overall quality of the community has suffered a decline. What was once a quiet place with mostly military and professional residents has turned into a place where it's not uncommon to have loud and vulgar music at unacceptable volumes coming from both apartments and parked cars, people speeding through the property oblivious to the presence of children, or folks walking their dogs, and loud obnoxious neighbors and/or their guests making ridiculous levels of noise in the stairwells at all times of the day or night. Management seems unable or unwilling to address these concerns and it's really hurting the chance that I'll be renewing my lease, which is coming up very soon. I would hope that a negative review on this site would serve as a wakeup call, but I somehow doubt this will make a dent after repeated requests to do something about the situation here.
Staff is friendly and worked quickly to take care of my requests. The location is close to everything. Grounds were well maintained and would recommend any one to live here.

The amenities are sub par for the money you pay. The gates never work. There is always trash piled up around the dumpster. If this was just it I would give it 3 stars. The rude manager bumped it down to a 1 star. I did not enjoy having to go the front for any reason because of this.

My husband and I have never lived in a community that is so nice to live at. They do events for the residents to show them how much is appreciated and always make you feel great to live here. Staff is incredibly nice and hard working to keep you happy. Love this Place!!!! You will love living here.

My husband and I have been living at Ingleside Plantation for over a year. The office staff members are very helpful and maintenance guys are by far the best we have ever experienced. The complex is well maintained and in a great location right off I-26.

Unless you live in a unit in the back corner, the parking will be horrible. Don't bother buying a car port because everyone will park there and the management will do nothing about it. The gates are broken and left open 90% of the time. Entering and leaving this property from the main street is horrible. Be prepared to waste at least 10 minutes in the morning trying to get out of the property. The apartment's website/portal is down most of the time, but when it is up, the maintenance tool is only thing that is useful. If your rent is late, the management will not give you a curtesy call or email. They will just wait until your grace period is over and then let you know that your rent is late after they charge you the fee. The apartment itself is pretty good and the layouts are not too bad either.

We are sorry to hear you are not pleased with Ingleside Plantation. Your feedback is valuable and extremely important to us. We strive for superior resident services and genuinely want all of our residents to be proud to call Ingleside Plantation home. From our experience, parking near your building can be challenging, particularly late at night, at any highly occupied community. Our security patrol conducts nightly inspections of our property and notes that there are parking spaces available. Furthermore, we are pleased to be able to offer residents private covered parking spaces as well as garages. Once a space is rented, we provide tow warning tags to residents and will tow unauthorized vehicles once notified. Also, our security patrol will be happy to address any parking issues after office hours. The vehicle access gates are currently operating properly. Regrettably, there are times when the gates are in need of repair. As a friendly reminder, no security system is failsafe as they are subject to malfunction, tampering, and human error. We agree traffic can be busy during the mornings and evenings. Though, uniquely, we have the privilege of being located less than 0.5 miles from the I-26 on ramp allowing us to avoid some of Charleston’s hectic rush hour traffic. Our resident portal was implemented this year and like most new technology it came with some growing pains. To date our resident portal is operating smoothly and we are pleased you find the maintenance request tool helpful. If you are still experiencing technical difficulties please contact a member of our office staff as we are always glad to assist. As with most rental agreements, it is the resident’s duty to ensure rent is paid by the first of each month. Ingleside Plantation offers a grace period through the fifth of each month to accommodate any special situations that may arise. In addition, our online resident portal offers an automatic payment feature for your convenience. Due to the large number of residents at our community it isn’t always possible for us to provide a reminder. Lastly, we are happy that you enjoy your apartment interior and layout.
