Northeast Philadelphia is a large, mostly residential section of the city positioned a few miles outside of Downtown. With its abundance of affordable apartments and rental houses, the “Great Northeast” is a popular area for budget-conscious Philadelphians. The community’s most famous attraction is the Philadelphia Mills, a large outlet shopping center that also houses a major multiplex movie theater.
Dozens of public parks of every size give the locals ample opportunities to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, particularly the huge nature preserve surrounding Pennypack Creek. Convenient access to SEPTA service, Interstate 95, and Northeast Philadelphia Airport make it easy for folks to travel across town or across the country.

Property Ratings at Joshua House
In the mist of finally finalizing everything they have denied processing due to a restriction of miniature labs / 35lbs dog. Extremely unprofessional in leasing office should have been advise prior to paying 100$ in application fees !!!!
Never even rent from Joshua house , it’s a nightmare to live walls so thin you will be up all night just because you neiborgerg blasting music after 10 am and you need to get up at 6.30am for work , no matter how much i tried to complain for leasing office and also I try ask current people who lives upstarts not running and fighting in the middle of the night , no one carers much ! I called 911 once and this complin even was not that much matter , So this is my story I have been living so far one year and 4 months and when my leas is up I’m out of it !! If you looking for nice quite place to leave Joshua house not is the one what you need!
I just moved into Joshua House Apartments and in less than a week of being there they towed my car to center city philly! They give you this sticker you need to put on your car but don't warn you that if you don't your car will be towed. not giving a simple warning or a ticket.. they tow it. This is a completely flawed, down right malicious step to take especially for a new resident who just moved in. They will take your car information down for the leasing office but what good is that if you don't pull the paperwork to see if they live there. This is ridiculous and I'm ready to move out with how the office treated this situation. Zero sympathy for anyone.
This place is OK for the price. Walls are thin, I can hear exactly where my upstairs neighbor is walking in their apartment. Other tenants constantly park in non-parking spaces or have their friends park in the tenant only parking spaces while they throw parties. There are no trash cans at the entrance of buildings or on any of the sidewalks so all of the neighbors liter and by the end of the week there's wrappers, cups and brown bags everywhere. Most of the dog owners don't pick up their dog's poop. This place has a mice problem and you're stuck with Comcast as the only option but this is Philly so what do you expect?
Lived here for 2 years. Apartments are pretty spacious and have a nice layout. Gym is outdated and equipment barely works. Leasing office is horrible with contacting you back and hung up on multiple times. Seem pretty immature for adults. Neighbors smoking. Multiple maintenance issues sometimes not taken care of or take a couple days to handle. I would not recommend this place but if you do, don't expect much. A friend of mine lived here in 2011 and said the same on recommendation. Guess I should've listened.
I've been living here at The Joshua House apartments for almost 3 years now. I rent a rather LARGE 2 bedroom apartment. I really like this place. It has its downfalls but no apartment is perfect. Throughout the 3 years I've been here I've caught two mice. I really think it has a lot to do with my neighbors. Because since they've moved out I haven't seen one. The maintenance people come rather quickly after u call and let them know about your problem. They've fix each problem that I've had with the apartment. I honestly cannot complain. I have a small yorkie dog. I had to pay a $350 pet deposit and an additional $25 per month. When I first moved in, my rent was $980 25petfee= $1005. But of course it goes up yearly which is a bummer... So now we're paying 1019 25petfee=$1044. So it has went up by $39 so far and we're due fot a lease renewal so I'mAs pretty sure they'll add another $20 to the rent. My bedroom is soooooo big! I have a great big walk-in closet with shelves for SHOESSSS! My guest room is a standard master size room. It has a ceiling to floor closet with full body mirrors on the front of the closet.. I love it. The bathroom is a bit small compared to other bathrooms. But its not horrible. The kitchen is great. Granite counters, dishwasher and microwave included. My livingroom is pretty spacious as well. If you're looking to mount your TV.. good luck because the walls are Sheetrock. You're responsible for your gas and electric. Its central air and its really cost efficient. If I run my cool air on 72 all day, everyday all month then my bill is about $90 same thing with my gas in the winter for the heat. I hope I covered everything. If I didn't feel free to contact me via email at Sjenkins0288@yahoo.com. I'll be more than happy to share more of my experience or answering any questions I can help you with.
