LA is a special kind of city. The arts, the music, and the nightlife make it unlike any other, and Downtown Los Angeles is at the heart of it all. The neighborhood is divided up into several districts, each with a unique personality and style. Fashionistas will feel right at home in the Fashion District or the Jewelry District, museum and art lovers will appreciate the Arts District, and the movers-and-shakers will make their mark in the Financial District.
Although there's plenty of glamour in the City of Angels, Downtown Los Angeles is much more than a haven for movie stars. Tech companies have set up shop in the neighborhood, especially in the Arts District. While major film studios Universal, Paramount Pictures, and 20th Century Fox are all located in LA, the city's top employers include banks, manufacturing firms, and companies like Deloitte, US Bancorp, and Aon.

Property Ratings at Josephine DTLA
Extremely disappointed with Josephine DTLA. The so-called 'dog run' is insect-infested and poorly maintained. The gym lacks basic equipment, and room appliances are substandard. Experienced unwarranted intrusion from staff and serious security concerns. Not recommended.
8th and Hope is the perfect location for true downtown living. We moved here in June 2018 and love the location, friendly staff, and responsive maintenance crew. It’s a nice place to live. Also, pet friendly, which is important to us.
This building is very well maintained. I feel safe here. The concierge, leasing and maintenance staff are very professional and helpful if I do have an issue. I also appreciate having a charging station at my assigned parking spot. The apartments are beautiful and well designed. Definitely worth every penny.

Overall 8th and Hope is a wonderful place to live. Great views, great apartment, and nice neighbors. I truly enjoy coming home everyday and spending time at home with my girlfriend. The neighborhood is very lively and makes you feel like a part of the community.
My view is fantastic, my neighbor are disrespectful smokers, it smells like a motel when my AC is on and the management is not responding to any of my emails regarding the issues nor trying to help a good standing resident.
This complex needs new management ASAP I have moved here less then 2 weeks and it has been one of the worst decisions of my life. Counting down my days to moving out.
I've moved into 8th and Hope apartments in March 2020. I went a saw a lot of different properties around Downtown LA. I have never felt more like at home then at 8th and Hope apartments. All the staff members are extremely kind and help out if any problems arise. I wouldn't want to leave 8th and Hope apartments for anything else. The price is extremely good for what you're getting. During COVID-19, something that no one was prepared for, it felt like 8th and Hope apartments was completely prepared. They know what they were doing, they had good advice for the residents and would implement fair rules to make sure the spread of the virus was minimal to none. I placed a work order request (Service Request) and within a day somebody would come and fix the problem i was having in the apartment. They staff here have always been organized and professional.
We have lived at 8th and Hope going on 3 years now! We couldn't be happier with the overall experience we have had! We (my husband and I) love the community, the staff, the amenities and the overall culture at 8th and Hope! We recommend living here to everyone and anyone we come across!
Great resort style living in the city wonderful amenities and communal spaces. Washer and dryer in the unit is a must for me and garage parking all included. Fitness rooms and gym are one of my favorite features other than location. Walking distance to grocery stores restaurant staples center library and more.
Horrible place. so many problems even though less than a year old. Horrible management of the tenants means tenants are loud, damage property in the garage, and leave unreasonable messes in public spaces. Also, takes over ten minutes to get warm water to the sink, which is unreasonable during the horrible draught here in SoCal. Have had the floors repaired 3 times and still the cheap floors keep coming up. Over priced. Horrible service. great location.
