In 2023 I was excited to become a resident of Jackson Hill and enjoyed my new home. However, it is my opinion in 2024 there have been too many incidents of theft for a gated community. I am also disappointed that the juliet door issue has not been a higher priority for management to resolve. Thank you.

I only moved in because I was assured by the leasing agent that the garage was safe and had security. It turns out that’s not the case and my car as stolen after just three months. Over the next six months two more cars have been stolen and three have had their wheels and tires stolen. Ownership doesn’t care and ignores management.

Overall, it’s not a bad place to live, but there are issues that must be addressed going forward. I understand it is part of the business model to focus on new business units, but you should also place some focus on keeping current residents happy. I enjoy living here, but I am also constantly worried that I will come out to the garage and my car will be broken into (again), or stolen.

Greystar (property management) has been doing a poor job keeping up with maintenance and communicating with its tenants. We have water continuously flooding our dining area and entire bedroom. No updates received in the last 3 weeks. We were promised someone would be by to help us clean the water out of our apartment and carpets but no one ever showed. Maintenance tickets were closed because they “couldn’t keep them open too long” thus creating a false illusion that they are on top of things which really isn’t the case. Gates and elevators and constantly breaking. No sense of urgency in sight. There is certainly room for improvement.

Lived here for couple of years. Can't beat the location and efficient maintenance team. Amenities are non-existent - gym is tiny, pool has broken umbrellas around it. Leasing team is ok - they have been more or less pleasant if I had to encounter them. However, the upgrades construction has been going on for a year and it has been a pure hell - loud, inconsiderate, and never-ending construction. Definitely the place is not worth the price tag.

I have lived at, and returned, to Jackson Hill 3 times after moving out of state or buying a condo. Management team of Kari, Jacob and Ernie work very hard, along with the entire team to make JH a safe, clean and peaceful place to live. Lately there has been a major improvement project that has us a bit disrupted. There is however, finally an end in sight and this project is wrapping up. It will once again be beautifully landscaped, well maintained, and free from the distractions of making it an EVEN BETTER place to call home.

Overall, the apartment complex is wonderful. The employees are accommodating and considerate, as long as you ask for help, you'll likely get it. The location is nearby beautiful walking paths and dog parks along the bayou. The only few bugs I've encountered in my 2nd-floor apartment are those I accidentally let in through the door myself. Many people might have concerns about the construction, but I take it as a good sign they addresses issues rather than drag their feet about fixing things. Many apartments like to identify as "pet lovers", and I've been disappointed that most of those places only give love to domestic pets (i.e., cats and SOME dogs, not even fish or hamsters.) but Jackson Hill is accepting of all kinds of animal companions. Jackson Hill also has plenty of guest parking, although guests will have to tolerate that it is all located on the rooftop of the parking garage (lots of turns going up and down)-- I've never seen it come close to full capacity.

Since Greystar has taken over, building construction and overall service has been extremely slow and communication has become very impersonal and difficult. Rarely do I reach a staff person unless I go into the leasing office. Overall property management is not good, not because of the on-site staff, but because of Greystar management of resolving issues.

Jackson Hill Luxury Apartments has exceeded all of my expectations. The property is meticulously maintained from the groundskeeping to the cleanliness of outdoor hallways and common areas. The leasing staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, my experience felt like a concierge leasing staff service. The apartments are very well maintained as well. The view from the saltwater pool is calming and the business center is actually a functioning space. Add to that a perfect location, and a safe gated community, it all sums up to a fantastic place to live!

Generally speaking living here is nice. The pool, view, and location great. However the elevator never works, there have been serious water issues from balcony doors and ceilings, the parking is assigned and never on the floor you live on. I moved from out of state this past summer into this apartment. The staff is great, the apartment are clean, quiet, and close to the sounding community grocery store, parks, restaurant, etc. I feel very safe living alone here and will most likely renew my lease.

It has been a great experience living at Jackson Hill. I how no major concerns. Management Staff has been super helpful. Pool is great and so is the gym. Residents are courteous. Great location! Next to Buffalo Bayou Park and a bike station. I love how I can walk to HEB and restaurants. I also love I am able to walk in a very safe and quite neighborhood, while, only being less than three miles from downtown. I would stay longer, but my eventual goal is to own a home so I am having one built and will be ready in a few short months. I recommend Jackson Hill because of it's location, amenities, staff, and maintenance staff.

I have been a resident here for 5 years, last month I raised some concerns with management and all of them have been addressed efficiently and quickly. In less than a month the property manager Kari took care of everything I had previously struggled with, now my quality of life has significantly improved as a direct result of her heard work and dedication. I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, safe, very clean and convenient location to call home. Thank you Kari, Jacob, Luiz, and Jasmine for making my experience extremely enjoyable. Also thank you for hiring the security guard full time, he is sharp and very alert, I feel much safer now.

I am a current resident of Jackson Hill; I like living here. The apartments are beautiful, inside and out. Management is generally friendly, and service requests are promptly addressed. The location couldn't be better. I am surprised by how much of my upstairs neighbor's activities I can hear. I almost always know where he is in his apartment as the floor creaks with his every step. I can hear his TV and music playing, even at a normal volume. No big deal, I can cover the noise up with my own. When his music is unacceptably loud, it creates a tense, stressful situation that management has struggled to resolve. I would not discourage anyone from moving here, but I would choose your unit wisely. Aim for the corners and inquire whether your neighbors' apartments are carpeted.
I've been part of the community for 4 years and I enjoy living here. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The property is comfortable and, every time I bring guests they say hoe beautiful it is. Not to mention how close it is to Washington and major highways, which makes the location very convenient and ideal. I would say that the units themselves could use a little updating. Change the carpet for maybe wood, or the stove from a range to ceramic. On the outside, the resident room is perfect for social events, with the pool right in front. I recommend living here
