Property Ratings at Jamestown Village Apartments
I’ve been living here for almost a year now and I love it. Maintenance is always fast to come and they’re always really helpful. It has a nice pool and playground for kids. Overall very happy here and just renewed my lease for another year!

We lived in Jamestowm Village Apartments for little over 3 years. I thought I'd write a few words about how I felt at Jamestown Village Apartments. First, both Neil and Deanna are great - always welcoming, they listen to residents, and try their best to resolve any issues / concerns to the best of their abilities in a friendly manner. This is unique about the staff at Jamestown Village Apartments. Second, we felt very safe at Jamestown. My kids were very happy and never had any issues. Third, the maintenance at Jamestown is super fast. Maintenance guys do their job in a professional way. They took care of our needs in time. Finally, it's a great place to live and feel homely without any delays in maintenance needs. All in all, what you get for the rent you are paying is absolutely perfect and in fact a deal when the economy is going through inflation. Thank you Neil and Deanna. Wishing you all the best and great success at Westover. I am sure Westover will recognize your hard work.
The 3 bed/2 bath apartment was spacious and contemporary hence two stars. However, the noise is ridiculous and the neighbors in the N building on the 2nd floor are the rudest and most inconsiderate people. Music is blared all hours of the day and night at a volume that seems like your boom box is right next to you. This is in addition to banging and slamming doors and the ceiling to be malicious if you politely ask them to lower the volume because you work from home. Besides the noise, there are two laundry machines for the entire building and these same neighbors hog the machines and will go as far as to call you on the intercom to have you move your clothes if you don’t stand by the machine to monitor it. They leave their laundry in the machines for hours and will remove your laundry mid-cycle if they want to use the machines. Don’t bother doing your laundry. They run the show to make others miserable and have no consequences. The property manager will send emails as his version to remedy the issue. Neil can send emails - that is the only thing he does. Deanna tries and is responsive but her hands are tied because Neil refuses to have a backbone. Also, if your mail goes there after you move, do not expect them to hold it or forward it for you or even notify you at all. Because of this we had to move. The space is great and so is the location but if you want peace and quiet and a property manager who serves his residents, go somewhere else. Run.
I recently moved because it’s convenient for me and my bf and the cheapest in the area. We got an updated apartment which is nice but when we saw the apartment before signing the lease the previous owners had 2 cats and the apartment smelled like cat. The manager told us the floors would be clean before we moved. However that was not the case I was very disappointed when I moved in. We don’t have any pets so I know it wasn’t us. I complained and she came over and her exact words were “honestly I don’t smell anything, maybe it’ll hit me in a little” I was so irritated and couldn’t believe she would lie. The smell was strong she claimed the carpets were steamed cleaned then claimed they were new carpets. When we vacuumed there was CAT LITTER and CAT HAIR. I was so tired and dissatisfied with the apartment. Thank god my dad has his own cleaning company he was able to come and clean my carpets and now after actually cleaning the carpets it smells great. But good luck to other tenants that have to fight with management. I just don’t have the energy for it so I did it myself. Which is wrong because I shouldn’t have to. The walls are thin you can hear the neighbors walking upstairs or the tv or their music or conversation. If you’re a light sleeper just be aware that the walls are thin. It took me a couple months to finally decide on a place to live and I went off the great reviews I saw on here. I guess they’re all in another building and not on the second floor but as for me I hate it here !!!
Horrible company. I was a loyal tenant of the Jamestown Village apartments for approximately 5 years and always payed my rent on time. I had to move unexpectedly to deal with a family emergency, which I explained to my property manager, but they didn't care and came up with some insane amount of money (over $3000) for vacating premises early. They had no basis to come up with that figure from any lease, etc. that I signed. Kind of just pulled the figure out of their greedy selves. I had told them to keep my security deposit due to lack of notice, but that wasn't good enough for the money hungry company. On top of everything else, near the end of my residency, I noticed caked on paint in the bathroom peeling off, which surprisingly showed black mold. It was clear the property was determined to hide this from tenants by just caking paint over the mold. Black mold is very unhealthy to live with, and shame on the property for such a deception to it's tenants.
This apartment complex for the price is pretty decent. The only complaint I have is with the management. Anytime something goes wrong in the apartment, the time and accuracy of the repair are terrible. Some of the maintenence people shouldn't be working in maintenence at all, they have no idea what they are doing. Others are pretty good. Had to have numerous come backs to fix same issues. When you call the office about these issues they blow you off. Overall, decent apartment and living. Just need to improve customer service extensively and hire maintenence workers who know what they are doing to avoid continuing issues.
This complex is close to the turnpike and train station. There are many great restaurants close by along with stores and gas stations. Some of the community amenities are a pool and fitness center. The apartments are spacious.
Jamestown Village is a wonderful place to live The Staff are friendly and helpful and efficient and more important they are competent and respectful. The maintenance people are fast to respond to any problems and they take care of them quickly with a smile . When my wife and I got older our house became to much to handle. We had a 3 bedroom house and we lived in the city of Philadelphia. My wife had to go through breast cancer treatment and then I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and we had to deal with that. Subsequently I had to have both my Hips replaced . So doing all the things we did when we were younger was out of the question. We are both in our 60's now and find that we should have investigated apartment living sooner. Jamestown Village provides washers and dryers in each building. Our Building has three floors and four apartments on each floor. mailboxes with a outgoing slot for mail you want to send. They have a gym available to all tenants and also a Swimming pool. We love it here!
We have been renting in this apartment for 7 years, we moved out last August 2014, after we moved out everything was charged to us, $550 was deducted to our deposit, we called the office 5 times, they said they will ask their head office about it, we called the head office in King of Prussia 3 times, the manager is not always on his table, we left a message, they never called back. The bukb, carpet replacement (we left without any damage on it) even the keys were charged to us. $550 is a big amount when we did nothing wrong to the apartment, we cleaned the whole apartment for 3 hours before we left.
