We are Inspire Downtown, although you may know us as Vistana. If you know us, you know we’re not quite like the rest. We now have a new look and a new name that reflects the culture of downtown San Antonio and the community we love. So, say hello to Inspire Downtown. It’s a change we can all feel inspired about! One of the best apartment complexes I’ve ever rented. View is amazing, staff is attentive and complex is very clean and welcoming. There is always parking available and maid service is optional.

Leasing and maintenance staff have always been great since I moved in but things like the change in parking system have become an issue. The inability to have guests visit the property without paying even with a discounted price of $6.00 is ridiculous. There have been numerous residents that moved to Inspire because of someone they visited on the property. It is also not ideal to require guest payment without another solution like an allowance for parking validations as done before. The community consists of young professionals and retired individuals in the downtown area. It only makes sense to make use of the beautiful building and views to enjoy and host. Not to mention situations we now have to take into consideration such as parking for pet sitters, family visiting for the holidays, etc.

I’ve been here for quite awhile now(a few years), and I’m still loving it. The people are still cool and down to earth, the staff is great, the elevators are still working, and my security hasn’t been infringed on at all.

Love it here! Staff is wonderful and all of the residents are friendly. Fantastic pool view. Easy access to every major highway. Can get to almost anywhere in the city in 30 minutes or less.

fun, the construction everywhere kinda sucks but overall not bad! Gate is always malfunctioning and there’s maintenance issues but theyre usually pretty quick to fix it

Inspire downtown is the perfect place for downtown living! Restaurants are within walking distance. Riverwalk is just around the corner. Market Square is across the street. Front row seats for all of the parades! I absolutely love living at Inspire Downtown!

Michelle was beyond helpful and kind. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome. I had a very stressful move and she made it easier. Just her hospitality alone had this place at the top of my list of places to consider. After moving in, I instantly appreciated how quiet and respectful my neighbors were. I never hear anyone being absurdly loud and I actually rarely hear the street noise. The apartment itself is very nice. Maintenance is pretty quick in response to work orders. The amenities are always clean and well kept. I do wish the gym had more equipment variety but it’s still really nice. I love the security this complex offers. Being downtown is a little daunting but this place is very secure and it’s much appreciated. The food around here is great. Nothing like having a taco truck at every corner. The trash chutes are always clean and smell free. The elevators are quick and clean as well. The amount of sunlight I get has to be one of my favorite things!

Great complex, friendly neighbors and staff. The parking garage often has issues with the entry/exit systems. The keypad at the exterior lobby is broken and new residents cannot be added to the directory.

I wish we had more event, the construction is so annoying, and having our guest to have to pay for parking is inconvenient. The most annoying thing is how other people do not clean up after their own pet in the elevator.

I've lived at Inspire Downtown for two years and I love it. Clean, safe, friendly and they really take care of their tenants. Love the social events they sponsor every chance they get. Love the great coffee they have available on the first floor! Really enjoy living across the street from the Market Square. It's always a party going on over there. Love the San Antonio downtown life!

I would recommend that anyone looking to live here to an on site tour. This is a place that is needing to update most apartments. Appliances are bare minimum too.

Aside from the incredibly spacious units, the staff along with the community is outstanding, and there are numerous benefits and amenities that add to the priceless views. The move-in process has been mostly seamless and I've received extremely timely and invaluable support when needed, not to mention a promo gift card and Roomba that sweetened the deal (and ultimately helped aid my decision making). All my questions have been answered as fast as possible, even when staff were preoccupied with other tasks, they made an effort to handle any concerns.

I’ve lived at Inspire for nearly 3 years and I’m so happy being here. The office staff are amazing (Tammie, Suede, Michelle, and Tiaj). They listen to you and are attentive to all your needs. The maintenance/house-keeping staff are also great (Gabriel, Hector and Monica). In the summer, I can’t get enough of the pool, and the hot tub when the weather cools off. The property is always clean and free of clutter. It’s super pet friendly with adorable fur babies coming and going all day. I appreciate all the social events like happy hour, pizza parties and live music. If you’re apartment hunting, look no further. This is the place you want to call home. -Trent

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend anyone moving here without a proper inspection of the apartment they are getting ready to lease. The leasing team is amazing, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the city. However, the property owners are prioritizing their establishment on a budget. Cheap appliances, cheap toilets and cheap amenities. The shades in all their apartments have paint on them from the cheap renovation work and instead of replacing them, they let it be your problem. It's unprofessional and dirty looking to leave them. The concrete walls are not thick enough to drown out noises. They allow barking dogs that will bark all day long. The windows and outdated and noise from the city rips through them like a freight train. If you are a light sleeper, good luck. I have several friends that are project managers for real estate companies, and their exact words were "this was a low budget job". I would have avoided this place if I could do it all over again.

We love our Inspire community & living right in the middle of what downtown has to offer. Ex. Good restaurants, lots of happy hour places to meet with friends & lots of places of interest to visit. As I write this (midday Thursday) I'm still waiting for an update on when maintenance will be responding to a request I placed on Monday. It is a small item, not an emergency, but it is important to me. It is clearly not important to management and staff, as three times I've requested follow through to no avail. I first moved into The Vistana in 2011 and was so proud of my new home. The front office & maintenance teams were outstanding -- professional, friendly, responsive. They knew the tenants on sight and always managed a word or wave or smile. It felt special to live here. It was a community in the true sense of the word. Last year I complained that I had stopped receiving community notifications via email (it had always been this way) and I was told it would be looked into. I inquired again in the Spring, to same result. Mine are not major complaints but I feel they are symptomatic of a more general managerial malaise or apathy. Being repeatedly told, "I'm sorry but ..." with no corrective action then taken is akin to being told to buzz off. Actually I'd prefer the latter -- it's more genuine. I thought I would live here until the day I die here. Maybe I still will, if I pass soon enough. But now I'm looking for new accommodations, something unimaginable not that long ago. Other assorted thoughts: * It's still a fine building in a great location; * just dreadful paint job in halls/doorways -- amateur hour stuff; * parking garage changes have not been positive; * prior to big changes -- ie, the building name change -- community feedback is never solicited; * my utility cost has been lower here than anywhere else in Texas I've lived; * important amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, wifi café, etc) seem to sit out of commission longer than is necessary; I expect whoever from Greystar posts on these reviews as "Owner" will post on this one too, offering "concern" and vowing to "pass it on" to the management team (where my words will go to die). Then nothing else will happen, nothing will change. Note: it's really not a 1-star property. But this is how I feel after being repeatedly blown off by property staff. Perception becomes reality. Inspire is great. Apartments are well-built and comfortable. Amenities are very nice. Location is convenient to downtown activities, but also to the highways if you need to commute out of the city. Residents are a mix of all ages, and there is a tone of fun with mutual respect. But the on-site staff puts it over the top. Some of them live here too, and the whole team treat the building like it's their own home and the residents like they are their favorite neighbors. Great combination of people and place.

I lived at 100 N Santa Rosa for about five years. "The Vistana" was an enviable place to live in downtown San Antonio. It still can be, but so far, "Inspire Downtown" has not lived up to the same standards. The community has seen some recent updates, some of which are really nice (and were needed). Others have been a real "swing and a miss". The management and maintenance teams are generally good, but don't seem to appreciate how great a place like this CAN be, and take pride in that, as their predecessors did. They're perfectly nice, though, and probably on a par with other apartment managers in the city. Some of the changes they (or the new owners) have brought, though, have been a real pain. One of the key competitive advantages that The Vistana had over its downtown competition was ample, hassle-free garage space for residents AND guests. There still is a big garage there, but its usefulness for residents & guests has been significantly restricted, regardless of how the residents openly felt about it. (Imagine having an unlimited data plan for your phone, and then Verizon tells you "well we've decided that you really just need 10GB per month, so that's what you get now. Also we're going to make it just a little bit more of a hassle to use from now on. Oh, and the price is still the same for you, even though we're going to be making a profit from this. K, thanks!") The community as a whole just doesn't feel any better, or any worse, than any other downtown San Antonio community now. Any sense of prestige seems to have left along with the name "The Vistana". And the way some detrimental changes have been forced upon residents makes me nervous about what else might be forced, and whether I could recommend living there to any friends who really value being treated with dignity and respect, rather than as just another revenue stream who needs to be placated. In short, if you really value living in a high-rise, and having nice city views, then there really is nothing wrong with picking "Inspire Downtown". And if you don't know what it used to be like living there, then you also will probably not be disappointed with what it's like living there now. Otherwise, though, there are plenty of other nice, newer apartment communities in the downtown area, at around the same price-point, and with similar pros and cons. Take your pick.

I HATE this place and would never recommend it to anyone! This is the most money I have spent on an apartment and it is by far the worst I have ever lived in! Internet is ridiculously slow, things break constantly and it takes maintenance ages to respond to requests. Walls are paper thin and we can hear everything going on next door and all the construction on the next block over. Charge guests parking fee when they come over and we have to walk all the way down to the garage just to let them in or out. Cannot wait to move out!!!

I love living at Inspire Downtown. The management is excellent. They are always looking for ways to improve the quality of life here. I'm particularly impressed by the way they go beyond expectations on keeping the property as clean as possible because of Covid19.
