Positioned along the Tennessee River just minutes north of the Georgia state line, Chattanooga is a city of rich history, gorgeous scenery, and heaps of southern hospitality. Downtown and the neighboring Southside district form the urban core of the community, with many of the city’s best venues for dining, nightlife, and entertainment found within a couple of blocks of Market Street in this area.
The local museum scene is expansive, and ranges from traditional institutions like the Hunter Museum of American Art to more unique and peculiar attractions like the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum. The Tennessee Aquarium is a local favorite as well, featuring huge exhibits of freshwater and marine animals.
The city is surrounded by thousands of acres of Tennessee’s unspoiled natural beauty, offering endless opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, camping, and mountain biking, or just exploring and sightseeing in general.

Property Ratings at Ivy Terrace Apartments
I’ll make this short and simple. - Management doesn’t do anything for your issues - Electrical issues - Constant Inspections I had neighbors above me that even after quiet ours where not quiet, and even when I messaged management 3+ times, nothing happened. There were also constant electrical issues, my plugs would always go out every week or two and I’d have to flip the breaker and there was maybe 3 things ever plugged in at once in my apartment so I no it was no fault on my part. Maintenance never fixed it. There is also constant work being done and the place being inspected, it felt like at least every 2 weeks there would be a notice that someone was coming to inspect or do work in my apartment, it didn’t feel like home or mine anymore.

DO NOT live here. Where do I begin. - the floors and walls are so thin you can hear everything that happens in apartments around you. With this being said, the tenant underneath my unit called the cops at 8 pm for “screaming and stomping”, during which it was shown I was simply walking normally. Prepare for nosiness and unrest. - the flooring is vinyl (roll out sheet fake hardwood) and they didn’t even put it under the kitchen appliances. There is simply cold concrete underneath which can be felt through it and seen in corners of the kitchen and between appliances . - my electrical outlets would sporadically go out at least 8 times in 3 months. I sent in multiple requests and each time maintenance failed to fix the problem. My cat is on a automatic feeder as I’m forced out of town often and the outlet with the feeder on it went out once while I was gone and still maintenance failed to give me a long term solution. They would simply come “fix it” every time it went out and I would wait for it to happen again - when I discovered due to all this that this apartment complex wasn’t for me I emailed the office stating I had people ready to apply to sublet my apartment (take over my lease for me). They stated I could not do that. I stated it said nowhere in my lease that I could not sublet and they had no response other than “we just don’t do that here”. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. You truly get what you pay for.

Now that these apartments are under new managements and ownership, us residents thought things would be better. They have only gotten worse, the apartments are infested with roaches, I've had exterminators out and bug bombed my apartment to no avail. Now my ceiling is leaking water into my home, the management and maintenance have been made aware of this issue, this evening was the worse. I called the emergency maintenance number several times to get a message telling me to call the same exact number that I have been calling with no help or any way to stop the water from pouring into my home. This is by far the worse place I have ever lived!!!!!!!!
