Founded in 1885, the Montclair neighborhood is one of Denver's oldest -- and the first designated as a National Historic District. Montclair is named for its developer, the Montclair Town and Improvement Company. This proud little town fought to keep their independence, fighting the city of Denver's attempts to incorporate all the way to the State Supreme Court. Montclair lost, and was annexed by Denver in 1903.
Just five miles east of Downtown Denver, Montclair is a self-contained community, offering plenty of shops, restaurants, and businesses along Colfax Avenue. After renting your Montclair apartment, head to Antiques Etc. and Myxed Up Creations to find unique décor. After shopping, enjoy lunch at the Blunozer Café.
The neighborhood has four parks. The largest, Mayfair Park, has natural areas, walking/biking paths, a playground, a basketball court, and picnic areas. Montclair Park contains the historic Montclair Civic Center, a playground, tennis courts, and horseshoe pits.

Property Ratings at Jasmine Place
Nightmare experience with living here for a year with my fiancé. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The building’s hot water pipes and heating ran underneath our unit, making the walls and floor constantly hot. We never, ever turned the heating on in our unit, as it was ALWAYS burning hot. We routinely opened our windows on freezing, even negative winter days to let in cold air to cool the apartment down. We had constant ant issues no matter what we did, even after Cornerstone sent an exterminator. There were huge gaps between the walls and the floor that weren’t sealed. Ants roamed from outside into our unit freely due to this and the cracks in the walls that you could literally see outside through. We even had flying ants! FLYING ANTS! In our tiny garden level apartment! Since the unit wasn’t properly sealed there was a constant musty, dirty smell in the apartment. One night we accidentally locked ourselves out of our apartment, so we called after hours maintenance to let us in. After the maintenance person got there, turns out Cornerstone never made a spare of our key, and he had to break our door down (he was wonderful and we otherwise wouldn’t be able to get into our apartment). Our door was left super banged up, and had a huge hole in it where the handle was taken out. CORNERSTONE STILL CHARGED US THE FEE FOR GETTING INTO OUR APARTMENT. They replaced the handle the next day, but the door always had deep scratches and dents on it and was never fixed or replaced. Cars in the parking lot were broken into, even our mailboxes were pulled open and stolen from. When we assumed most of our issues were unit specific, we asked Cornerstone if we could transfer our lease to a new unit in the same building, to which they offered no transfer program, so we were stuck in our awful apartment for the rest of our lease. Idiotic move on their part, as they lost wonderful tenants. My only advice is to run far, far away from this apartment and leasing company.
This building is not at all wheelchair accessible. Not even one unit can be accessed without stairs.
This review is for the Four Star Realty company in Denver, who runs this apartment, not for the apartment itself. This company runs multiple apartments throughout this area and is incredibly unprofessional. If you are thinking of renting with this rental company, take a look at their company's reviews first. They will take forever to get back to your work requests, if they fix them at all. Their prices are way above normal, and the lease is completely skewed in their favor, and a pain for the renter. Make sure to read your lease thoroughly!
