Property Ratings at Inverness Cliffs
Regrettably, my two-year experience at this apartment complex has been disappointing, particularly due to the subpar property management. Despite assurances that the units are thoroughly inspected before move-in, my apartment was in unsatisfactory condition. The management's responses to queries are marked by uncertainty, and communication is often unclear. The ‘gated community' proved to be a false claim when my car was stolen, highlighting lax security measures. The gates, initially left unlocked during the incident, were sporadically secured, and obtaining surveillance footage was impossible due to nonexistent cameras around the property. Renewing the lease presented another issue as we never received the necessary paperwork or notifications. Consequently, we were automatically subjected to a market rate increase without prior notice. The resolution process for this matter was cumbersome, with only one helpful staff member. In summary, I would caution anyone considering this complex; the property management is unreliable, and security measures are lacking. Communication and transparency need improvement. Maintenance is awful, they close requests without addressing the issue. Pools filthy and not maintained, frequent lengthy pool closures. Broken appliances left outside in front of apartments. Internet reception spotty. Valet trash intermittent.
I've lived in 2 separate apartments here over the span of 4 years, 3 in 1 and 1 in another. I had no idea how lucky I was that my neighbor of 3 years was a quiet fellow. After moving into a larger apartment here I quickly learned how thin the walls and ceilings are. I can hear my next door neighbors talking through my living room wall, and my upstairs neighbors making all sorts of noise especially around night time. It's infuriating having no quiet place of your own, especially in an area as beautiful as the facilities. I moved somewhere with trees and nature to try and get away from the noise, but there is no escaping loud neighbors. Maybe you'll get lucky and have a quiet neighbor, personally I wouldn't risk it and am moving as soon as my lease is up.
The management has been very difficult. They seem to not have any respect for anyone. But let’s talk about the issues of the apartment that haven’t been fixed since I’ve been living there. The AC unit doesn’t cool down the house and has black mold all over it and in it which is unsafe and harmful to be breathing in. The lights I complained about not working and need replacing as we were moving in never got replaced like they promised. Months went by so I took the initiative. Dust comes out of the air ducts which also is unsafe and harmful. Not to mention dust consist of 80% skin and this place was built in the 80’s so no telling how many people have lived in this unit. YUCK. There is also squirrels that have made a nest in our ceiling and when I went in the attic space there are multiple holes from where they chewed them selves in. We also have wasp flying in from the fire place. The dishwasher isn’t attached so it moves all over the place. Our refrigerator has gone in and out and spoiled it our food multiple times. I have complained about these issues multiple times and nothing happens they just say the will fix it to shut you up. And if you’re looking for safety or privacy the gates doesn’t ever work. So just because you see a gate that you’re paying for doesn’t mean it works. The trash pick up? You mine as well take it to the dumpster yourself because they won’t do it. That pest control? Waste of money. They don’t do anything. Don’t get scammed.
This is an awesome place to live, enclosed patios, fireplaces, ac/heat central, trash pick up. You can wash your car! Vacuum it out too! 24hr fitness center, 2 salt water pools. We love living here. The office staff is great! They can sign for packages for you. You can pay rent online! Would recommend it to everyone looking for housing in Birmingham for sure. Lots of local places to grocery shop. Great place for pet owners.
You could not ask for a better area. I have from Walmart to 2 great malls, to Cheesecake Factory and Longhorns. Great great schools that thinks about the students and their future. You even have a great college right down the street from me.
Very friendly complex. Average to fast turn around for maintenance. Friendly staff & lots of activities for kids & residents.
Spacious 3 bdrm 2 bath,many windows with 2" blinds, large & numerous closets,fully equipped kitchen ,screen porch ,large lake with fountain in back yard. Also, pet friendly.love it!
Haved lived in this complex for 5 years in 2 different units. They have all types of floorplans, some units have great screened in porches. Clean and great staff. Would recommend.
This complex is within 2 miles of Anything you could want to do! Multiple groceries, restaurants, theaters, and shopping.Emergency centers are close and a new hospital is almost completed. There's even a DMV within a mile of here. The management has been great to respond to anything I've needed, and the rent is is at or below some other properties. Best of all, we have an award winning school system in Oak Mountain.
