Pest infested, rampant package theft

Before you rent here, I urge you to look at reviews for Ivy Residences (and their former name, Hyde Park Property Management). And if you still decide to tour the place, don't get bedazzled by new appliances and finishes - look for gaps where radiators and plumbing enter the walls, wide spaces between ventilation grates, and cracks in walls and floors. If you see those gaps - know that in this building you will get infested with roaches, mice, and bedbugs (if the unit doesn't already have a hidden infestation). It's a shame - the building had some beautiful classic architecture in the entrance/lobby (whereas now when you enter the lobby all you'll think about is the dread of taking the awful smelling elevators) and my room was spacious for the sq footage due to an efficient layout (I'll miss the walk-in closet), but Ivy squandered its potential when they took over from UChicago.
