Located at the convergence of the Willimantic, Natchaug, and Shetucket rivers, Willimantic is the Algonquin Indian name for “land of the swift running water.” Willimantic is home to Eastern Connecticut State University, the Windham Textile and History Museum, and a rich history.
There are still traces of Willimantic’s storied past throughout the downtown area, where a slew of quaint businesses and restaurants line Main Street. A variety of events bring the community together in Willimantic, from the annual Boom Box Parade to the many cultural celebrations at Eastern Connecticut State University. Big-city amenities aren’t too far from Willimantic, with Hartford just a 30-minute drive away and Providence just an hour’s drive away.

Property Ratings at Ivy Garden Apartments
People blocking your cars and taking your parking spot, this is an issued it's been for years Ivy Garden won't do anything about it! The WATER comes out real DIRTY, Have to let it run around 45 minutes, for those who got washer and dryer clothes still going to be dirty. Didn't want to do this review but have no choice! I've been living here for a few years thinking that this place it's going to change but it Won't! Don't do the same mistake we tenants did, renting in this complex! There are better options than renting in this complex and There's never a personal in the office since they never last and get fired so therefore no emergency contact or maintenance number to reach!
I’ve lived here 3 years & nothing but problems. There’s probably been 3 changes in management. You can’t get a hold of ANYONE if you have an issue. Hot water? Yeah right. (You’re lucky if you get a lukewarm shower) & if the hot water is broke they won’t even notify you that they’re working on fixing it. Heat? I have a toddler and last winter my apartment temperature was 50 degrees for 3 days!!!!!! Roaches? Hope you like them cause these apartments are infested. When you can get a hold of someone they’re rude and they just bandage everything. My fridge was broken from day 1 of moving in and it took them a year to replace it. They replaced it with another fridge from a different unit that had a broken freezer. I can go on and on. The only reason I haven’t moved is because of the price of rent not being so bad but I am currently looking now to move. Horrific !!!!!!!!
The landlord will never answer first of all. This place is infested with roaches and the appliances don’t work. You pay for hot water and half the time it doesn’t work. The parking is horrendous and you won’t even have a spot. Jennifer the landlord is so rude and does not care about anyone besides herself.
Nice apartments Safe little community Going on my second year
These people don’t take care of their apartments haven’t had steady hot water for 2 months now and keep giving people the run around the whole place is invested with roaches and the keep doing the bare minimum just to cover the problem people have been complaining and with out basic house hold appliances like refrigerators microwaves ovens and even heat till their willing to fix or cover up horrible place to live
Close to Walmart highways and all the good stuff in Willi. Much more affordable than most other places in ct. Gas is cheaper in the area too.
Need to find a 2 bedroom apartment wiyh washer and dryer hook up and a pet friendly invoriment neighborhood ,it has to have a 1 level floor with 2 bathroom.
I like where I live, I live here with my mom, my daughter and my son,And both my kids like it here it's just that we pay $935 and with what my mom gets we just make it with me paying the cable, And they up the rent alot and if they do that anytime soon we will have no place to stay because we just make it now and to win free rent for life would be awesome for us because we are so worried if they will raise the rent what will we do so again winning would really help us out alot.. Thank you
