Jefferson Street Square is an independent senior living community for those 55 and better. We are located in downtown Mason, in walking distance to shops, restaurants, and community activities. We offer studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments; all of which include water, sewer, trash removal, and heat with the rent. Residents are responsible for paying for their electricity, cable, internet, and phone services. With a variety of floor plans, we are able to offer a very unique living experience. Located about ten miles southeast of Lansing, Mason is the county seat of Ingham County. Mason blends suburban and rural lifestyles, boasting close proximity to Michigan’s capital city as well as a wide variety of farms. Home to several scenic city parks, Mason contains amenities such as a walking trail, skate park, and roller hockey rink. Burchfield Park and Valhalla Park are just minutes from Mason too.
The Ingham County Courthouse is the centerpiece of Mason’s historic downtown area, which blends into the cobblestoned paths of the antiques district. Downtown Mason’s colorful, historic buildings contain a bevy of restaurants, boutiques, and specialty shops along tree-lined Jefferson Street. Mason has been a Tree City USA every year since 1990. Mason’s proud, close-knit community gathers at the annual Ingham County Fair every July. Access to U.S. 127, I-96, and I-496 makes getting around from Mason easy.
