We've experienced maintenance issues and had to call multiple times to get issues resolved. Management turnover is high and upper management is not good. They do not care about their residents or the cleanliness/safety/appearance of the property. There is trash everywhere, crime is getting much worse with break ins happening often. They will not return your calls or emails until you are extremely persistent with it. I've been told by friends that upon leaving they will apply false charges to attempt to collect as much money as they can, so now we're afraid of that.
This apartment complex is very poorly run. They are extremely slow at responding to maintenance orders and the front desk workers are very rude when you have to call about anything. At the moment, we have a broken dishwasher, clogged sink, and have infestation of both rats and flies. Other issues we've had in the 10 months being here include: ruptured flooring, hole in the patio fence, broken dryer pieces, broken A/C unit, and no cold water. Counting down the days until we move out. This is a terrible, terrible place to live.
Make sure to do your research and read all reviews before moving here! Management is rude and will ignore you! They will not take care of any issues you have and once communication with them starts turning into a complaint they go ghost and don’t respond!! I do not recommend. I’ve lived in a few different complexes and I am shocked at how they treat their residents.
They constantly survey and invade on your privacy but refuse to send anyone to fix appliances, plumbing, etc.
This place is absolutely terrible. Overall, the experience was okay for the first 8 months of living here. When we moved in, our back fence was broken, which was troublesome since the neighbor had two aggressive dogs and I had a dog myself. It took two months for them to have someone come repair the fence. The unit had other issues: the dryer wasn't connected when we moved in, the floor board in the hallway was coming up due to a leak underneath the foundation, the front door wouldn't close since the latch didn't line up with the door. Also, the trash service is a joke. Most of the time the trash doesn't get picked up, which leads to people having mounds of trash bags behind their places. The walkways are usually overrun with trash that hasn't been picked up. However, nothing has compared to the headache have endured since we started finding rats in our unit. We have contacted the office for two weeks looking to get the issue resolved. Maintenance came out once, asked if we had put out any traps, and then left. They didn't attempt to look for entrances or lay any traps themselves. They were also assuring us the the pest control service would be coming out in two weeks time. On the date they told us pest control would arrive, they never came. I called the office twice to ask if pest control would still be coming out. The second time the office worker was extremely rude, saying they didn't know anything. Both times I called they assured me that they would call me back by the end of the day with an updated. Of course they never did, and pest control never came either. Going on three weeks of rats (multiple, I have videos) running around our place. Cant wait to get out of this place and never look back. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Avoid avoid avoid.
This whole awful experience starts off with my move in. When signing the lease we established a move in date for early August and the unit I had selected was being renovated prior but I was assured the unit would be ready prior to my move in date. From time to time prior to move in I would stop by and see if any progress was being made and very little was being done during this time but again I was told everything would be completed. I went ahead and booked my moving truck and movers along with packing up my house I was in at the time again because I was told everything would be completed on time. A day or two before the move in (after hours) I drive by to check and see if the place was ready and of course it was not. The next day when I tried to call the office several times I wouldn't get an answer so I decide to drive to the office after work and I'm calling the office the entire time and a few minutes before I get there a young lady answers and tells me the person I wish to speak with is showing a property but little did she know I was parking and on my way in and when I walk in the young lady along with 2 other office workers one being who I asked to speak with were there in the office along with a mgr from HQ (no customers). At this point I'm steaming on the inside because my place isn't ready, my calls and VM have been ignored, and now I've got the staff lying to me on top of everything else. I had a firm discussion with the mgr from HQ and the best they could do was to put me in a hotel for a week and I had to unload my moving truck into a pod and once the place was finally ready move again essentially from the pod to the unit.
I love living at Jamestown. There have been a few hiccups, as with any rental home but the staff has always more then made up for it. The staff truly cares and are very friendly and personable. I am a resident of 4 years and I am in no hurry to move anytime soon :)
I have been living here for 11 year.The first few years the management was not very good. But since the new management has taken over there has been great improvement. Maintenance is prompt and lawn care and landscaping is kept very neat.It is a good place to call home,that's why I have been here so long.
We have lived here for a year and a half. We love the renovations that they have put into the apartments. There's a brand new swimming pool, exercise room, computer center, and a playground. It is a quiet and safe neighborhood. They have community events from time to time near holidays. We love the staff. They have understood what we have needed and taken care of us. We have never seen any trouble with any other residents. Our neighbors have been amazing. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this apartment. It's a great community for children and dogs. It is close to restaurants, a library, banks, stores, and a bus stop. I think everyone can enjoy the community. If you have a problem with your apartment, the staff can help you very quickly. They also take care of the outside to keep it beautiful and fresh. Parking is not an issue either. I think the apartments has everything people want. I feel happy and safe where I live and I think you will too.
