Characterized by densely populated residential areas and the occasional small shopping center, Millcreek is a safe and comfortable place to live. While not as trendy as Sugarhouse to the north, the neighborhood provides plenty of dining and entertainment options. Families, in particular, love Millcreek for its low crime rate and highly-rated schools.
Millcreek lies just 7 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City, making for a short drive even in the heaviest traffic. Many residents live in the area and commute to the downtown businesses or the University of Utah; Millcreek also lies within a 30-minute drive of many southern suburbs. Just 15 minutes to the east, the Wasatch Mountains provide hiking and skiing opportunities.

Property Ratings at Joshua Tree- $1000 off move in.
I've been living at this apartment complex for the better part of a year. Since moving in they have renovated the Gym, Pool, and exterior of my building. It actually looks really great. I have had minor issues here and there, nothing out of the ordinary and the management team has always acted on each issue quickly. I have been through many life changes while staying here, and the management has always been very understanding to my circumstances. They are very helpful and personal; Trinity and Michela are especially wonderful to work with. I see a lot of reviews from people who are failing to live within their means, seems silly to slander a good place because of poor planning. I genuinely have enjoyed my stay here. Thank you Joshua Tree!

Thank you for the rave review and special staff shout-out, Brady! We will be sure to pass along your kind words to our team. We couldn't be happier that you decided to call Joshua Tree home! Our staff is always happy to help should you ever require any assistance. Feel free to stop by the leasing office or give us a call!
Although you might be charmed by the facade of a quaint community with modern amenities, you will be greatly disappointed. These units are poorly constructed and overpriced (scaffolding has been up for over a year with no progress made, flat paint on the walls, cheap flooring, incorrectly installed hardware, cheap appliances, etc). They charge WAY too much for rent, which includes hidden fees that they won’t explain. They will lie to you about the availability of advertised amenities. They do not enforce leash & pet waste rules. They do not offer recycling. No one there knows how to properly install or operate a sprinkler system. Fireplace never works. Neighbors smoke inside even though it’s a smoke-free complex. Neighbors steal mail and packages. They charge an unnecessary $300 for late rent. The employees are unresponsive to questions and concerns. They will charge you hundreds of dollars after you move out for things you should not be charged for. Their responses to poor reviews on google are literally all the same, like they copy and paste the same empty apologies over and over. WORST experience I’ve ever had living at an apartment complex. Do not waste your time and money here. I’m currently in the process of working with my lawyer to dispute my unwarranted charges after I move out. Save yourself a huge headache.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback! We'd love to know what we could do to make your stay with us all the more positive, so please come see us at the leasing office so we may better understand your thoughts and improve your experience moving forward. Thank you!
Absolute worst experience ever! I moved into these apartments understanding that they were under construction and I would have to put up with some inconveniences. But I did not expect to be verbally threatened by the construction crew at 6:15am when I kindly asked them to check the time (against city ordinance and no permit to be working that early). I was given a $20 gift card from the office for being called vulgar names and physically threatened by men. The construction crew repeatedly worked from before 7am and after 9pm upstairs in the unit above. There was no peace. They threw cigarette butts down into my patio, where there was a pile of bird poop. This was because there was a huge next in the eaves of the building above my patio. No one would remove the birds. They also would hang out in the carports so when you got out, the birds would swoop down and scare you to death. Then my apartment was broken into, drug addicts sitting in front of my front door smoking in the halls, random cars always parking in my assigned spot, and the pool didn't ever open all summer. My ground level unit had raw sewage coming up through my tub, overflowing into both bedrooms and the rest of the bathroom/laundry area. They didn't provide professional cleaning nor did they come out promptly. I had a six inch stain up my baseboards and walls. Towards the end of my stay, they changed all the USPS addresses and unit numbers. This resulted in not getting mail and packages for weeks! Finally, when due to family matters, I had to find someone to take over my lease so I could move into a bigger place, I was given wrong lease takeover information by the office staff. The regular manager was out on maternity leave so a new girl was handling my takeover. She took my contact information, including my new forwarding address, so she could mail the pro-rated rent back to me after my new tenant moved in during the middle of the month. This equaled about $500. She told me I would receive it within 30 days. I handed over my keys and signed her paperwork. I never received my money. When I called to see what was happening with it, another manager told me that she had given me wrong information and it was MY responsibility to get this from the person I found to take over my lease. I have it in writing and they would not honor their own mistakes! BEWARE. They are dishonest and unprofessional!!!

The people at the front office were great. Everything’s else about the experiences living in this complex are disgusting. They literally will take every penny from you. The last months rent wasn’t posted until the 2nd so I thought I had already paid but when I checked again on the 3rd it hadn’t so I called to explain the situation and they “graciously” cut the $300 fee to $150 for they’re own doing. Then, come moving out, they said my sister could turn her key in on Monday then ended up charging her $150. They took our ENTIRE deposit for an apartment that was hardly damaged, and called it cleaning fees. After we moved out, we were locked out of our AMC rentpay account, and were charged rent and took it from our account EVEN though we didn’t live there and they only gave half of the money back. If I would have known how this place would try to take every penny I had I would have NEVER lived here and I will not recommend it to anyone. On top of the fact that there weren’t numbers on the parking structures when we moved in so we took one allotted covered parking spot and someone slashed our tires. So done with this place and can not wait to tell everyone NOT to live here. NONE of the amenities promised at signing were available after a year of living there and they couldn’t give us a timeline of when all the construction would be over. Literally this and so much more.

There are couple things you might wanna know before you rent this place. 1, when you apply for the apartment it doesn't mean you get the unit and move in on the date you wanted unless you pay $225 initial leasing fee to hold your spot, and the fee doesn't go toward the first month rent. It is just there for them to charge you. And they said it is for processing paper work, in which I don't see what paper work that need to process that requires $225. 2, the manager and the secretary are not on the same page. One told me no available unit for my move in date after I send my application, the other person told me it is still available. 3. When you don't get the unit that they told you, the only thing they could say is I am sorry, nothing they can do about it. 4, They are nice but not professional. They wouldn't let you know that other applicant are looking for the same apartment unit, cos they said it is first come first serve unless you pay the $225 initial leasing fee in which it is the first time I have heard this kind of fee. 5, you need to keep contacting them to check on the status. They are not being proactive unless you ask them. But still, when I ask them they don't even know what type of unit I am looking for. If you got that 40 dollars to waste then go ahead and apply. Other people might have good experience, but hope no one has to go through what I went through.

We are sorry we did not meet your expectations. Please feel free to stop in the office to discuss your concerns. Sincerely, Joshua Tree Apartments
The management here is pretty awful. They turn a blind eye to all sorts of bad behavior. Fights in the common areas-- don't care. Shouting and fights in the parking lots in the middle of the night? Couldn't care less. Obvious drug dealing with physical evidence? Whatever! Honestly-- they don't care for their residents. They will add lots of unexplained charges to your rent, then fail to respond to requests for work to your apartment. I've rarely seen a management company be more negligent about actually running a property than here! Don't be fooled by the new coats of paint and the work they've put into the remodels-- they run the place like a slum. You can find safer and quieter places to live. Let all renters beware!!!
Lived here for a year. They did monthly "apartment checks" which if they had a better vetting process wouldn't have to be done... went through two different owners of which they both aren't great. Was told I could walk in and get my deposit back and upon arrival was told that they already put it in the mail even though they said they would hold it for me in the office. So instead of calling me back to tell me that, they wasted my time even more.
Short version: We applied to the Legacy Apartments at Brickyard, and then we didn't hear back for 12 days, even after leaving messages. Long version: My wife and I toured two places and then we put in an application, which we were told would be processed in 48 hours. After 3 days, I called several times but never get through to anyone. When it had been 4 days, I left a couple of messages wanting to know the status of the application. That was when I read the reviews and I realized this wasn't incredibly uncommon, but thought it was weird that this company wouldn't call us back. Finally, after 12 days, they called my wife (not me, who had left several messages with my number) saying they had emailed us and they wanted to discuss something on my credit report. We both checked every email address we have to see if we received anything, but they had never emailed us. So I called later to see if I could get the money we had put down to reserve the room back. Again, they said they'd call us when it was ready. We didn't hear a thing and they wouldn't answer our calls until it had been two weeks, and then they finally agreed we could pick it up.
I showed up to see the apartment and they were there but the lady said they were closed and closed the door on my face. It was 10 am on a Friday.
The management has always been extremely helpful. The neighborhood is on the rise with new business's and the quality all around is fantastic. Lots of space, in good condition. I love it here.
Don't move here. They treated fines and evictions several times a month for minor things such as a bike being left on a balcony or patio. They spring additional charges onto monthy rent often. Ex: I was told washer dryer and gas were included in rent. Then 6 days into the following month I was charged a rental fee for appliances and given a gas bill. Things like this happen all of the time here. One month after moving in I began counting down the months to the end of my lease.
