The historic neighborhood of Old Town is located in the North Side of Chicago, adjacent to Lincoln Park. Its buildings date back to the Victorian era, but the pace is anything but old-fashioned.
Old Town is lively both day and night – residents enjoy the cool, eclectic shops as well as rustic taverns along Wells Street. When you first step into the community, you’ll probably notice the iron “Old Town” sign. You’ll also discover the diversity here, both in food and culture. The comedy zone is a great place to go for a good laugh – check out the Second City or Zanies Comedy Club for weekly shows.
In addition to the eclectic shops along Wells Street, residents find comfort in the local market where they can purchase fragrant spices, imported oils, and blended wines. Many family-owned restaurants reside here - from pizza parlors to steakhouses and sushi.

Property Ratings at K Square
We've been living here for a year now and continue to be amazed by the incompetence of the management group. The actual building and location are great - but I would recommend avoiding the building purely due to the terrible management.
I have been at K Square for two years. First-year was a nightmare, the apartments in front of me were Airbnb rentals and every weekend there were parties (with alcohol, drugs, and loud music). I complain to management but it was only COVID that made them stop. Then, I had issues with the windows, every time it rained my apartment will flood, months went by and they did an easy fix that never worked. That prompted me to change units. My new unit has been ok, however, there was a water outage and it took them a couple of days to repair it for the entire building, however, my unit kitchen faucet water pressure didn't work and it took them over a month to send someone to repair it. Also, the maintenance team that had been here for years and one of the very few reasons I liked this place, all quite because of how bad they were all treated by the property management company. They brought new people but the cleanliness of the common areas has declined severely. You would think that during a Global Pandemic there will be either hand sanitizer or wipes to clean the Gym Machines but there is nothing. The Laundry room is always filthy with bugs, machines are growing mold inside, and sometimes they don't even work or leak. Finally, the most outrageous part is receiving my rental lease renewal and seeing how they decided to INCREASE my rent by 56.25%. Like basically making sure I was not able to afford it and forcing me to start looking into other places to live.
For us we love our unit we have breathtaking lake and park views. The whole apartment was updated a couple years ago. Amenities our on par with brand new buildings that cost 3x as much. It would be nice if we could use the amenities more though. The sundeck/pool is still locked up (pool understandably so as it's only April) but would nice to be able to sit on the chairs that have been set out on warmer days. Also the gym closes at 10pm which doesn't really work for my schedule. Maintenance has been on top of everything so far which is great.
