The first thing you’ll notice about Jersey City’s waterfront is the scenery – from the Holland Tunnel to Liberty State Park, The Waterfront offers prime views of the Lower Manhattan skyline across the Hudson River. In recent years, The Waterfront has transformed into a trendy, affluent neighborhood. Popular among NYC commuters (thanks to the convenience of public transportation via road, rail, and ferry), The Waterfront has a robust corporate presence of its own, meaning that many residents are able to walk or bike to work.
The Powerhouse Arts District has attracted a vibrant community of creatives to The Waterfront, contributing to an eclectic vibe in the exclusive neighborhood; this unique blend of influences has resulted in a unique assortment of galleries, cafes, and bars on the south side of the neighborhood.

Property Ratings at Jersey City Urby
This is the most quiet apartment unit I've had in Jersey City and Manhattan ever! The walls and floors are super thick so you don't hear your neighbors. Summer at the pool is really fun, and the entire staff is very helpful.
I've never really been in a situation personally like I'm going through now and needed to find a place to live quickly. I'd managed to meet with Alex in Leasing who not only helped me find a place within a few hours, but was able to help me navigate complex financial situations, and helped me take care of my lease after hours. I was a difficult lease in some ways - Needed things to move quickly to allow myself some peace of mind. Jezenia was not only accommodating but took my requests to move my lease date up, squeeze my move into the earliest possible day, had to redo our lease twice and deal with tons of phone calls asking questions due to the speed at which this happened. All of leasing and those I've talked to in Property have been incredibly awesome in helping me square away all of the details of this move. I think we all have to keep in mind people regardless of who or what they do are people too, and Urby has been fantastic at addressing my personal needs. I couldn't be more grateful to the teams at Urby for making this easy on me. I haven't moved in yet but will update with a post move in review eventually. Thank you guys so much! Mike
I have been living here for 2 years. I would have 5 star for them if it was 1 year ago but recently I found it's not getting better. Last week my car was hit by a car of Urby's employee in the Urby garage. Yes I paid for garage parking spot to protect the car better and never hit by residents here because we are very careful when we turn in the garage. I stopped first while see him at the corner but obviously the employee didn't see me so he was still driving and turning. The reason he didn't see me is, he said, was trying to avoid another car that was parked in the wrong place. The owner of another car is anther employee of Urby. I understood accident happens so we exchanged information and left, but it has been 1 week no one contact me for the compensation process for fixing my car so far. I didn't do anything inappropriate while driving but my car was hit by the employee because of another employee (Yeah I'm so confusing) and no one takes the responsibility. That's why I'm unhappy about it. Considering the good experience for the 1st year, I would give a 3 star for now. My future reviewsssss will depend on how they deal with this accidence. To be continued.....
After living in the Urby for a year and a half, I had to unfortunately break my lease due to certain circumstances. Although I enjoyed my time residing at the Urby, it was completely overshadowed when the management was inconsistent with backend process. I was ultimately charged an obscene amount when I was a good resident, received my full security deposit back, and proactive in letting the leasing agents more than 30 days before planning to vacate. Brandy (the GM) says to your face how the Urby is not about screwing over their residents for money and understand circumstances change, but once you move out, they will threaten to send you to collections. I AGREE WITH EVERYONE ON HERE WHO HAS HAD ISSUES WITH MANAGEMENT. To reiterate what someone else posted, "they are bunch of liars and are not very forthcoming with information. Take nothing they say at face value."
Worst manager I have ever met. When I talked to their manager about the problem happened in this building. Their manager was so rude and not listening to me. She even said none of them is their fault. The elevator not working for several times and my friend is even stuck in the elevator after the elevator fell suddenly. The door lock of both the room and the bedroom do not work. The floor inside the room is not flat and has some strange sound when I step on it. The air conditioner did not have hot wind in the winter. The closet in the bedroom is broken. I asked them to fix these problems for twice but none of the issues solved. Dirt even spill out from the sink and closestool. If none of these are their fault, what can I say? Rude manager and worst building.
The AC makes a loud high pitch whistling noise at night in cold winter, even when we turned the heater off! It makes it very very difficult to fall asleep at night. And the worst part is that building maintenance said it could not be fixed. =((((((((( Other part of living experience has been fine. The environment /common areas are really nice. But if you can't sleep here at night, nothing else matters. Will update if anything changes.
Property Manager at Jersey City Urby, Responded To This Review
Thank you so very much for taking the time to provide this feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with your PTAC unit. We would like to send the Superintendent personally to your apartment as we have recently discovered a few measures that may be able to reduce the sound that you hear from the wind. Please contact our Property Management office at 201-333-7200.
Apartments have an odd layout, paint left all over floor and appliances, a third grader could have done a better job. Management is awful, they spend so much time planning and coordinating social activities via email for the tenants, perhaps they should instead spend that time responding to tenant emails and concerns which should be at the top of their priority, not making sure there is a 'movie night'. I've had to shower in ice cold water on three seperate occasions because the building loses hot water. On the upside the building is clean, but unresponsive Mgmt in a building that costs this much is very disappointing.
Very low-quality finishing they say there is a communal kitchen but he's always luck because it's always locked and service as a program room that the tenant cannot use and all of the workers use it all the time they don't clean the gym they don't clean the pool The pool is not heated they don't clean the elevators they don't clean the floors The barbecue was closed for three months overall very bad experience with the management I will not recommend anybody to move there
Building is cool...looking, apartment layouts are not the best and quality of finishes are pretty terrible. Formica countertops and laminate floors in apartments well over 2k ?
