Property Ratings at Juan de Cuevas Estates
I applied online and when Ms. Patricia had an available apartment, she called and had me come into the office. She was extremely kind and patient. A very warm welcome from her every time I have been in the office. My job keeps me restraint with hours I am available to come in and missed a couple of appointments and she was very patient with me. The property is well kept and even have courtesy officers staying on property. I can't wait to move in!
This place is full of German roaches... no matter what you do.. they won't go away... do not live there.. very nasty
I found drug paraphernalia in the park, which is usually littered with regular garbage. The volleyball court is always a mess. In spring they start to close the gate, and they put a notice on people's doors ONE DAY before, not long enough for people to get pass cards ($25 this year, last year $15, and always running out) or put their phone number in to open the gate when they come home from work. So you get long lines driving in circles waiting for someone with a gate card to get there and open it. Someone ends up punching the key box or a car zings the gate trying to get in- the gate is broken most of the time that that it is in use. When the gate is not working, the POOL gate is not working. So I have lived year 12 months, and I have swam in that pool maybe 4 times! I try not to bring up swimming, my little girl has been SO UPSET by the pool never being open that it was too stressful to even mention it. Usually there is garbage everywhere (I pick up other people's trash around my own apartment because I'm embarrassed!) I was in contact with RealTex when I moved in, because I was so upset that it took THREE MONTHS for me to get keys to my apartment, despite having paid deposit and filed paperwork, then when I finally got in (after paying double rent since my last landlord was mad that I didn't move out when I said I would), there is black mold inside my refrigerator, freezer, vents and dishwasher. Just after I'd gotten all my stuff in here, the apartment flooded, because there was no sign on the malfunctioning water spigot outside to warn the carpet cleaning company not to use it while they cleaned someone ELSE's apartment....ALL my stuff got wet. I threw away a very expensive purse, and a hand dyed woven beach bag- flood bled all the colors out of it onto some dresses hanging in my closet. My viola and violin got wet. Brandi-who recently got promoted despite having embezzled from her last job- stood outside and yelled at me that my apartment was clean and dry when it smelled like a rancid wash towel, blamed the carpet cleaners. I asked if she knew that spigot would flood me wouldn't you put a sign on it or tell the cleaners not to use it? I have lived here just long enough for my lease to expire, and I"m getting OUT. I will copy and paste this onto EVERY apartment rental site because I am so angry right now about yet another disappointment with the Pool being closed, this time with a sleepover party of little girls upset that they can't go swimming.
Let's put it this way, there's a reason I called the title what I called it. I am barely making ends meet as is. So when I do come home I'd like to be able to relax, not have to worry about pests of the creepy crawley type. With that being said, no matter what I do, how hard I clean it's as if it really doesn't matter. When I was married to my ex wife we bleached, shampooed, washed, scrubbed to no avail. It's never ending. I clean the kitchen, wake up to get something to eat and they scatter! Roaches, little ones, medium ones. Just everywhere. You can imagine where my appetite would go. The way of the dodo, that's where! So, as far as the two stars are concerned, that's what caused the plummet if the rating. In regards to repairs, they don't occur unless I grab a maintenance person when I'm off and talk them into fixing whatever might be ailing my apartment. I've personally spent my own money fixing things, money I don't have. I'm weary, rest occurs in broken moments. When I do get to rest I'd like to not have to worry about what might be crawling in my pots and pans, on my plates and utensils. The reason my complex gets any starts at all is the people who work there. To my face as far as I can tell they are very kind and sweet, not disrespectful or ugly. I hope what I've given is enough information. Thank you for your time.
